1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Dollshe Orijean & DSAM 35s body release

Jan 17, 2009

    1. I tend to think it's just a new aesthetic to get used to. Often the dolls look and feel quite different when you see owners photos. Who know what people will think of him in the end. I'm certainly interested. If only the AUD stops working against me so much.

    2. I've been looking at the restringing tutorial pictures and now I wonder if the body is able to bend its back backwards. Can de abdomen pieces slide over eachother at the front or will bending backwards leave a gap. The latter seems illogical, but I can't figure out how the front parts of the abdomen pieces fit on each other. Maybe the additional back pieces also get in the way.

I hope that the ordered dolls will be shipped soon. These questions I have will most likely be answered by owner pictures and comments. ^_^

    3. SA faceup
      OE faceup

Both pages contain an explanation as to why you cannot put SA faceplate on OE headback and vice versa.

    4. ....Actually blown away........so beautiful.

    5. Wow, the stringing configuration is really cool. I'm simultaneously excited and apprehensive about this release. I can't wait to see owner pictures!

    6. Orijean OE + faceup/hair = :ablink::aheartbea

Wow~ I am also blown away. Like. Wow. I have no words for this. lol

    7. OMG i am so glad i got SA Orijean, the new photos? total love!

    8. Hmmm, I must say; I was a little off-put by the radical joint make-over! But, I love the idea of the elastic in the arms hooking to resin knobs/nubs! Also, the skintones are great.
But what I am most excited about is the sheer size! In the pics, he looks like a doll that you can grab. I love my Siru [CP Shiwoo] to bits, but sometimes I just think he's so small!
Granted, I'm a male 6'3" freak; but I really am looking forward to comparison shots.

    9. Augh! I love the faceups they've given them! I'm terribly sad that I can't manage to scrape together the cash to join the preorder. :(
And how cool it is that they'll be modifying the heads to allow the faceplates to be interchangeable between OE and SA! Now who says he's unresponsive?

    10. Nope, can't say that I like them. Maybe it's just the sculpt too. Looks too... I don't know.

    11. Wow! Faceups and hair! Very, very striking. I love the mouth. It is like a slightly thinner, curvier Saint mouth. He still looks extremely stylised and, personally, it would scare the bejasus out of me to have that face looking out slyly from the corner of the room. However, I can really see it working for certain non-human characters. The ideal, no compromises Elf King! Good job!

    12. He definitely looks less alien with hair and make up. I realize that by using Orijean in all of the body display images, he was plugging the new sculpt but... The naked head just made the whole thing kinda creepy. o_o

Congratulations to those that took the gamble - looks like it's paying off :)

    13. I found that his eyes were too small for my taste so I'm surprised that it's a really nice sculpt when he has a make-up ! ^^
Can't wait to see more photos of him !
      *want a saint T-T*

    14. Even with faceup, he still looks like an alien... :3 Very stylished little insect-man <3
And the waterdrop in the first pic of face-upped SA Orijean kind of made my day lol xD

    15. Oh wow, gorgeous with the face up, and I still think he'd make a great Toua Tokuchi. Not that I can afford to get fan dolls with how many original characters I want to doll. Oh well.

Maybe the girl will look good for Mary Ann, or Mira. Mira especially would be better in this style...

    16. From my eyes, he actually looks far more.....nonhuman....with that face-up. Glad I'm going blank on both heads!

But, yeah, still very much in the realm of AMAZING nonhumans! I just cannot wait to see these boys start coming home!

    17. The faceups are pretty, but with makeup like that he looks very "fashion doll" - perhaps from an old 20's fashion picture when tiny cupid mouths and "Oriental" eyes (the term used back then) were the vogue. Would be fine if the head were a girl - he'd make a lovely girl :)

I'm looking forward to see what the new owners do with theirs.

    18. Thanks Twigling for the link to the faceups.

      Dollshe is pure genius.

I am captivated by how Dollshe Craft is evolving...the photo capability/locomotion/expression... I can't help but muse will be second to none.

Is anyone else seeing echoes of Afghan in this new face? I really like how delicate his features is.

    19. Now I'm glad I didn't preorder. I was sure I wanted an ebony doll, but these faceups are very tempting, and I'm afraid they wouldn't show up well on an ebony doll. I think I'll wait until owner photos are posted so I can get a better idea of what I want.

    20. That is exactly what I was thinking. That head on a flat chested girl body and in a flapper dress...or a big white fur coat.
