1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Dollshe Re-Launch of old style 70cm Body

Jul 1, 2010

    1. I really love my Hound and there is no damage to him, so as far as I am concerned I won't be participating in this event. However I would love to order a new Dollshe Rosen with the new pure body later once I start seeing owner pics.

    2. Glad to help a bit, Algesiras! You're right though .. those old chest pieces would be irreplaceable if lost or broken! Let's hope all chest pieces make it to Dollshe and home safely!

Out of interested, I asked Dollshe if I sent one chest piece, could I buy 2 or 3 dolls. The answer is no. 1 chest piece per event priced doll. I might ask if a person sent back 2 or 3 chest pieces, could they buy 2 or 3 dolls then? Or is it only 1 event priced doll per customer?

My 2 cents about the chest piece return ... I'm not happy about it but like the others that took the plunge, I think the deal was just too good to pass. And I would guess that Dollshe wants something as vital as the chest piece because that is one of the biggest or most vital areas of the doll. It proves you really have the doll. So many people make hybrids nowadays, they add in different arms and legs from different companies, dollshe feet and hands could be bought separately and I would imagine that like it's been said before, people loose their certification cards or they could probably faked easier than a reproducing a doll's chest piece. The chest piece is pretty much the heart of the doll and is probably the most distinct piece of the Dollshe body (other than that embarrassing bum) that wasn't sold separately. And, I think if someone sent back a reproduction piece (for whatever reason), the chest piece would be the easiest piece to show the flaws of a fake.

I think we've all felt how very particular Dollshe is when it comes to sales and production. This whole event should not come as any surprise to us. :sweat

    3. Are we supposed to send the chest piece right away, wait for a response from them on the board. Any idea?

    4. Not participating in the offer program, but definitely waiting with great interest to see the new "classic" style re-issued Dollshe body when it's released, as I would definitely like to get another Dollshe boy with this body style in future! Something very nice to plan for! :) :aheartbea

    5. One thing that hasn't been noted is that the inside of the peice being sent may have marks that whern't smoothed out before casting- I recall somewhere in the old dollshe/dollmore thread there where pictures of inside the body, displaying these scored marks on the inside.

Not owning an original Dollshe body means I can't check, but perhapse the marks are on this peice being sent?

    6. Posted on dollstown site:
Ahhh... well kinda figured this would happen.

    7. Thanks, Twiggy! lol, at least we are not surprised. It is nice they informed us though.

    8. I'm trying to order, but can't find the link to do it on their site - of course, I'm panicking and it's the holiday week there. >,<

    9. Scroll down the home page until you see the cheesy "event" logo on the left sidebar. The bulletin board and directions for ordering are there. ;)

    10. Thank you!
I hope I'm not too late. I also hope my Tan chest doesn't get lost in the mail!

    11. Are you getting them to match the tan, or are you going for another shade of body? O_O

    12. They return the chest to you. I was worried about that, too!

    13. I agree with you on the loving of my Hound, but I am going to participate in this event --- it's basically $400 (including shipping to US) for a brand new dollshe boy + face plates. It's way too good to pass up --- for me anyways... :) Plus, I've been waiting for an opportunity like this to get a Rosen. (He has those great bedroom eyes!!!) Just remember---- pack well... and track your shipment.

    14. I sent off my chest piece to Dollshe for verification and got it back in less than 14 days! They included a package of elastic like they said they would. They had sent me a notification of the return shipment with a tracking number through the event board. So far so good........

    15. New notice about work up on dollstown here: http://dollstown.com/zboard/view.ph...sc=on&select_arrange=headnum&desc=asc&no=1917

his response to someone's post here (relevant since he is commenting on his work): http://dollstown.com/zboard/view.ph...sc=on&select_arrange=headnum&desc=asc&no=1921

Apparently some health problems causing delay. I'm very curious on how the pure body will look! Does anyone know if the chest piece event is still available? Still debating on whether or not to wait for pics or jump in.

    16. Have you guys seen this on the Dollshe site: (Quoted below from site and link)

"DS18M Pure Body photos are being edited.
Edited photos will be posted on November 24.

