1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. Wait, I'm confused! Are they discontinuing BOTH 26F bodies or just the original Ausley Love body? Discontinuing is mentioned on both sales pages.

I am looking for a body for a Black Cherry Aishat head (which I don't yet, lol), and I'm still not sure which one would work better. I prefer the delicate hands and general shape of the Ausley body, but I'm afraid it will be too small. The head was sculpted for a SD16 size body (13cm shoulders, for example) and the Ausley body only has 11.5cm shoulders (although other measurements are larger, such as hips).

I have seen a photo of the Aishat head on the original Amanda Beauty body and it looks great, but I'm still worried the hands will look too large (even though I love their detail).

You can see that hybrid here: Black Cherry Dolls (@black.cherry.dolls) • Instagram photos and videos (hope it is okay to post that link!)

But anyway, now I don't know if the Amanda body is ALSO being discontinued! I thought it would be kept as a basic. If not, maybe I had better buy one now since it looks like it works with the Aishat head.

      Thank you in advance!

    2. StellaMarigold -- thus far, the dolls are only discontinued until ... they're not. Yes, DollShe did indicate his intention to discontinue just about all of his current lineup, including both female bodies and all of the heads. However, we've learned to take that with a grain of salt. Maybe he will. Quite possibly, he won't. Or maybe he'll discontinue them for anywhere from a few months to a few years, and then bring them back. One never knows.

It's very exciting dealing with the DollSheverse.

I have officially lost my mind. However, on the bright side, I will have plenty of Ausley Love bodies. I have ordered two full Ausley Love dolls - one with the Erica Snow head, because I think she'll look stunning in the caramel colored honey resin, and one in raspberry fresh with a Bernard head - plus a body only in Oriental. This, of course, is in addition to the review doll they already owe me, an Ausley Love head for the body I purchased from Jo that started the honey resin obsession, Adonis, and a fashion Michael Bowie. I am now going to go and freeze my wallet into an iceberg. :-P

Please -- do NOT let that man design another desirable doll during this calendar year at the very least!

    3. Good grief! Sounds somewhat maddening, but still fun! Thank you for the reply!

It also sounds like you are going to have your hands full - and how wonderful! I think the honey resin colors are really lovely!

    4. Hello, I'm very sorry to double-post, but since this is a new question I thought it would be okay!

Will the old Ausley hands fit on the new Amanda/Erica body? I think they are so pretty and I see that they are offered separately from the Ausley body.

      Thank you!

    5. @StellaMarigold The wrists on the new Ausley body are somewhat larger - not sure it would look very good trying to put the hands on the larger wrists.

    6. Thank you, @jo1961! I'll keep that in mind. I like the new hands, but they seem rather large, so I was thinking I might have the others as an alternative.

    7. Yeah, those arms are longer and hands are....mannish. This is a crappy pic cuz the light was so low but here's a comparison, Ausley on the left, aMANda on the right....

    8. Thank you, @dollhausen - yep, they're big hands all right! I actually think they are beautifully sculpted, but I love delicate hands, and in case I hate their proportions in person I thought the wrists might fit another pair of hands.

Since you have both dolls, do you think the Ausley hands would fit on the Amanda wrists (I know they aren't "Amanda" wrists but it is easier to refer to them like that :) )

Edited to add: or perhaps you have another suggestion? I thought maybe Dollstown (since you can buy their hands separately). EID hands are lovely, but they are not available without full dolls as far as I know.

    9. I don't have both dolls. I've never liked Amanda or that body. I was at a Doll meetup last winter with my Ausley and someone had an Amanda so we flipped them down for comparison shots. We should have brought a lamp over because the light was so low and it ruined the shots. But seeing the body in person didn't convince me at all. Here's a back comparison. You can see those forearms are longer and definitely thicker:

    10. Ah, I see, thank you! Very helpful! It is hard to find comparison shots even though I've been searching a lot. I'm not a big fan of the Amanda head (although I've seen some beautifully styled Amandas), but she's not the head I want for the body anyway. Maybe I will go for the Ausley body instead!

      Thank you again!

    11. Love you ev'ry day Diana,
      Always on my mind.
One thing i can say doll,
You won't show up in time.
      I wanna hold you,
      if Dollshe would ship you,
      hold you,
      unbox you,
Will join the one year club babe,
      In eight days this week.

Eight days a week, I looooove you
Eight days this week, for Dollshe to show how much he really cares!

    12. LOL! Thanks for the brain worm, dollhausen. The brain recognized the tune, even if the lyrics were ... artistically altered. LOL!

    13. I have written Dollshe twice about Diana - finally asking if they could just post a message on their web page as to the progress on Diana but nothing. I hear nothing. I have a subtle feeling that they may not have even started on the Diana production yet.:sigh

    14. Probably not. And didn’t I hear/read at one point that he reworked her? I’d certainly like to see that...since I ordered her based on the prototype.

Ah Diana...someday you’ll come home. Eventually. Maybe.

    15. I have faith that Dollshe will deliver something someday...

    16. Hello, again!

Can someone please give me exact measurements of the Ausley and Amanda 26F heads? All the website says is 7.5-8" and I know they must be on the small range due to visual evidence and the fact they can fit into Minifee wigs. I'm trying to compare with other heads for proportions' sake.

      Thank you so much!

    17. @StellaMarigold: 26F Classic Ausley head has exactly 18,8 cm circumference, it is 7,4 ''.

    18. Thank you very much, @nufa!

    19. After emailing Dollshe 3 times over 3 weeks asking about delivery schedule for Diana - finally got an email from them.
But email said they would address the question the next day and that was 4 days ago....Nothing from them.
I mean the Q & A does not work. My suggestion to them was to address the delivery schedule on Diana on their web site to stop all the email with questions on this but of course they do neither. On the positive side I think Mr. Kim is the best bjd artist producing dolls but his schedule, website - a mess. Why he chooses to irritate his customers - I have no idea.

    20. I've joined the one year club. Now I was pretty sure that was the case when I bought the Diana last year but I figured that we'd be closer to some concrete information by this point. Now I don't have faith that Diana's mold is even set. But I'll email him as well. Might as well let him know that there are those of us that are getting exasperated. After a year you'd think we'd at least be feeling like it was getting close. I don't feel like that at all......
