Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD. This ban does not apply to other company dolls cast by Dollshe as part of a casting agreement between him and the actual sculpt or company and those dolls may still be discussed on the forum.     1. Here's a picture of my Rosa with new eyes. These fit much better than the first ones, although still not perfect. I don't have them in just right yet; I'm not used to working with such tiny eyes! But now I'm finally seeing a personality starting to shine through. :3nodding:

    5. I just caved and bought a Dollshe fashion size Amanda Beauty because they were going to discontinue the full set sale, I wanted another fashion guy but the girls have me really curious.
      Sigh.. Grant is a hunk, when I see Sdink's Grant I always think of the young Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin. Ahh I want more Dollshes too!

      I got the email announcement of Angela and Owen yesterday and just had to (impulsively) order both. Hopefully they will not take a whole year as the bodies are already finished.

    13. Ah! I got to play with a Robin yesterday but got so distracted with everything else I forgot to take photos. He is a lovely thing but, OMG, so tiny next to a 70cm doll (as I had feared). He is the height of a two year old with the proportions of a seven year old, so would probably work better with 60cm adults. Or to be just by himself. Nice thing, though.

    15. I found a photo of Rosa with a Saint. Seated they looked good together but I have no real concept of what a 6 year old looks like. The other day I thought someone was a youngster, looked at their paperwork and they were in their 30s. I am definitely getting OLD.

      P.S I found a growth curve chart for Korean girls and the 50% height for a six year old is 110cm. At 1/3 scale that is 36.7 cm so Rosa is in scale for a Korean child. American girl is 115.5cm so taller than Korean child.

    16. LOL. I know I have got old. That happened a LONG time ago.

      A six year old is about waist height, so about 42-43cm to a 28M. I had a mini AiL for the character I considered one of these for and she is 2cm taller than Rosa. I got rid of her because she was far too small, so I'm not making the same error twice.

    17. The real problem is that the 70cm guys are so gosh darned tall. But they look SO good that way.
      Short man envy here.
      I ordered some 9mm eyes for my munchkins so hope that they will fit Owen and Angela. Finding Afro wigs that don't look like crap will be the big challenge. I have not done well with my own attempts at wig making lately.

    18. Oh, and for your Korean girl calculation, the Big Boys are 1:2.6, considering a 70cm to be tall (six feet). So, an average Korean girl in that scale would be 43cm, so exactly my estimate. If we were to consider the Big Boys to be 1:3, they would be 6'11". Now, that would be VERY tall!

    19. I am so frustrated, I have gotten my Rosa back from the faceup artist but can't seem to get the photo to post here from my Flikr. All I get is a small icon with an X through it. I really do love how she turned out.

    20. On flickr click the download bar (far right lower corner), then select the size you want, copy link should get you what you can insert into pictures here. I used to be able to do it from iPad but they changed Flickr awhile back so now it only works from computer. Good luck.
