1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Dollshe Rosen discussion

Jul 31, 2009

    1. Dollshe's are ok ;)

I ordered and paid for mine! now the wait!

    2. Are you sure that is the reason? I was wondering cos this mold looks quite different than the original Rosen mold they showed pics of...but then again I could be on crack :?

    3. He definitely looks different than the Rosen faceplate in the original preview picture with the pile of faceplates. I would guess that the changes merely refer to the fact that buyers requested that the OE and SA faceplates be interchangeable. He did say he'd have to go back and re-tool the heads to make this possible.
As for the statement that the head won't fit the old style body, he said that about the Saint and the Orijean also. There really isn't much one can do to a simple ball and socket to make it non-compatible, though. :sweat

I think he's fantastic and I can't wait to see all of our leading lights in the face-up world get their hands on him!

    4. I'm sooo in love with his eyes, oh crap when will i make it to get a new DS boy!!!

    5. Oh, darn. Does this mean I should wait and see if there are even more heads being released soon...!?

Oh, well, I need so save up more moneys to afford the body. :sweat

    6. I hope it doesn't always happen with the future heads. I really really want a Bernard, and I don't like the new body at all. I was set on buying just a head, but if it won't fit on any other body it's really pointless.

    7. Honestly ... I have no clue. I'm just throwing stuff out there. I'm sure that buying the body (aka more $$) has something to do with it too. But I really kinda wonder if it doesn't have something do to with old and probably sore issues with his copy problems.

I guess too, the Orijean head never really fit on the old bodies too so maybe (hopefully) it will just be the same issue.

    8. Tracking this thread for photo with faceup : )

    9. pris84: Oh, thanks for the explanation. ^^

overlordu: Yeah, it's no longer there, but now I'm not confused because he says that there will be a SA version when earlier, he didn't say so. So the previous description meant that there indeed was going to be a mod - a mod to SA version. ^^

I know I already want these boys, but I'm going to wait for the faceups before I do the final say. ^^

    10. Comparison shots with Hound:

    11. Lunasa: Great comparisons shots! You can clearly tell the difference in the eyes and the lips. I think I prefer the more open shape of Hound's eyes.

    12. I am completely confused by the Dollstown site. How do you find out prices, and how do you place an order? If there is a tutorial, point me to it, please, lol!

Edit: I think I figured out how to get the order info placed on their order board. Do I wait for a reply there, or do they e-mail me?

    13. Ohhh but don't speak too soon ;). I did a photoshop enlargement and with a bit of
contrast (lightened the nose against the edge of the face) you can see the profile of the
nose and wow...I think that looks alot like Bermann's nose with the little 'dip' before the
      tip. How cool is *that*?

    14. But they are^^
I mean OE and SA faceplates are interchangeable. A friend of mine has two faceplates for her saint and changes them. There's no need to customize the head.

    15. Wow!! What a great comparison. I would love to see a similar one with Bermann because I really do not see the resemblance LOL.

    16. He retooled the Saint heads before releasing them based on the feedback he got about Orijean. The SA Orijean head is the only one that has a little gap in the fit.

    17. St. James
      Thank you, I didn't know about it^^

    18. This is a bit off topic but does anyone here know if a v.1 or v.2 head will fit on the DSAM 32/35 bodies?

    19. I really love Rosen. He's the perfect mix between Bermann and Hound for me. I especially love his nose. I've wanted a Dollshe boy for years, so maybe it's finally time to stick one higher up on my list. Though I'd have to find an older body for him because the DSAM bodies just don't do it for me. ><';

    20. I just got my hands on the new head with the face plate this week. Using the neck donut piece from Luts I was able to put the S hook on the old body to that head without too much problem. There is some movement restriction but nothing I cannot live with. The new Saint head I got is Freshskin and it matches the NS v2 Hound body I got. So that is wonderful for me.

So right now I am just waiting for the Fresh skin Rosen head I order to come to see if the same system can work or not before deciding to get a new body or not.

as St. James mentioned above, there is no gap between the face plate and the head. However, on my head the face plate (around the chin area) has the tendency to pop up and away from the head every time I try to adjust the wig. It really feels like as if his face is falling off - scared me couple time. So as much as I love the idea that you can switch between SA and OE face concept with the face plates, it really bothers me that the face plates are not 100% secured in his design. (the face plate system of LittleFee and Puki feels more secured and tight)
