1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Dollshe Orijean & DSAM 35s body release

Jan 17, 2009

    1. I rather like the odd-looking body, and I love the Origin head. I've always been drawn to odd-looking dolls, though. I believe there's going to be a new-style Dollshe boy in my future, but I want to see the other heads before I make up my mind who it's going to be. It's going to be hard to settle on a resin color, too.

Dressing him will be a challenge, particularly if I go with the Origin head. He just doesn't look like a jeans-and-T-shirt kind of guy.

    2. Well...the naked posing was just "WTF, close the tab, CLOSE THE TAB!", but I believe he would look great in clothes. Maybe in a full overgarment...and gas mask XD

    3. The price list posted on Dollstown lists the body separately, so I may have to try it out. I've been waffling over what sort of body to get my floating Yukinojo head and I think this might be the one. I really like the new resin Dollshe is using and I really want to support an artist who is trying to inject some new life into this hobby instead of rehashing the same concepts in a grab for market share. My fingers are already cringing in pinchy fear at that curled-up back shot though! :o

    4. It is nice to see his posability... indeed with a full coat of silicon it could be a great doll XD in that way well... he only can wear clothes, without them he looks like a Terminator doll... maybe as an android doll he could be really cool... I am not a great fan of lowering beauty and armony to gain posability skills...

    5. I knows, look at all the pinchety little back segments ._____. And the picture even says "Please be careful when changing poses so that your fingers do not get caught between the joints"...that, coupled with Mr. Dollshe's comment about the irregular surfaces making up the insides of the joints, kind of scares me D= I fear for the fingertips of everyone ordering one...! Hope this guy plans to wear a shirt with those Ori-jeans! :3

But I imagine it wouldn't *really* be that much more scary/dangerous than restringing anyone else with complex jointing like a Puki or whatever >< heh.

    6. I really love Dollshe last body.
I think the new body like robotic.
      But fexible is wonderfull!!!

    7. If you want to see him, I'd be happy to oblige and order one ASAP! Only catch is I need to sell the stuff I have in the marketplace first. But I promise to take great pictures of Orijean when I get him!! :D

I think this guy will be awesome with his poseability. I agree with Zag that it would have been nice if the hands were jointed too. Wonder if Soom hands will fit at all? No matter. Orijean is amazing and a must have. Think he will be so awesome with or without clothes too!! I look forward to new face plates down the line.

    8. Yes please! YES PLEASE! Oh I wish I had more time to scrounge up dinero for him! Yeah I've been planning... But I'm a little slow on the ball. :sigh I would so buy him and the extra SA head sight unseen. Yes. I'm at that point in my collection where I can't look at anyone and give them the ax... It is an amazing feeling, but so frustrating at the same time when I want to bring this guy home ASAP.

I expect lots of spammage. A full exhibition of his body please. Mhmmm *nods*

    9. OH WOW. I don't know why, but after seeing him pose I kind of adore him. Certainly not a doll I'd want to own, but despite the "non-human" look of his body and weird definition of his muscles, his posability is really stunning. The next step forward with BJD design will be to get a doll with that same fluidity of movement, and keep the body looking human and smooth. Possible? Sure. Difficult? Heck yes. Regardless of all of its aesthetic "flaws", the Rhythm Body is an awesome piece of work. Bravo, Mr. Kim!!

    10. Does anyone know if that silver like ball is a "S" hook to hold the elastics for this guy?? I did ask before, but everyone is in a tisy over the new body structure. From the pics of the faceplate removed I am wondering how the heck did he managed to get that inside the head back?? Anybody know??

    11. It says that each of the metal balls has to be hand milled individually, so I'm sure it is a highly specialized part. We probably won't know more until people get the dolls in person.

    12. :?So it's a metal ball instead of a S hook? Now that is interesting....I wonder if the elastic goes thru it.....goodness I can see myself now if I get him how would I restring him*_*

    13. It is some sort of strange part.
I will restring any of these boys for free just to see him. :XD:

    14. The more I look at Orijean, the more I love about Orijean. I seriously can't wait to see owner's pic.....

    15. Heh, I'd been convinced I wouldn't have any desire for these new boys after that previous set of images I saw... but I was just watching some anime downstairs and got thinking, especially watching the main character shirtless in the opening, and now if I had the money to blow on a fan doll I'd be giving Orijean spiky blond hair, a green, blue and yellow uniform and a pitcher's glove...

Ah well, as I imagine it'll be years before I finish making my own characters into dolls, I guess I'll just have fun looking at pics of the ones that do make their homes around DoA.

    16. I don't really like the faceplate but I find the body very interesting. Its odd looking but I think that's what I really like about it. I'll just wait around for new face plates because that one is just...too alien looking.

    17. Heheh...I highly doubt it will fit. In fact, bet me, part of his design on this
doll was so it would *specifically* repel anything Dollmore* once it
came a cm. within contact...sort of like a magnet when you bring the wrong
      sides together...

    18. Orijean is probably trained to wake up and dismember all Model dolls when the lights go out. :eusa_sile

    19. *cough* We'd know who shot Larry.

    20. That would be too funny ^_^ Someone else mentioned it before about how Orijean's face grew on her/him. I totally agree. Same with the body, it does seem a bit alien like but I am really excited about getting him here to see what he can do pose wise. Plus I really love the story behind him-the Oriental youth who looks good in jeans with the Native American influence :)
