1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Dollstown Elf Body Discussion - Part 2

May 21, 2015

    1. If you click on the picture of the magnifying glass in the top right of the page the search box comes up - beneath it is the option to tick the box marked "Search this thread only"

As to MSD heads on this body.... the DollsTown 7Year and 5Year heads fit on it. With heads from other companies, it would depend on how big the neck hole was and how big the head were overall (if it's at the small end of the MSD size-range, it might look out of proportion in a pin-headed sort of way).

    2. Nonexistent, Yes, it is definitely possible, especially if using one of the Dollstown MSD heads. I have a Seola 7 head on one of my elf bodies, and a Mini Elysia head on another. I would love to show you a photo but I can;t seem to get the hang of posting photos on the new DOA format. any larger MSD head, even if not DT might work.

    3. My Bimong Dandelion on the previous page is a larger msd and looks pretty good.

    4. This is another thread where I am just not getting notifications about *humph* so I have missed so much here too!
Sue I love your Nari so much!!! That is a perfect hybrid!

    5. I think there's some mechanism that stops sending notifications if you don't post to a thread for a while (no idea how long that while is, and it's just a theory, but I've noticed threads I'm more lurking on than posting are the ones that stop sending notifications).

Theresa, there appears to be something wrong with the picture you posted. Its not showing up.

    6. I actually unsubscribed and then resubscribed last night Teddy and that seems to have done the trick! And I will keep an eye on my other subscribed threads too now....thank you for that tip.

I will post a photo of Hesta (Arin on the elfbody) just so see if I can do it.......

      Yes I can!
Theresa I used the BBCode to share my photo if that helps........good luck!

    7. A lovely shot of Hesta, Jane. Is it recent or is it an older one?

      Teddy

    8. Fairly recent, I took it on April 1st..........I am taking part in a daily photo challenge for April on Flickr and this was taken for the prompt 'yellow'
I do change Hesta out of this cardi but she always ends up back in it, so it looks as if she never has a change of outfit poor girl! LOL!

    9. Some of my gang have clothes (or entire outfits) like that - I come to think of them as their "default" outfits

      Teddy

    10. That is how I see it too! I used to *fret* about it........but thankfully I came to my senses and realised they stay in that outfit because they look good in it.

    11. Absolutely - after all when I have a favourite garment or outfit I wear it a lot too.

    12. Aw thank you, you have so many beautiful dolls that means alot - Hesta is gorgeous by the way !

    13. It has been a couple years since I had a body in Orientalskin color resin. Is it my imagination or is it just a darker freshskin now? It seemed to me it had more yellow in it before (don't have that body anymore to compare) and now it is just pink. Also both my recent purchased elf bodies are very floppy compared to the first ones I bought. I now have to tighten cords as well as glue suede.

    14. Awww...thank you so much ((hugs)) I have two Arin dolls one on the elfbody and one on the DT7 and I think the head works perfectly on both size bodies.

Now that is interesting. I wonder if there has been a change in the colour mix? And is it the stringing on the newer design elfbody that is floppy? I have never held a newer design elfbody.

    15. Hesta is lovely @Jane! What a sweet face and cute photo!

Now that spring is fully here in the PNW - Wren (DT Elf Soyu) wanted to share
her spring-like heirloom dress. Her dress is fine cotton batiste with French inset
lace, embroidery and silk ribbon trim. I love doing the heirloom sewing!!!

Wren was painted by Jay Searle, necklace by Dolljeweldbyange; she's a new
Elf body in oriental resin. crochet shoes by an etsy seller.

    16. Wren looks so pretty in her latest dress......she is certainly ready for spring now. And I do love that you show her ears too and don't just hide them.

    17. Wren is lovely! Did you sew her dress? If so you did a beautiful job!...and if not you made an excellent choice :-)

    18. So beautiful Robyn. I adore her soft look.

    19. Thank you @Jane! I love the Soyu ear shape too, so try to keep the hair away as often as I can.

Thank you @Lynn G.! Yes, I made her dress - it took about 10hours with all of the intricate sewing.

Thank you @theresa 226! Wren is so pretty now with her new facepaint! She looks similar to her
sister, Fawn, but not the same. 'Somehow' I ended up with two Dollstown Elf Soyu gals!
