DollZone Moment and Anson discussion part 1

Oct 14, 2011

    1. That is exactly how I would feel. That is why the human arms are still on. They also look really good plus I gave her a manicure and pedicure and if I might say so myself I did a great job. My first time with a French manicure and it looks fabulous. I went slow and used small brushes so it looked great. It really wasn't hard. I really need to get pictures here. It just takes time because you have to post them to Flickr first plus I am usually on my iPad. I don't think you can do it from the iPad. Never tried.

    2. Wow, This Thread Kind Of Died Down. Hows Everyone? I Still Havent Picked One Concept For Hana Shonen So He Is Still Waiting To Get Painted.

    3. Hehe, it seems to have bursts of activity.

I couldn't sleep the other night and I had a great idea for my Anson! I had always had the idea of lace in the back of my head (basically, painting a lace pattern onto the edges of her petals), but I wasn't sure what the whole theme would be, but I think I'm going to make her a tea and crumpets sort of doll. ^_^

Some petals will be lace patterns, like doilies. Some I will paint tea wrappers on or little tea menus. Some will have edges like china patterns. Things like that. I can make her a dress out of vintage napkins (tea stained, of course. ^_~). Add some "sugar" piles here, a dangling "tea drop" bead there, and tea tags and a little silver spoon hanging from her apron. And her name is going to be Darjeeling. I can have her sit in my china hutch. Mwa ha ha. Plotting.

    4. Lady Ravenswood, that sounds very ambitious. I couldn't even imagine doing something like that so I am interested to see what you do. I am a very basic painter. I still haven't posted pictures here yet. Maybe this revival here will get me motivated to move my doll outside for a photo shoot. Of course it is raining today, so will not be today.

    5. Hello everyone :)I finished work on my Moment just now. This is a draft version, but I want to show the result. I hope you enjoy it.

    7. Okami Ido: He is fabulous! transparent! He entirely visible! Wow!

    8. Oh bravo! He's fantastic!!
I love the contrast of the vivid blue and the golden brown of his seed heart. He looks at once like a plant, but also an old anatomical study.
      Neat, neat, neat. ^__^

    9. Miyasaki, Master JuliaS, Lady Ravenswood, thank you :3 I'm glad you liked it!
I am a medical student, and combination of art and anatomy is my passion :aheartbea
