Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company.   2. Dollshe Craft and all dolls created by Dollshe, including any dolls created under his new or future companies, including Club Coco BJD are now banned from Den of Angels. Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD. This ban does not apply to other company dolls cast by Dollshe as part of a casting agreement between him and the actual sculpt or company and those dolls may still be discussed on the forum.     1. This was Dollshe's reply to someone who asked about seeing photos of David in pale tan:
      "Our master sculptor DollShe-Ki-yong did the faceup for the David Kuncci in the photos currently posted on our website. We have not yet cast David Kuncci, so there is no pale tan David Kuncci doll to photograph. For your information, the pale tan is the same pale tan on our existing dolls. We will update the photos once we start casting David Kuncci.
      Please let us know should you have further questions or concerns.

      So I guess he's what Dollshe envisioned, bushy eyebrows, swoopy lashes and all. I can appreciate that; I just wish he didn't look so sad. And there'll be other heads for this body? That's something to look forward to!

    2. he reminds me of Adrien Brody with the right faceup I can so see Adrian in him.. Not fond of those big bushy eyebrows they do nothing for him and those freckles either.

      I know this is a discussion about David but I asked Dollshe about the older styles coming back and this was their reply Now this is what I am looking forward to seeing : ) So for all those that have posted about where dollshe is headed I think they will be incorporating both new and exciting w the old and traditional.They have not lost sight of their fanbase Wooo Hooo!

      We will restore and upgrade the old style of dolls for release next year. Please let us know should you have further questions or concerns.

    7. I'm not really sure why anyone thought the old dolls would be discontinued. When your company is so small that you have your own mother stringing dolls at home to keep up with orders, you just can't have all of those releases up at once. He'll get back around to them, no worries! :)

    8. Oh - that's probably because DollShe announced that the old dolls would be discontinued and then had this massive sale on, which (if I remember that correctly) was advertised as the last chance to get the old dolls.

    11. Dollshe only announced that the older sculpts. would be discontinued but he left it open to what that meant as he didnt mention the bodies. and probably why they are going to make a comeback. : )

      I suppose one could say dollshe's response is vague or at least left open to interpretation in regards
      to what exactly will be.

    12. They actually announced to discontinue dolls in the last sale event:

      - The existing lineup of DollShe craft boy dolls, the very first of 70cm BJDs, will be discontinued. After the release of Bermann in the fall of 2003, DollShe craft broke new grounds in BJD joint systems. Our existing lineup of boy dolls, which enjoyed great love and interest for 10 years, will be made part of BJD history. DollShe craft is now poised for an exciting new beginning.       "

      earlier they wrote

      "      DollShe craft will be discontinuing our entire lineup of boy dolls "

      That could have meant "sculpts only" of course. It does imply head sculpts and bodies though, and probably is the reason why most people thought that the old style Dollshes are gone forever.

      No matter if they changed their minds or were planning to create new dolls in the old style all along, I'm looking forward to see what Dollshe will do next ;)

    15. I've no need to get David, but I keep going back to look at him as he really is a stunning creation - I love that he has strength and grace and theatre about him. He reminds me of Javier Bardem for that. :)

    18. I just can't get over that body......I don't have any room for a hunk like that and my other boys would feel so inadequate compared to him too.....hubby would flip too and get jealous. It's not like he is a real person after all:lol:

    19. Husbands...didn't consider that. I had that problem already with my Iple EID guy. Even telling my hubby that it was just a plastic doll, he could not cope with him. Luckily, I did not like some of his joints anyways. But of course, David is even more lifelike, so he may not love him much either. But I guess this won't stop me nevertheless from getting this gorgeous guy...