Thank you so much to everyone who ordered Pure Body without a single photo, acting solely upon your faith in DollShe craft dolls. We also thank you for your patience and understanding regarding the delay in production. As many of you know, the original sculptor DollShe-ki-yong's health problems prevented him from working as quickly as he wanted. The original model is about 90% complete. The completed original model will boast a high level of delicacy and sculptural integrity. DollShe-ki-yong is hard at work, putting in the final touches. We do understand the inconvenience the long delay has caused, but we ask once again for your kind understanding. Please consider the wait a painful part of the creative process that will result in a beautiful and high-quality doll.

*For details on placing a pre-order, please refer to the relevant announcement.

This is what sets DS18M Pure Body apart.

The most notable characteristic of DS18M Pure Body is the delicate rendering of muscles for a more realistic body line. A simple feature, invisible from the outside, has been added to the interior the joints to allow for more delicate mobility. You will be able to put the doll--even when it is fully clothed--into a wider array of poses. Our focus was convenience. The range of mobility will be similar to that of the older 700mm version of Hound. "Poses can be arranged in line with personality." You will be able to experience firsthand an upgraded mobility structure by DollShe craft, the first company to create multi-jointed dolls. We stayed faithful to the original joint structure while enhancing the natural contours of the body.

*More details will be provided along with photos comparing Pure Body with the old DS18M body. We will continue posting updated photos thereafter.

We will extend a 50% refund to customers who placed pre-orders for DS18M Pure Body through Dollstown.

We will be refunding 50% of the purchase price (shipping not included) to customers who placed pre-orders for Pure Body through Dollstown. The refunds will be processed within the next 4-5 weeks. We will be sending each customer a personal email, and the refund will be posted to your PayPal account. We decided to do this as way to apologize for the delay and to extend a special offer to those who have not been able to enjoy any special benefits from placing a pre-order. We would like to extend our apologies once again for disappointing you with the prolonged delay. We will begin shipping to customers who placed their orders via Dollstown 2-3 weeks after the original model is complete and the doll production goes underway. Expected shipping dates will be posted later, and we will post individualized messages once your order ships.

We will refund shipping costs to customer who took part in the Pure Body Upgrade Event through the DollShe craft official website.

We will refund the shipping cost for sending in the chest part for the Pure Body Upgrade Event. Many of you had to temporarily part with the chest part of your beloved dolls and went through the hassle of shipping us the chest part for verification purposes. While the goal of the special event was to get as many people as possible to experience the superiority of Pure Body, the event ended up involving a very complicated ordering process and was not extended to those interested in DollShe craft dolls but do not currently own any. We have revised the terms and conditions of the special event to allow for greater and more convenient participation.

      Experience DS18M Pure Body Event

We extend a 50% discount on orders for Pure Body made during the period specified below. The doll will ship in about 1 month after the order date. If we receive a large volume of orders and expect shipping to be delayed, we will notify you beforehand. This event is aimed at promoting DS18M Pure Body to as many people as possible. We hope it will be a great opportunity for JD fans interested in DollShe craft dolls. This is a one-time limited offer. We ask for your interest and support.

    17. Seeing as today IS the 24th... where might the photos be located? D:

    18. Looks as though Dollshe is delayed in posting the pics..... Hopefully soon.

    19. Pics are up! I'm in love with the more muscular torso and arms. :D I reaaaally want to upgrade my husky's body now that I've seen pics, but he's a few years old now and I have no idea if his ws resin will still match with the resin they use now? @_@

    20. My $.02 about the new body;
Sculpting is great! The muscle detail is wonderful, and it seems more proportional overall. While I'm not crazy about the design for the elbow and knee 'peanuts', I could live with it.
The letdown? No hip joint. :sigh One of the big appeals of the old Dollshe body was that it was able to slouch with the best of them, looking very comfortable. Personally, I really like the combination of a chest joint and a hip joint, it helps a ton with posing.

I'll suspend final judgment until I see it finished, and put through its paces with posing, maybe it'll still be able to do what the old body did.
