1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. LOL! Grimalkin, doing the "crazy" in this hobby feels so good! :dance

(There is nothing like the smell of new resin. :drool)

    2. yaaaaas. i still need me some more bodies... i think i need a DZ B68-001... need to go dig through some hybrid threads again.
agree about sales, plus some of the dealers give them frequently as well. such temptation... where is my enabler... :doh

BTW - does Dragon Po get discussed in here since it is 60" + over all, or goes with the head size (1/6)?

      • x 1
    3. I want to say he belongs in the 1/6 section due to his body and head size (no one is talking about him in general over there oddly enough)

    4. @Grimalkin Persobally, I'm shop-lusting after B60-005. I love me some scrawniness. My S.O.'s getting a bit too beefy for my taste(talk about 1st world problems. I just don't like muscle), so the thought of going ahead and grabbing that body gets more appealing every day.

As far as Po is concerned, I'd personally loop it in with the smaller dolls, but I remember observing an argument regarding the category placement. All I remember is crunching some numbers. I see Dragon Po as a young dragon. Not an adult. That being said, I don't mind either conclusion.

    5. hmm or if tinies don't want him in there, maybe team 1/4... i just want to chat about his feet haha

@FuyumiAya - i like that B60 too, but i think the other heads i have are too big proportionally, going to be bobble heads (switch boys & a crobi Lance).

    6. I don't mean to speak for the group but I think it's probably safe to say we're all enablers here.

    7. @Iron_Dog - i'll take as many as i can get  thanks for your support hahaha
i've said before, but it bears repeating, the long waits help spread out the evidence...
the hard part is where to put all those huge boxes... *snicker*

      • x 1
    8. @Grimalkin I've got all my dolls (64 of them, about 1/3 that are SD) in their boxes and I can basically stack them like cord wood at this point. I clearly have a situation going on. I'd like to be able to display them but I lack the room. Even if I did, I'd want to keep their boxes and I have no idea where I'd put them all as I live in an apartment and space is at a premium.

    9. let's build some forts...
i got some of those boxes from the craft store that have nice outsides for the accessories, and some dolls can curl up inside with their blankets if i'm working with them more frequently; definitely keeping boxes too. i put a bunch of the boxes in a shoe cabinet, the rest in a closet for now. my studio is too hot/bright to store resin in there, so only empties go there... my DZ Leslie came packed with another body from a broker, so at least that huge box was folded up inside, no foam...
      still, the struggle is real....

    10. Dolly box fort! I'm down for this.

Ugh! I hate that foam stuff. It's great for shipping purposes but I can't store my guys all dressed and wigged in the foam cut-out thing.

    11. Right? it frizzes out wigs so badly :XD:
but, keeps 'em safe i suppose.

    12. My wife pretty much made me leave all my dolls boxes behind in the big cross-atlantic move, so yeah.... but the new dolls that have arrived since then I've held onto their boxes. But our dolls are all displayed together (Except Kass because I need to make room for her in the set up still), standing on a huge dresser. I live life dangerously as most are not in stands (only a handful are...). Good thing I'm not on a fault-line!

    13. I don't think its a case of they don't want him in there. No one is talking about him and honestly confused where to talk about him. I believe he should go in the 1/6 thread even though he's a whooping 68cm due to the head and torso sculpt being of 1/6 i believe x.x but again these dolls are so confusing lol. I'm getting a Po just not even sure as well where to talk about him :(

    14. I have the same issue with my Carter/Sawarieda hybrid, the head and torso are 1/4 scale, but the whole doll is 109cm, which seems a bit... hefty... for the 1/4 discussion thread

      • x 2
    15. Yeah that would be an issue XD I might send a message to the mods to tell me exactly where Po belongs XD just to be sure since more and more of these really really long fantasy BJDs keep appearing from DZ lol since they are the masters of long tailed BJDs if we look at their history.

    16. Yeah. Generally, I throw out the foam and put in pillows I make. The easiest pillows are to take a pillow case and put batting in it and sew it closed. But sometimes I'll make one completely from scratch in a pattern/fabric that suits the character.

      • x 2
    17. @Girrl @Grimalkin Basically what the mods say :) if it has a head and torso for the size class like 1/6 it'd go in there no matter the length :) hopefully this helps. We will be moving the Po talk into the tiny section i believe XD

    18. Iron_Dog, I really like the idea of pillows to replace all the foam! That's brilliant! :thumbup

I'm definitely going to give this a try.

    19. @Rabbit-moon I'll typically get the pillowcases or shams from the 2nd hand store. They're pretty cheap there and you can usually find some interesting patterns and fabrics. The nice thing about making the pillows is that if you're taking your doll somewhere, You can pop them in the doll bag with their pillow as an extra layer of protection for them.

    20. Hmm, so I'm at a bit of an impasse. I have an almost 10 year old DZ Chen, he'll be ten towards the end of this year, and I kind of want to get him redone as a sort of anniversary thing. But, the version of Chen I have is the limited Asura version with the special faceup with face and body tattoo. I really don't want to lose the tattoos because at this point they're a part of him, but not sure if any faceup artist would be willing to re-create it
