DollZone Moment and Anson discussion part 1

I know for sure mine did NOT come with 18 mm eyes. I wish now I had measured them but I think they may be 14 mm eyes and if not 16mm at the most. They are a light brownish pink colour with the pupil a slightly darker version of that and no black. I just took her head top off to look again and they DO look like 14mm but could be the 16. Probably are if yours are the 18mm. I think 18 would be too big for my taste.

 

Hehe, they are indeed quite large. ^_~
I was trying to convince myself that they were 16mm at the time, and that is actually why I ordered 16mm's when I got new eyes for them. I own mostly 14mm and 12mm, so they looked really big! It works out though, as I am using the blue ones in my SD16 Kira right now. Lol.

Anyone have any lovely new photos of these guys? ^__^

i don't have any photos of aphelion, but he came with 16s, though he has 14s in now. i believe it was same with the anson (though i sold off her head so i can't check )

i still wistfully hope that dollzone will release more plants, though i've told myself i can't get any new dolls for the rest of the year after splurging on a couple of expensive ones ^^;;;;

 

I still have not posted pictures of my painted and dressed Anson. I will soon and now that summer is almost here I can get her outside for a photo shoot in the plants. That will be nicer than indoors. Still a little early to plant flowers yet. I am really happy with my girl. I spent quite a lot of time on her and I still don't have her petal arms painted yet. Remember she came with human rms by mistake and I really like them. Maybe in the fall I will do the petal arms. Summer is so short I hate to waste my time indoors painting when I could enjoy the outdoors.

 

I finally got around to attempting to take some low light photos of my Anson tonight. I thought I would share the best one since I haven't posted any pics of her so far. I may have finally found eyes for her, too, so hopefully these will be her last eyeless shots!

 

She is very cool with the glow in the dark Annarchy!

My Anson and Moment are still in pieces, mostly sealed. My goal is to finish them this summer. :P

Seens The Post Have Some Time Apart I Thought It Be Ok To Post Again. Hana Shonen Came Home Today & It Looks like Nae (Dollzone Do) Has A Big Brother. Mizu & Kaji Have Adopted Him As There Son & Made Him Part Of There Family. He Blew My Mind When I Opened Him. He Is More Awesome Then I Expected.

gailboiozz - Moment looks fantastic. Don't you love him. He seems so small compared to your two other boys. I have Anson and her body isn't that big but with the head and arms they do look so much bigger. This means your two others must be pretty big. I was amazed at how wonderful these flower dolls were. The resin is so silky smooth and the seams have been removed. Of course after your spray them with MSC they aren't as smooth but they are even nice unpainted. It took me quite awhile to paint mine as I was nervous painting a doll that looked wonderful blank plus I knew it would be a lot of work.

Yes, I know those ears fall out easily. Maybe we could put stronger magnets in but also they could break easier if they don't fall out if you knocked the ear by accident. They are a very delicate doll for sure.

 

I Wanted To Try Some Clothes On Hana Shonen (DZ Moment) But After Re-Stringing Him I Am Just Gana Leave Him Like That Cause Its A Pain To Put Them Arms Back Together. Plus It Scares Me That They Might Break. So For Now He Can Be A Little Punkish.

 

Are you going to paint him? How was it getting the arms on? Mine came with human arms on by mistake and they sent the flower arms later so there they sit waiting for me to paint them to match the doll. I am not looking forward to stringing them on. I have never done it with regular arms and these arms are scary looking. I would die if I broke them. The head scares me. I took her to my Doll Club meeting for show and tell and I was terrified something would happen. I took the head off and put it into the box it came in for shipping. Taking these dolls out of the house is a real pain. They are just so fragile. Gorgeous though.
