1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Dollshe Orijean & DSAM 35s body release

Jan 17, 2009

    1. I think they meant that...YOU should have a fan club 'The MadamMauMau Lovers' or something I guess, haha

    2. I don't know for sure, to me it seems that some of the parts in the torso must have spots for elastic to string to like in the chest maybe a hook shape grounded for the two arm cords to tension to, instead of one cord running through both arms. I guess a drawing of what I mean would make more sense.

    3. Like this maybe?

It seems to me that having anything not attached to the dolls internal structure would just leave it floating around and just as likely to be pulled around by elastic like in any other doll. So it would have at least five independent strings tethered to the dolls inside some how....But I'm just making a guess.

    4. Oh my~ :sweat I meant _your_ personal fan-club. :D

    5. naughtyfairyspirit, that looks likely. I thought I read something about the leg elastics being attached to the neck. I hope it's not like the new knee system Narae has where the elastic is hooked on resin parts that tend to break.
I can't remember reading whether this system uses metal parts or not.

    6. Wow I just saw the close up of the Orijean head and it's beautiful! I really love this boy- just as he is, I'm going to start saving right away!
I did some mock ups of his head and he is lovely- I can really see the Native American side of him now.

    7. melodian-calling: say, that's pretty cool :D

i've really been warming up to the body and i say that the posing makes me ecstatic! the new SA head seems wonderful too~ but i don't have the money for him now, but i do plan on getting the new dollshe dolls with the old new faceplates though, to be specific, hound/rosen. congratulations to those buying him, and hope to see owner pics soon :)

    8. oh that looks so good, i am musing thoughts about actually getting him in tan.....i am selling off some dolls, so if i can make up at least half? i am going for it.

    9. Is it just me or Orijean do look like Lee Jun Ki (The Korean star)?
Oh well, I like his face tho! :)

    10. Well, a wig and eyes certainly make him almost human. However, it was the alien style of the bald head that matched it so well with the alien body. I could see that as an appealling proposition for someone who wanted to make an andriod/alien/inhuman doll. Now I'm just confused.

And, yes, he does look like Lee Jun Ki. Haven't Souldoll already done him? Now who's poaching ideas, eh?

And LOL kaiohon, if you wanted to set up a NachtZirkus Audience Participation Group, you would be more than welcome. PM me so that we can keep this thread on topic.

    11. Dollstown just post the assembly instruction for DSAM body.
      Looks really fun!

    12. :? Doom. I am intimidated!

    13. Before I make any final decisions, I need to A) See the other heads/faces available for the body, and B) See the body dressed and posing. I'm really looking forward to this!

    14. Oh, that is SO COOL! I think I could do that! Thank you for posting the link!

Wow... Hmm... FACES, I need to see faces! Lol... :sweat

    15. Oh good God! That will need a whole Sunday afternoon to restring! I love their "It's as quick and easy as it looks"! Exactly!

At least it is very good to see that there shouldn't be any real reason why that head should not go on a different body. It might just need a very big S hook to stop the elastic from disappearing down the neck. Phew!

    16. Holey Moley! Now that looks like quite the project.

    17. Very nice explanation on how to string him, it doesn't look that bad, I see we won't be getting S hooks for the wrist and ankles. I hope that hip piece #10 doesn't get too much stress on a daily basis it's such a narrow curved piece. It's funny, in pieces like that the body looks less daunting to me.

    18. Oh, that looks like FUN!!! Want to play with restringing him!! *grabby hands*

I should stop looking at this thread. Seriously. Orijean just keeps demanding to be put on my "someday" wishlist.

    19. That extra piece, just above the knee - do you think it might be able to be left out, allowing the leg to be a big shorter? If so, I'd be very pleased indeed...

    20. i really don't think that you could leave any of the pieces out, they all seem to serve a specific function in the doll's structure.
