Dollstown Elf Body Discussion - Part 2

May 21, 2015

    1. Wren and Fawn look delightful dressed in their sweet period style outfits. And please where did you find shoes to fit this body? I like both of the styles for the girls.
      Thank you.

And safe journey to Wren and I look forward to seeing her again soon.

    2. Hi everyone. I've recently become interested in the elf body as a girlfriend to my Little Rebel Seven who's on a Dollmore Youth Adam body. Does anyone have both an elf body and an Adam body side by side in a photo that they could post here? I'd really appreciate it!

    3. Sorry Pony I don't have any of those dolls here at home

    4. Me neither - sorry

      Teddy

    5. Jane - the leather tan Mary Janes were from ebay. The blue sandals are from NineStyle with
a bit of a fit adjustment at the buckle. These gals are fun (& addictive) to buy for!

little Wren has arrived at the "spa" now and I can't wait to see her new face! very excited!
I may need to start working on a new outfit for her - for her debut....

    6. I was so hoping that by the time I finally got to join DOA that someone would have made shoes that fit the DT elf body! I don't like the clodhopper look of using the SD size shoes and the MSD size is way too small!!! I have two elf bodies already, with the third on the way!! Are my girls destined to be shoeless forever?

    7. Thanks Jane! I lean toward the Connie Lowe/Val Zeitler styles but I think I may have to get more open minded!! Kim's dressy sandals look lovely and several of the outfits I am planning to sew this fall (when temps cool down) from antique laces might work well together!! I make the leather shoes for my antique bisque reproductions but they are not my favorite pastime in small sizes!!

    8. Welcome Ikayet, I hope you share photos of your creations...

Jane, dose Kim Zentner have an Etsy store...?

    9. I think that Kim lists her shoes on Flikr if I'm not mistaken Dragonlovesdolls.

    10. Ok, thanks Theresa, I'll just watch her flickr... not that it is hardship to look at her lovely shoes, LOL!

    11. Theresa is correct.....Kim gives her email address in her profile on Flickr

    12. Dragonlovesdolls, I have found that some Dollheart MSD shoes run big enough to fit the elf body foot.
      Like these.

    13. Thank you again Theresa, that is very helpful!

    14. Little Wren is back from being repainted! I posted in the gallery, but will post one here too.
I am SO happy with her - she is similar to my favorite Fawn - but a little different!

Both Wren and Fawn (my first) are Dollstown Elf Soyu gals - both oriental resin.
Jay painted Fawn last year for me - and I've just loved her ever since!!!

Fawn is the brown eyed blond, Wren is the green eyed redhead.
Both wearing dresses I'd made; MoniqueGold PrettyGirl wigs; Gumdrops eyes; dolljewelsbyange necklaces.

    15. Awesome, lovely girls Robyn

    16. How well she looks beside Fawn!

      Teddy

    17. They both look so pretty and very much like sisters, but as you say sisters with little differences! You must be thrilled!

    18. They're so cute together (^^ )

    19. Thank you Teddy, Jane, and BadouLagrenouille! :)

I took a few new photos of the gals today - here is a summery photo of my Fawn and Wren -

I am sorry to say that I do not recall the name of the etsy seller who made Wren's crochet shoes.
Fawn's shoes are by Kim Zentner (a special order).
