1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. 1. i wanted to share, that i've found my Isaac finally after 2.5 years! thanks to @IzabethS to sharing the posting or i might not have seen him. it took us a while to get sorted and delivered, and now i need to clean him up a bit to make a new faceup. He had a little mishap in shipping and has a scratch on his head now, but nothing i cannot fix. i'm so happy to have him home :chibi i hope i can properly get him fixed up for pictures soon. i will not lose faith in the second hand market after this :kitty2 maybe i can find some of his fullset too.

    2. I am so glad you snagged him and received him! Iโ€™m sorry to hear about the scratch, but you might be able to boil it out, or sand it smooth in the worst case scenario!
Iโ€™m also happy I could help you find him, I love helping people get connected to their grail dollies!

    5. Izabeth is my special doll angel for certain :aangel:
i think i will repaint the mechanical arm as well, i need more iron/rust red on it. i've my work cut out for me on getting the body to behave as he has a very kicky leg going on. my other B70-004 does the same thing though, more wire please

i'm so over the moon, the story goes back so far, where we thought i had him on order and it fell through with the dealer being unable to get him in time, then me missing the last known one in stock, which was in pink skin by a single day and entire globe away. so i'm glad to have him in the white to paint him as pigment-less, he will be quite the specter eventually. :celebrate
thanks for sharing in my joy today <3 <3 <3

    6. Finding a grail is always a delight and I think I can confidentially say that even though he's not our grail, we're sharing in your joy at being able to bring him home.

From personal experience, it's such a thrill to be able to help someone get a doll they've been pining for and had not thought they'd be able to get. I did that for a friend when she was looking for a specific Angelheim boy. Like @Grimalkin, my friend missed getting the last one in stock at a dealer by a day and Angelheim had already closed without warning so she thought he was lost to her forever since Angelheim was never a big/popular company to start with. I spotted one in the MP literal years later and threw the link at her. She immediately bought him (with the default face-up no less!) and was overjoyed to finally have him.

    8. I am a dolly enabler. I can't help it. I could try not to but I know I'd fail. I've told friends NOT to tell me what their grail is unless they really, really want it because I will keep an eye peeled for it and I will absolutely let them know should I see it. They're still not sure if that makes me evil or awesome. Maybe evilly awesome?

    9. @Grimalkin - Aww, what great news, congratulations! I can't wait to see him! :D I really loved the concept for Isaac.

LOL! :XD: Iron_Dog, maybe that makes you awesomely evil. ;)

    11. I should point out that I'm a victim of my own dolly finding ability. I stumble over dolls I've really wanted when they were first released but couldn't afford at the time but now can. Then it becomes a war between my wallet and my heart. My wallet is beaten into submission with embarrassing frequency. But it is hard to argue against when the doll in question is rarely seen 2nd hand.

The last couple of purchases I've made are definitely that. I've bought a Vita Magica Lusin boy that is literally the last one of the line that had been discontinued in 2019 (he's on his way home to me now!), a Lume Doll Light Zero, a Soom Vesuvia on the Poison Kiss body.... My latest find is an old DZ sculpt that I'd completely forgotten about but now that I've seen him again *heavy sigh*. I absolutely 1,000% should not buy (or even think of buying) him as I just finished the layaway on the Vita Magica boy and I have no character for this gorgeous DZ boy. But I do love me some old DZ sculpts pretty damn hard.

This resin addiction may be getting a little out of hand.

    12. Ooh which sculpt did you stumble across? ;)

    13. He is an Elf Quinn in tan limited to 30 so not an easy find at all. I'm expecting someone to snap up his gorgeous self before I can talk myself into buying him. If I was still working I'd likely be easier to convince/rationalize but I have to be more money conscious right now. It's completely besides the point that I could easily afford him if I simply used money in general savings. One of my other Doll Rules is that I use money I've specifically saved for dolls/doll things to fund this addiction and that other money is not that.

But I really want to bring him home. If I do that though, then I'll need to find him his partner because I can't have unpaired dolls in-house. I mean, that could lead to my finally acquiring a Dollshe Saint that I've hungered for forever.... He would make doll #72 in my collection if I fell to the weakness.

    14. what's this "if"? Sounds like the plans are already made to me ;)

    15. And I thought my collection cracking 20+ was large

    16. According to my (borderline OCD) excel spreadsheet, I'm up to 58 :o in fairness (to my own shock at the number, mostly), even floating heads, little accessory creatures, and dolls I'm still waiting on are included on that sheet

      • x 1
    17. ...I'm not counting the floating heads or incoming dolls. I uh...hmm...might be well over 30. Oh dear. So much for Azrael being my one and only!

    18. I'm unsure of how I ended up with 71 dolls. I mean, obviously I bought them but I never thought/intended to have a collection this size. It just happened *shifty eyes*. That count doesn't include the 2 Dollshe Hound heads I have. They came with Akusuo when I bought him (OE, SA & IM full heads not just face plates, all with stunning face-ups). Finding bodies for those 2 heads will be an exercise in frustration as they're in honey mango oriental resin and about the only thing that'll match is honey mango oriental resin which Dollshe is no longer casting *sighs*.

@Girrl You're not really helping here. Thank you?

I am trying to be good. Really. I'm horribly weak but I am trying. Mostly. Sort of. In a half-assed kinda way.

    19. @Quiet and Insane & @Rabbit-moon thanks for the cheers  i am so excited

@Girrl - your spreadsheet comment cracked me up, i do the same thing (sooo many tabs)...
besides numbers & origin, like: what's that neck measurement again? what size wig does that guy wear? will those outfits fit so&so? even started trying to log the wigs & clothes :doh since i realized i'd lost track if some wigs were heat resistant and i don't want to melt them, and also - where did that shirt come from i want another colour... etc. etc. etc. :sweat it's pathological.

@Iron_Dog - you can be my dolly enabler anytime :kitty2 i'll return the favour, though - that tan DZ is really nice :whee:
seriously though, i'm weak for the resin too. i never thought i'd be where i'm at with this hobby either, though thankfully i've been super lucky with good deals.

    20. I keep a list of all my dolls by size that includes when I bought them/they arrived, when they were made (if 2nd hand), their colour and if they were special/limited, eye size, wig size, foot size, who did the face-up (I may not know in the case of 2nd hand dolls, which is a bummer). Additionally, that list has all the cost associated for the doll itself (minus shipping, clothes & shoes) such as how much the doll was, cost of eyes/wig/face-up/mods (if any). I want to add in who has CoA's as well (some of my guys are pre-CoA standard) but haven't gotten around to it yet.

@Grimalkin He is lovely, isn't he. One of the nice DZ tans, too, and not that weird orange spray-tan that they did at one point. I'm a straight up sucker for tan/colour resin with grey being my particular weakness (I think I'm up to 13 grey dolls now). I've also got a soft spot for non-human (but humanoid) dolls and if they're weird/unusual it's usually game over for me.
