Dollzone 60cm Girls Discussion

Not unique to Dollzone dolls, certainly.

Magnets have fallen out of my Volks SDC and OrientDoll heads/caps.

I bung them back in with Superglue, and it's all good.

EEEE! my girl just got her new faceup! I'll post pics in the gallery when her head arrives... so exciting to see everyone's new arrivals!

 

My Linlan and Senxi arrived two days ago and I love them so much~!

I took pixs of both of them... I'll try to resize and post them tomorrow. Djai (Senxi) kept the body. He's quite the man, so I modded it for him. ^_^ I can now officially tell you that it's possible and actually quite easy to sand down the feminine boobs (as long as you have access to an electric tool)!

Mirsah (Lilan) will get her own face-up and body soon... ^_^

I bought a Dollzone Cherry on ebay yesterday , I cant wait till she comes she will be my first bjd
does anyone know what size of wig she will need and will other 60cm doll clothes fit her ?

Their heads are about 8.2 inches, so an 8-9 wig. Most SD wigs are 9-10 inches. She's also shorter and more slender than some other SD sized girls, but she can wear clothes made from patterns for SDs just fine. Her feet are also bigger than standard SD feet, so you'll have to look for larger shoes.

Separate discussion: Anyone have pictures of Cherry with 20MM or larger eyes in? I've been playing with the position of the 18MM eyes in her head, and I honestly think they're too small. They make her look like she just got the shock of her life. They also tend to make her look walleyed if you try to center them rather than put them up high in their sockets like in the official photos, so I'm suspecting they were bevelled so she would be constantly looking upwards?

 

I've got my Aki and she's lovely... I love how easily the body stands and poses! But of course now something non-collectible related has come up so she has to go up for sale -_- Sigh...

I noticed on edendoll that shoes for dollzone bjd's says that they will fit 1/3 or 70cm bjd's , so will other 70cm doll shoes fit her ?

 

If you can find out the actual length of the shoe, she has a 7.5 cm foot. CP/Luts boys have a 7.3 cm foot, for comparison purposes. You'll need a shoe that's at least... oh... 7.7 cm for it to fit her, I tried her in some boots that were exactly 7.5 cm and I couldn't squish her heel into them.

I think it depends on the 70cm. Dollzone calls their 70cm size boys "1/3rd" so that's what I'm assuming what they mean is those shoes fit the big boys. Hound feet are 8.7 cm, which is 1.2 cm difference, which is aaaaabout half an inch. So with socks, those could potentially work for your girl. Most Dollmore SD boots also seem to be 8 cm or larger, so Dollmore boots would probably work. I've generally found Luts girls shoes waaay too small, and only a smattering of their boy offerings fit. So it depends on the brand completely.

The 7.3 cm foot is REALLY close to American Girl/My Twinn size length wise, but I'm not sure about width wise. (I think they'd probably be too wide.)

 

I ordered a pair of platform Dollzone boots from Edendoll and they fit Djai just fine without socks. With socks on, they're a tight fit, so there's definitely no way to tuck any kind of pants inside. I have no idea how the Dollzone people managed to take a pic of one of their 70cm boys with the same boots worn over leather pants... Also interesting to note: those boots don't really have a tongue to help you adjust their size at calf level. They seem to have one, but it's actually sewn together with the rest of the pieces.

Lochness, I really like the eyebrows you did on your girl!

My girl/s is/are here. Yage has so far remained in possession of the body. Linlan and Shenxi (sp?) are content to hang out with the floating heads club.

She's wearing a Dollheart straight denim skirt, which fits very nicely, and a Dollheart tank-top that gaps at the top back due to the doll's broad ribcage.
The coat that also came in my Dollheart random-thingies purchase does not fit over the girl's lovely but spread-apart fingers.
She needs more clothing, as it is finally getting to 'seasonable' temperatures around here in Connecticut (a.k.a. br-rr-rrrrrrr!)

Have you tried boy clothes on her? So far, not much fits poor Djai. He won't wear anything girly, but as he has a very slender waist, my guys' pants are all a bit baggy for him. It doesn't matter: just an excuse to put my now huge pile of fabrics to good use. ^_^
I understand the floating heads club. Mirsah (Linlan) is the only member I have at home, but it's already too much! I wanna buy her a body, but as far as I can tell, only one seller has some. They're on Ebay and they charge $50 for shipping! Any advice?

 

I know that JUNKYSPOT http://www.junkyspot.com can order the bodies separately. I'm waiting to be able to get my incoming Recall head one...well, he does layaway, but I really want to be able to just GET IT when I have enough. I don't really know his shipping costs, for a body though, as I haven't ordered one that size from him. I'd contact Emory and ask.

As for clothes -- San *( my Linlan) is a lot bustier than most of my patterns, so i've had to adapt my clothes. I found haltertops or crisscross shirts fit her the best, imo

 

I believe shipping is $8-10 for a full doll, so that would probably for a body, too.

 

I'm thinking that's about standard for EMS; there's a high mininum for up to c.500g, and dolls, even without heads weigh quite a lot.

You may very well be able to buy a body from other sellers on ebay with a request.

That's how I got Linlan's head, as well as a 'whole' Yage, and of course Shengxi was a gift head.
