Thanks for the picture snow! Now I can see that my plan will work! I am going to use the first petal that is attached to the shoulder piece and the human forearm and hands and just leave off the other petals. I do like the petals, but don't have much room for them! We'll see when my moment gets here, I might change my mind. I need him home! All this speculation is driving me crazy!
I made some room for my moment, I am all ready for his arrival! I had to move some items around in my room, but was able to open up a good sized space so he could show off his petals (and more room for more dolls too, he,he).

wow, that purple is lovely! it's also nice to see that the parts will work on other dolls ^^ i did some more work on my boy - his torso is going a lot faster than his head, probably because it's much simpler shapes... but i still have a bit more to do on the lower torso. i've also started on his collar - i decided to go with feathers as i felt lace might be too much near his face. *extra* my ferrets were out, and as usual wanted to know what i was doing.... and yuki decided to give aphelion a kiss right as i snapped a picture - http://4oni.com/angelsdream/aphbod-2.jpg
Snow -Beautiful purple! So vivid! She's going to look fantastic! darkmothflame- He's awesome! I love the feathers!! Put him on a pedestal and he can pass for a marble statue! Amazing!
Snow, you know I love the purple! It looks truly beautiful on those petals with all the decorative elements. Excellent color choice for your lovely girl! darkmothflame, he's looking absolutely outstanding each and every step of the way. And with each photo we see, he looks more and more like a marble statue. Such a fabulous job! Amazing!

Thanks for the love guys Darkmoth, he's wicked now and he's going to be absolutely amazing when he's done, I'm sure Didn't want to double post, so here's an edit with some news and a pic: I now have found both Fairyland event arms for him. One is in NS, so it will be fully blushed to match his head. Aaaaand apparently he really really wants to be pink... But I really disagree X_x I really want it to be more purple. And the color I used was a sort of dark mauve, but I suppose one layer on white skin makes it bright pink of course. I'm glad I started on his headcap, so I can try some things out. I'm going to try and cover it with blue now to make it more purple... Don't really want to start over and waste MSC and pastels. As Darkmothflame already pointed out, he has a lot of surface xD
Excuse the double post, but it's been like 9 hours xD Which makes me realize I've been working an hour longer on him than I thought... either way, he's finished (just finished 20 min ago or so). There's markings on his back and buttocks as well. I might put some detail on the petals, but I'm way too tired right now xD

he looks good snow! isn't it easy to loose track of time while working on them? there's something hypnotic about the sculpt that just sucks you in
Oh Snow!!! He's positively stunning and such a perfect match to his female companion! His coloration is absolutely divine...what an amazing character for your wonderful and unique collection. kurogane, I know the wait is tough...hang in there! He'll be worth it. I went through the same thing...came up with a ton of characters, died a thousand deaths of anticipation, changed names several times. Ah, the angst!
I love what everyone is doing with their dolls! Keep the pics coming- it makes the wait so much easier!
i've been thinking more an more about what i want to do with my anson/renata hybrid when she arrives - part of me would love to get some of the very delicate japanese decorative paper that's in tones of pink and sort of lacquer a spray of cutout cherry blossoms/petals across her body and head (obviously not with real lacquer! it would probably be a mix of white glue and water)
