1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Dollzone Discussion ~ 60 and 70cm ~ Part VIII

Aug 1, 2018

    1. LOL! No, it's not your imagination, Girrl. The end of April seems to be their favorite time to discontinue dolls.

Jeez! I don't get it, either. Dollzone use to have a stable of gorgeous 70cm boys! Now there's only two left! Maybe they are getting ready to introduce some new hot resin boys. :drool (I can dream, can't I?)

    2. I wonder how their sales actually break down, what sizes they actually sell the most of, since they seem to be shrinking the size of SD line (literally! the girls are all in the 50cm range and now the guys are all in the 60cm range) It's good for my finances, since 60cm and 70cm are my height thresholds for girls and guys respectively, but a little sad because I've always loved DZ bodies

    3. @Girrl I had a moment of excited panic reading your post as I saw 50cm and guys first before the entire text registered in my brain. For 2 seconds I was all, "OMG! When did DZ release a 50cm boy?!? Why did I not know this?!?" Then I read the rest of the post was all disappointed.

    4. You never know, Iron_Dog, since Dollzone has done away with their 70cm boys, they may have plans to do smaller 50cm boys. Who knows? Dollzone is so unpredictable! *_*

I do like their 68cm body, however. I'd like to see some new head-sculpts for that body. :thumbup

    5. True @Rabbit-moon One never knows what doll companies will decide to try. I'm not looking for anyone new at the moment but that's not stopped me from acquiring dolls (much to my wallet's dismay).

    6. Hey guys! Sorry to be a pain but I was just wondering if any of you lovelies had a Robin you could pop on some smaller necks? Absolutely LOVE him but I have nothing else in the collection that could handle a 71CM! (and a couple of places are still allowing orders for him before the discontinue!)
Ideally it'd be the B60-005 but I have the fears about the gaping neck chasm...

    7. I did see the notice. I think you could be nto something about this being their "spring cleaning" time. Doll Chateau seems to work in a similar fashion.

    8. It might be. I remember back when I got my two in 2011-2013 (I was out of the hobby for about 8 years) and they discontinued basically all of their 60-70cm dolls about this time of year with very short notice to move to the thinner and curvier body types (back when their flower-head dolls were just coming out, if that helps). I panic bought my girl's body even though I couldn't afford it at the time. That might be why they do that, to get those panic purchases.

    9. Ahhhh yesterday I finally changed Azrael out of the clothing he'd been wearing for months and into something for seasonally appropriate. I need to make some time this weekend to take some photos of him. It's been so long. :aheartbea

Looking forward to seeing him in his new outfit! :thumbup

    11. I can't wait to see him too! I really need to take pics again of my dolls, especially my SD Dollzones Like Emily, Jazz, Sam, Kass.... I need to take the doll setup apart anyway and split it into two spaces as I am out of room!

    12. I've had a very weird and chaotic past 7-8 months and I've had zero inspiration to do anything doll related, but it's finally coming back properly (I hope), now that everything has settled somewhat. (It's still chaotic, but in a manageable sort of way?)
Changing Az into a new outfit has reminded me how badly he needs his elbows sueded. Even after seven years his arms still love flailing about!

    13. I'm going through a similar phase myself and it feels like I'm never going to get inspiration again, but reading your post was very helpful in re-convincing myself that it's just a phase. Cheers to you and Azrael!

    14. I love seeing Azrael, maybe he will want to share his new outfit soon :aangel:

A little spam, working on my beautiful Stag's look. Designing his torc and cuffs soon, and likely a long kilt.
please let me know if i should spoiler or if his glorious tresses works, i never know when i should.

    15. he's gorgeous! and the long tresses work for me. I love seeing photos in the thread, it's just a wall of text otherwise and photos are good "landmarks" for finding specific posts later (at least for me, I'm always like it was on the page with the picture of the doll with [X] X in this case being that you're using a dream valley body to hybrid and the proportions look really good)
