It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Dollshe Hound problem... yellowing or greenish??

Jun 10, 2006

    1. *nods* With the pattern of the yellowing I'd guess he got a lot of sun without you realizing it - a heat source would be more even without the 'farmers tan' lines.

    2. This may sound stupid but maybe clothes he was wearing? perhaps the dye stained him? I dunno, just a thought.

NM, I just realised his hands are also yellow :(

    3. I agree with Zoi, the way he's yellowed really suggests an outside source and not a fault. I know it seems fast for a doll to yellow like that, but I don't think it would be if it had been exposed to extreme amounts of sunlight...surely he must have had some without you knowing...
I'd be willing to bet that Tensiya will think the same too.

    4. Wow, this is weird. My Angel Elf Soo is almost a year old and I don't think she has yellowed at all and she stays out in my room day in and out(but I have no other dolls to compare her to). You say that there is no sun and no heat, and the outfit he comes with wouldn't have produced those kind of results, at least, I don't think they would. Talk to Tensiya, see what they have to say, but don't necessarily think that they are going to refund your money or give you a replacement.

    5. I don't know if this is exactly related as the Hound in question is a tanned Hound, but I thought I would point it out all the same.. I found this on Y!JA:

      http://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/87555590

The seller says that he is a tanned Hound, and that she washed him and then let him dry in the sun. (>_<) As a result you can see the discolouration all over him, and the difference between for example his torso and arms. It seems to be the same sort of 'greenish' problem that you are having, Kagari.

It's sad to see this sort of thing popping up more :( I hope that you can get yours sorted out.

    6. A small theory:

Did Kagari order him direct from a dealer or from a former owner?

Did he always wear clothing while in Kagari's care until she undressed him to clean him?

If he was owned by someone else before and he was never undressed, the exposure to sunlight/heat/whatnot might have occurred with the former owner and Kagari simply never noticed the difference in resin color until now. In which case, it could be a 'normal', if unfortunate case of yellowing.

    7. but if you look at the patterns... it seems a bit weird if it was caused by a light. How have the INSIDES of his arms gone greeny yellow and the joint is still relatively normal? And if it was caused by one light source, the patterns of colour are in pretty unusual places. Maybe this is again a case of a slightly bad resin batch... because normally hounds are completely fine, and this doesn't look anything like normal doll yellowing :/
