Dollshe Classic 8B (39cm) Robin & 6G (35cm) Rosa

Oct 3, 2015

    1. @liwhitesa what color did you get?
Hope you are as pleased with your pair as I am with mine.
My Robin and Rosa arrived yesterday earlier than I had thought they would. Only had time to open their boxes, see all was there that should be, and take each out for a quick peak. Their honey peach fresh skin color is just awesome.
They are truly wonderful and well worth the long wait.
Will not have time to check any eyes, wigs, clothing, or shoes on them until possibly this weekend.

    2. Pictures anyone? Mine probably won't be here until Monday.

    3. The children are on their way home. There should be quite a few photographs very soon. :)

    4. I can't wait to see some owner photos, too.
And until now I got no shipping notice. Curious whether I'll get one tomorrow, but I'm not getting my hopes up too much.

    5. I received the Ebony and the Pale Tan but I think I might sell the pale tan? they have a lot of extra hands and feet and Rosa has extra legs on a whole lower leg love all the details .

    6. I've seen pictures on another forum and they look and pose wonderfully!

    7. That's good to know :)

Well, I received my shipping notice this morning, too, which means that my Rosa will most likely be here in two weeks.
I should be organizing a face-up artist, but with LDoll coming next month, too, I don't know whether I'll be able to get everything done, so she might end up waiting for a face-up somewhat longer. Poor little thing.

    8. She finally showed up this morning! Here's a picture of my Rosa. She's in copper oriental. I have Eyeco soft glass eyes in as well and a 6-7 wig.

    9. I love her face, so childlike. Congratulations.

    10. Thank you Theresa!

    11. @elfstone your Rosa is very cute :)

Surprisingly enough, my Rosa arrived yesterday as well. Somehow she escaped customs, that hasn't happened to me for a very long time, I'm really happy about that. Now to find her a face-up artist.

I also noticed that she has very interesting measurements. Normal MSD clothes are too small on her, not even my Holiday Child outfits are a good fit. The tops are okay, the pants and skirts not so much. So I guess I'll have to sew for her myself.

    12. Thank you!

Ooooh I love how you've already styled her ( even tho her tummy protrudes)! LOL. Where did you get your eyes? The only place I've shopped for eyes has been from Safrindoll. I don't think mine are quite small enough to fit those tiny eye holes.

I'm going to be sewing for mine as well. Her measurements will be challenging. :ablink:

    13. The sculpting is just stunning. Those are the face and hands of a real person.

Still so disappointed that these ended up being too small for my needs. That little face would have been perfect. Ah well. The search goes on.

    14. Congratulations Sharkyra on your Rosa! Love, Love that face!
Does anyone think that clothes for Disney animator dolls would fit Rosa's body?
Sadly, no shipping notice on my Rosa so far, but I am getting more excited after seeing the first two girls.

    15. @MadamMauMau they are absolutely too small for the 70 cm guys! Actually, if she was a little bit thinner and if her had was smaller, she'd make a perfect child for the Fashion Line.

@elfstone the eyes are a problem for me, too! The eyewells are a little bit strange, so the only pair that was a good fit were these eyes. I don't even know where I got them from. I think I bought them from either Lauscha or Kanis some years back at a doll fair where the had a booth. They are glass eyes on a metal stick and probably meant for a different kind of doll, but at least they are a good fit. I think I'll go ahead and order some 8mm eyes for her. They should be a good fit. Hopefully.
BTW it is possible to close the shirt, but it's a horribly tight fit and I rather not risk the snaps to come off. ;)

    16. Okay Sharkyra, I don't feel so bad then about the eyes. Yours did look like they fit much better than mine. I'm going to try to find some eyes myself. The ones she has in are 11mm soft glass. I couldn't get any smaller from Safrindoll.

    17. @Sharkyra if the eyewells of these are like the eyewells of the other recent sculpts, like the 28Ms, they are pretty deep and suit round eyes in the specified size or half round a millimetre smaller, so 9mms. I know Glazki does odd sizes, so that might be a place to look. I imagine 10mm half rounds stick in the eyewell and won't go right to the front.

And, according to my calculations, these would be about the size of a two to three year old for the 70cm, so it could be viable if you needed a child that young. The chunky body would match with that age range too.

    18. You are both right. I just went and measured them.

@elfstone yes, they do fit exactly into the eyewells. I compared a couple of small eyes here, 8 mm and 10 mm Glib: the 8mm already showed a gap, but other than that looked very natural while the 10 mm wouldn't fit decently into the socket. The pair she is wearing now are some 9 mm Kanis glass eyes, I just looked them up on their website, pretty sure that it's some of these in 9 mm.

@MadamMauMau your eye recognizing powers scare me! I'm in awe. Yes, they are indeed 9 mm eyes. And yes, they do make her look very young. I can live with that, but I'll go ahead and ask Kanis, whether they'd be willing to make a pair of 9 mm eyes with a smaller iris for me.

    19. Oh, I have had that problem with my fun-sized Grant. I couldn't figure out why 8mm rounds fit beautifully but 8mm half rounds stuck in the socket. After a lot of fiddling and some sanding down of resin eyes, I realised what it was, so that is the voice of experience there.

I am going to plug Glazki again for these, as they do small irises too. They are nothing like Kanis eyes in terms of quality, but they only cost $2. And Kanis will try and sell you 10 pairs of eyes, if you ask them for a custom size. But stand your ground and they will eventually relent and make you a single pair. Again, the voice of experience.

    20. Wow, I did not know that fitting eyes in these little ones was going to be a challenge. I have 10mm all ready for her but may have to rethink that now.
