No, they didn't ring the doorbell! They actually left it at the side door where there is no door bell. I guess he didn't feel like carrying the heavy boxes to the front door. Good thing I was home!!!
I got my Anne today! the package was pretty beat up, funny because the "this side up" side couldnt even sit up, lol. Anne was alright except the magnet in the top part of the head cap came out so I glued it back in. But Yay! my Kyrie is home!!!
The site tells me it is an invalid number. There probably is an error in the number somewhere. Thanks for letting me know that yours was similar though. Makes me feel better
Mine's k***1397272 with actual numbers replacing the stars. I had no problems tracking...let me know he's in transit and left yesterday.
Lex unexpectedly arrived, no tracking notice whatsoever. Just *poof*, and he's here. His first act was to assume rightful ownership of his motorcycle... I can't get over how poseable he is. I can't wait to take pics
See now I'm terrified that my package was stolen or something. ;_; I mean I live in one of the safest neighborhoods and I love my neighbors, but I have to work so much and so far away there is never getting home early to check for stuff. *cries*
I called Volks this morning and left a polite message asking about whether or not Yukinojo had shipped, and leaving my email. I had to be gone for several hours for appointments. When I returned, there was a rather beaten up, huge box propped up gently on my porch. (I'm never home when UPS comes -- I teach 70 miles away -- so they have a habit of leaving things for me.) It's Yukinojo, and he's AWESOME! What a wonderful thing -- it's my sweetheart's birthday, and my first day of spring break ... and now I won't want to do my work! <argh!> I can see Victorian gentleman's gear in his future -- he reminds me of what I imagine Mr. Rochester, from Jane Eyre, might look like. And btw, when I checked my email after I unwrapped Yuki, there was a note with a tracking number.
There is a new post on the Tenshi no Sumika in LA Blog saying all shipping for Dolpa 14 has finished and on their way. And if you wish to know your tracking number you should contact them at [email protected]. http://blog.volksusa.com/
Yeah, I have just recieved my tracking number also and I found out my Hewitt was actually shipped out tuesday but there was a delay due to adverse weather conditions. -_- Sooo, I'm going to get him on monday instead of today....
I also got the tracking numbre ! but since I live out of usa, I think it will take more time to get here *sob*, anyway, I'll be waiting >.<
Volks gave me my tracking number, and informed me that all Canadian orders are being shipped UPS ground. UPS is infamous for charging extremely high brokerage fees on anything shipped UPS ground across the boarder. I once got a parcel delivered by UPS worth $300, and they charged a $180 fee on it. That was over 5 years ago, and have avoided using UPS as a cross-boarder shipper at all costs. I shudder to think what they would charge on a $1200 doll! I highly recommend you read this. It's a CBC article on how to avoid paying brokerage fees. All you have to do is fill out some paperwork, but it can possibly save you from paying hundreds of dollars: http://www.cbc.ca/consumers/market/files/home/courierfees/steps.html Have any Canadians ordered dolls through Volks USA before? If so, did you have to pay a astronomical fee?
Amy IMed me to tell me mine had been shipped out on Thursday, so they'll get here soon enough, I'm sure.
I e-mailed Volks about a tracking # on thursday and still no reply. I wish they hurry up a bit with it. -Kat With my luck I will get the package first and the tracking # 3 days later.
I managed to get my tracking number. There may be some truth to the alphabetical theory, my last name starts with a W and he wasn't shipped until Thursday. (I paid within a couple of days, well before the deadline, so it doesn't make sense for it to be that) Too bad he's apparently been stuck at the same UPS facility in West Sacramento that a friend who lives in Sacramento says her packages always get stuck at and she has to go get them from for the last... Oh, 27 hours. =.=;;; ...I also live two and a half hours southeast of Sacramento. At least when EMS comes in it comes in sensibly. (SFO or LAX, with a stop in Stockton then straight up to here) Maybe they just don't update their tracking after 1pm on Fridays. So, I guess Wednesday for sure. I don't trust UPS to actually get him here by Monday, because 2 1/2 hours is such a long difficult drive. Maybe Tuesday they'll manage it. And if he DOES get stuck there, I'm calling them, telling the idiots to just leave him there, and going to Sacramento to get him from the morons myself 'cause I have Wednesday off. -_-; I hate UPS so much.
I thought UPS only worked Monday through Friday. Anyway, my last name starts with a B and my Hewitt was shipped on Tuesday, and so I guess the theory holds out so far.
strange my last name starts with an S and my doll was shipped on the 28th, a Tuesday. xshinatox-what day was your Hewitt shipped on?
