1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Dollshe 28M discussion

Jul 25, 2013

    1. I'm glad that Mr Dollshe has re-thought David's torso - I wondered how much movement he'd have with those elomgated ribcage panels. The new design is still quite nice. I'm really curious about the function of those small button inserts on the inside surfaces. David's going to be very interesting!

    2. button inserts?......*goes and looks*...... oh...i didn't exactly see that. They kind of look like stoppers for his movement mechanism?

    3. Oh my...now he is really perfect. These inserts look as they could be made out of silicone and work as stoppers.

    4. Just wanted to pop on here to say that there looks like there is some more photos and options of David. You can buy hands, heads and body individually.

      Pretty cool! :aheartbea

    5. Saw this answer on the Q&A board from 11/11/13..........

      "Dear Cliff,

David Kuncci orders will go into production in around 2 weeks. We can't get the customized packing sponge ordered until we have a cast doll, so David Kuncci orders will start shipping in around 3 weeks once the customized packing sponges are made and delivered to us. Orders will ship out in the order they were place and paid for. We expect it will take 1-1.5 months for all the David Kuncci orders to ship out once shipping begins.

      Have a nice day.

      Sincerely yours,
      DollShe craft"

Hope Dollshe keeps to schedule!!!! :)

    6. I hope the packing sponges don't hold up the casting. I would have thought that the David doll on the website would qualify as suitable to cast the sponges. I know what it was like waiting for my new Bernard and I wouldn't be surprised if we are looking in to the new year for our boys. I ordered and paid for him on the first day of release.

    7. If the Dollshe waiting room is an accurate guide....the David orders are mostly what remain.
So....I'm thinking they should get focused attention. I am hoping we will have our orders by Christmas. If not, David will be my first BJD for 2014.

    8. I'm hoping Dollshe offers more faces for the David body, although he hasn't done that for Ausley yet. Since David's body is available separately it will be interesting to see if other makers' heads will work as well as his.

    9. Oh my gosh. I only just discovered this guy. What have I been missing out on during the last few months!

Hi everyone, I'm here to lurk.

    10. I've watched him from the beginning, but he's really a big guy. No matter how much I would love to have him don't know if I could handle him. Not to sure about the face up the factory gave think I would like to have a face up artist to do his face see I haven't convinced myself not to try to get him yet! LOL!

    11. David's factory face up was actually done by Mr Dollshe himself (he mentioned that in an early Q&A post). I think his face up is beautifully done but the poor guy looks so miserable! I'll probably give my guy a minimal face up, one that's a bit more upbeat. The artists I like best are nearly impossible to commission anyway so I guess I'd better start practicing.

    12. Man he's amazing. Would really like to some another faceup or two tho. The current one isn't to my taste and I have a hard time picturing it differently.

    13. Ausley painted by SDink is now up on the Dollshe website.
Looking forward to seeing what she does with David.

    14. She's done a beautiful job on Ausley and the four older boys; probably the best work we'll ever see on these dolls. David will look entirely different when she's done with him.

    15. David will be so hot looking, the sales for him will go up once she posts him.

    16. Oh man I was not going to get another doll this year. David...

    17. Joey, don't be affraid, you won't... Even if you ordered him right away there would be probably no chance of getting him sooner than the next year January [wink, wink]

    18. So neat! And another guy....oh boy!

    19. Oh my! How exciting!
