1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

DollZone Moment and Anson discussion part 1

Oct 14, 2011

    1. This Thread Has Died Down, Hows Everyone's Flowers Doing?

    2. Oh, it has been quiet. How is your flower? Is he all dressed now?

Well...my flowers are in a state of stasis at the moment. I got them all reassembled for a group photo of my dolls for the anniversary threads...but then Freya went back in her bin (since she's blank, it keeps her less dusty until I get to her)...and Freyr is waiting patiently sitting on the floor of my doll parlor. Eheh. ^.^"
      So nothing much exciting here.

    3. My boy is almost there! Just needs a faceup and maybe some tweaking here and there.

I look forward to seeing your shades of purple, gaiboiozz! He'll be wonderful!

    4. My Anson is on her way out of my home. It's kind of sad really, because I really like Anson, but she's been just sitting there since I received her. Now I Just have to find a box that is big enough to ship all of her pieces without being TOO big to ship overseas without a huge inflated shipping price! It took me FOREVER to bubble wrap all of her pieces! But I am still so nervous about shipping her...Their petals are so delicate!

I will still enjoy coming and seeing all of your dolls, even after she has finally arrived at her new home!

    5. Abernathy, wonderful paint job, that must have taken forever.

Animethemed, too bad you sold her but if she wasn't be used and loved, then someone else can do that for you and you have made them happy plus you have a few dollars to buy something else. I would be nervous shipping these dolls, especially the head. My head came in two small boxes, the other stuff wrapped really good. My girl is finished but she just sits in a chair becaus I don't want her ahead broken. She actually has human arms and her petal arms are waiting for me to paint which may never happen. I am liking the human arms.

    6. oh my gosh! So much beauty in this thread! I just made it back after a 2 and a half month hiatus after my trusty old computer suddenly crashed and completely gave up the ghost, leaving me without internet access...but what awesome gorgeousness has welcomed me back to this thread. Aernath, that paint job is wonderful! And LadyRavenswood, your work is outstanding!!! it has such an art deco vibe and flair to it.

    7. Oh, aernath! He looks great. I love how vibrant the head is. ^___^

Hehe, packing one of these dolls for shipping would be quite a feat!

Aw, thanks PoeticSoul. Sorry to hear about your computer. Glad to have you back!
(It makes me nervous to hear about your computer because my old computer has been acting funny of late. I hope it holds out! >.<)

    8. Aernath: I love How Is Turning Out.

AnimeThemed: Congratulations On Your Anson Being Shipped, Can't Wait To See What You Do With Her.

PoeticSoul: Sorry To Hear About Your Computer, Happy Your Back.

    10. How very cool to have a mom who's talented. Hana Shonen wears his ornament well.

    11. All of your Ansons are amazing. I wish I could find one for myself too. They're so precious... I missed out my chance when they were being sold. Now I cant even find a second hand one. I'm glad I found this thread, even if I dont have one I am still able to see Anson and Moment and bask in their glorious awesomness.

    13. My Last Post Was A While Back I Thought It Be Ok To Post Again

    14. I haven't posted anything here in forever, but I'm finally done with my Anson. It took 2 years, but she's so worth it. I just finished making her eyes this afternoon, so I only have a quick shot, but I wanted to share. (Though looking at this I see that I've misplaced one of her necklaces. :sigh )

Everyone else posting pics of their flowers has really helped keep me going through this loooong project. :D

    15. Oh! I love the 3-dimensional bumps on her petals. ^___^
      Congratulations on completing her! :sumomo:

    16. Wow, I can see how it took you 2 years to do her. I must check out your Flickr for more pictures. That head is perfect. I love those bumps too and the eyes are so well done. I mean the lashes and the eye balls as well. I can see this isn't just a regular faceup, you are an artist as well. I am so impressed with some of the painting everyone is doing on these dolls. I found my doll a lot of work and it doesn't compare to some of them here.

    17. It's so great to see more dolls getting finished! I can't believe it's been two years. @____@

I finally had a gap in my crazy schedule, so I took the plunge and started working on Dalkey this month. He is turning out to be a really forgiving guinea pig, which is great because I have never used an airbrush before in my life and I really dislike acrylic paint.

I'm slowing accumulating all of the text and imagery that is supposed to be written on his vellum "pages" but I suspect it's going to be a long process. I decided to make a thread in Project Journals. Who knows? Maybe someone else will learn from my airbrush newbie mistakes. ;)

    18. Oh, yay! I'm just in love with your idea for your Moment, so I'm really excited to see him come together. ^__^

    19. Hana Shonen Got New Eyes. He Looks Great & I Love How He Looks. Sorry For The Bad Cellphone Picture
