1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Dollshe Re-Launch of old style 70cm Body

Jul 1, 2010

    1. Hehe, I was hoping there may be photos of the Pure body on Dollshe Craft site opening, but I guess not unless I'm looking in the wrong spots. It is so cool to see the site open now though~!!! :D

      Big Dipper Edition?? XD

    2. I thought Dollshes had big enough dippers as it is*_*

    3. Did everyone see the new promotion at Dollshe? Who needs a body? Raise your hand! :D I think I'm breaking down and getting one!

    4. pris84, this event is only for those customers, who already have had the old Dollshe dolls with old 700mm bodies.
You can see all information here http://dollshecraft.com/board/data/1009134800ds18mpurebodyevent.jpg

The customer should send the old chest parts for verification and only after it, they will have the opportunita to buy the new body with OE head and SA faceplate for 325 $

    5. I don't think the order form is up yet.

      Upgrade Event Order Process

      1. If you own an older 700mm DollShe craft body, fill out the upgrade order form through the event bulletin board. Please use the following subject line: "DS18M Pure Body Upgrade Event".

      * DollShe craft will add a tag will to the front of the subject line to indicate the relevant stage the order is in. Please do not make changes to the tag. It can lead to confusion and complicate the processing of your order.

      * The tags are as follows:

[Upgrade order placed] - [Upgrade order confirmed] - [Request for payment] - [Receipt of payment] - [Preparing shipment] - [Shipment en route] - [Order complete]

      2. Dismantle the older 700m body and send the chest part to DollShe craft. After we check the part, we will process your order and return the chest part along with extra tension strings.

      * For upgrade orders, it is customary to collect and dispose of the older version of the doll and ship only the newer version. However, given how attached some of our customers are to the heads that are only compatible with the older body, we have decided not to collect and dispose of the older version of the 700mm body.

      * You must pay for shipping when you send the chest part to DollShe craft for verification.

      * DollShe craft pays for the return shipping (EMS) of the chest part after verification.

      3. When the upgrade order is confirmed, DollShe craft requests that the payment for the order is made to our PayPal account. If we do not receive payment within a week after the payment request is made, the offer will be automatically canceled and extended to the first person on the waiting list for the upgrade offer.

      4. The order goes into production once the receipt of payment has been confirmed.

      5. DS18M Pure Body is shipped.

    7. This is a very, very strange idea. For people in Europe, that means you will sent a part of your precious old body, with the over-expensive insured shipping cost, with the risk the post loose it, then when it's verified buy the pure body with the discount, then pay shipping for your new doll, then pay the customs for the value of your new doll AND the value of a doll part you already own. I don't think it's really worth it. >_>

    8. Hm...interesting...I find it strange that they want the chest parts, when the old Dollshe dolls already came with Authentication Cards with production numbers. Shouldn't that be enough? Aren't authentication numbers just for situations like this when one has to determine the originality of the doll?

I guess the old records got lost somewhere along the line so they have to rely on other methods...or I don't know...

I would love to know how tall exactly that new body'll be...I would want it exactly the same height as the old one...(and that one's definitely not 700mm..at least mine isn't...)

    9. What a bizarre idea. I guess he wants to verify that we're not sending Dollmore Model torsos? How are they going to keep 150 owners torso parts safely organized while waiting for the bodies to be made? :?
And more importantly, are there pictures of the new body yet???

    10. Thanks Gotiks! Sorry my first post was unclear but I thought the msg was Dollshe helped sort out my over the top excitement.

Yes ... for people that have an old body. It is unnerving to send back a piece (especially such an important piece as the chest plate for verification) but I broke down anyways. I have a spare Rosen FP that needed a body and this was just too good of an opportunity not to take it.

Katyok, if you write a message in the "Event" section, that's how you order. It's a bit like the Dollstown site. Here is the direct link to the board, in case anyone is having problems finding it:

      http://dec89161.gdreamweb.com/board/list.php?board_name=DREAMBOARD19

You'll of course have to register to the site first. And yes, you need an old DS body to take part in this offer.

Algesiras, I know what you're saying! Paying customs on something you already own is crazy! In Canada too, we have country custom fees, though maybe not as high as Europe. Maybe Dollshe can reduce the value of the box when it comes back? Or maybe you can get back any country custom fees when your Dollshe torso is returned? In Canada, I know if you hang onto your original shipping paperwork when you send something off (like something getting replaced, repaired or in this case, verified), you can get back any country custom fee that you pay when the item comes back (providing the address match, there and back) because you've only sent it away (for whatever reason) and therefore, it's not a "new" import. You never stopped owning it. I hope that made sense. Sorry had a hard time trying to explain this.

Is anyone else taking advantage of this offer?

    11. No photos yet! Crazy! I plan on labeling mine. Inside and out. Maybe write inside the torso with pencil and have a crazy string label too!

    12. I ordered one, not too crazy about sending the chest piece though, but the price is too good to pass on. I'll be labelling mine too, that's for sure.

    13. I placed the order too. I'm extremely uncomfortable sending the chest piece, but I want to take this chance. Well, gotta take pictures of my poor Husky before I dismantle him! I think I'll give him a tattoo for identification purposes (as if he hasn't suffered enough! this boy was my model throughout the Triathlon)

    14. Not necessarily. When I sold my Bernard (which I later kicked myself for) I couldn't find the card, so his new owner didn't get it. I've found it since and have it stuck in a drawer because I'm a packrat. So if they went with the cards the person who bought my Bernard wouldn't be able to get a body but I would.

Though considering the body is what was stopping me from getting a new Bernard, I think there may be another one in my future. :)

    15. Curious... Wonder if they will run a similar offer whenever they release the new female bodies? Although I have modded mine a little bit I hope it would still be recognised as a Dollshe girl.

    16. So.. this event does not apply to those that already preordered the body 2 months ago ...? I'd like to save over $300 too. :'C (honestly not crazy about sending out the chest piece though)

    17. I just wanna see pictures of the body! Ohpleaseohpleaseohplease!

    18. Well, that's not really what I said^^ Every legitimate Dollshe doll came with the card, yours too - it's just a byproduct of the secondary market that he's without a card now at his new owner's. The authentication numbers still should be enough. In cases where the owner can't find theirs, sending the torso piece could be a nice way of including them in the event, but I kinda feel cheated - I've been very proud that I can prove my Hound's originality, and now based on the company's actions it turns out that I've been holding onto a totally useless piece of paper?! I wonder how many other "Authentication Certificates" I have that are just as useless.... :(

Okay, this is just the postal service phobia speaking. I guess if they could have found another way to check the dolls they would have. And I'm really curious about all those new sections...especially the females and the kids! (and someone please tell me that the wait times for their urethane eyes are getting a bit shorter )

    19. As much as I would love to get a new body for my Hound (since his current one is just a little bit damaged)... tan skin. No matter how I stare at the new colours, I'm pretty sure the old tan is nowhere near the new tan colours. OTL

    20. Pris >
Thank you Pris! I really didn't know that, I will check how are the French laws about this! *3*
In fact, I already paid customs on something I already own, a head I sent to an artist to be repainted. But it's not even about money, I sent the head because I knew if the post office lost it, I can replace it (it was not a limited head). If I had an old dollshe body, I would be too afraid of loosing the old chest part, because it can not be replaced.

      Smaug >
This is an extremely pertinent observation. I saw fake Dollshe heads sold on Y!J, but never fake authentication cards.
