1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Dollshe 28M discussion

Jul 25, 2013

    1. Hi! I'll be receiving mine any minute now! *_*

      I'm just thrilled to pieces!

    2. Wow, David arrived today, totally unexpected. I ordered him rather recently. He's beautiful.

    3. You were right, but I now have him, with just a few days left in January. He's a beauty. But there's work to do for him.

    4. I got my David this past Monday. He is definitely a gorgeous hunk of resin. :) So far I think I have the style wig that works for him and will try some eyes. Tried Iple dress shoes which seem to work. Haven't put any clothes on him yet because he is just too beautiful to look at....LOL.

    5. Hello everyone! :) For some time I've been admiring your Davids and I thought I'd share also mine. I received him less than two weeks ago. He's still blank, but is made of pale resin (as the only one in here, as far as I can tell), so may be useful for the comparison purposes. I just adore his sculpture! In every possible way he exceeds my expectations and I simply love him :aheartbea

I got for him a pair of Dollshe urethanes since I didn't find any other eyes suitable for such a realistic doll (but that's my taste, of course). They fit perfectly and look gorgeous (will be ideal for his character). Very beautiful eyes, indeed:

...and here's the whole arrival if someone was interested: http://www.flickr.com/photos/redribboneddolls/sets/72157640045706774/ :)

    6. He's beautiful in pale!

    7. Has anyone tried changing out the hands and feet?
There is no hook, so it looks like you need to unstring him

    8. batchculture, Isn't he...? :) I must admitt I hesitated between pale and fresh, but my character's skin is snow white so I barely had a choice. Anyway, I'm most glad because the shade of his paleness turned out to be very subtle and pleasent to the eye.

    9. I was wondering how easy do you folks think it'd be to do a subtractive mod with his upper eyelids... Don't get be wrong, I love the sculpt and he looks very nice with his heavy upper lids, but he's near perfect for a character EXCEPT for the eyes... I want to carve into the upper eyelid to give his eyes a more elven look. I've never done any extreme mods like this before and might ask for help if I was to pursue this... do you think it seems like it'd work out well? Also, does it seem feasible to mod him so he has a more angular lower jaw?

    10. Beautiful Davids everyone! I'm popping in here because I think I want to order David too. I never ordered from Dollshe even when I wanted Saint because people were waiting up to a year for theirs dolls not to long ago. Has Dollshe been putting their orders out in reasonable amounts of time? Thanks :)

    11. I waited about half a year for my preordered David. I think if you check the Dollshe Waiting Room you may get the idea about the average time between the order and arrival :)

    12. Absolutely! He reminds me of a statue, but seems full of life. I love contradictions like this :aheartbea

    13. Hey KingofChains, I think it would be a pretty normal eye mod, I bet it would work. :) I was thinking about opening the eyes on my sleeping head, because the expression is actually a lot different than the open eyed head, and I love it. I think it would be easy to make his jaw more angular, as well, if you're talking about just subtracting under his chin.

I just got one of these amazing dudes in Freshskin from the Marketplace. He is really beautiful. @_@

The Freshskin is a little lighter than I need though, so I'm already looking to trade him for Oriental resin. Man, I wish Dollshe wait times weren't so incredibly long. :...(

    14. Dollshe David in tan with his new face-up

    15. wilson22, your David in tan has got me thinking of bronze statues.

    16. @RedRibbon I love your David in Pale Skin! He looks amazing! :D

    17. Wilson22 - very impressive and commanding in the darker resin. You said "tan" is that the Dollshe Tan or the Dollshe Pale Tan?
I agree with Vetiver, he looks like a bronze statue.
