Uh-oh. Looks like my package got sent to my parents instead of me. T_T

My Mother helped me pay because I couldn't get the money together on time and now Volks is shipping my brats to her. \^o^/
I checked my payment e-mail and, yes, they only asked for a 'Billing Address' not a shipping address.
I'm sure I put a shipping address on the lottery entry though.

Oh well, hopefully Mom will send them down to me, but there goes seeing the new brats by Wednesday.
I don't really have time until this weekend anyway, but still ... I wanted to see them. T_T

At least I have a tracking number to obsess over until Wednesday. *sniffles*

 

03/04 - Got the tracking # and the message that it was coming 03/06.
03/05 - Emailed my boss and told him that I would be late for work waiting for a package - was afraid, from the other comments on this board, that they would just fling it over my gate.
03/06 - 8:34 am tracking says that it made an attempt to deliver to my p.o. box - darn! didnt know it was being sent UPS when I bought this so I used the wrong address! Darn it, get ready for work...
03/06 - 8:40 am check the UPS site again before I head out to work - they're making another delivery attempt today to my home address!
03/06 - 12:30 PM - email my boss to tell him that I'm taking the day off! Who knows when they'll come now?
03/06 - 1:25 PM After skipping bathroom breaks and seeing 3 other UPS trucks whiz by, one stops in front of the house! whooppeee
Driver gets off and delivers a book-sized package!!!!! WWWWhaaaaa????
Driver checks his list and goes back into the truck and finds a much bigger box - its here, finally!!!! My new boys....Alex

 

Yaa... We both get ours tomarrow. I can't until my little Hewitt comes home. I wont get to see him until 6pm when I get home from classes.

I apologize and completely eat my words - Yukinojou showed up a few minutes ago! Maybe Volks put a little doll magic on this shipment...? (Or maybe I need to quit shipping around Christmastime!)

 

OMG I've just gotten my Hewitt!! His outfit is so adorable and faceup is incredible!! He arrive at my house at around 11:30 AM and I was at school knowing he was going to come. So my Mom was there to get him for me ! The whole time when I was at school I was so ecstatic to get home!! I just opened his box a minute ago, and taking pictures of course! My Mom was really excited to see me open the box too. I can just tell I love him already. I hope everyone else's comes home safely!~

PS - The shoes I got with my Hewitt are black but in his brochure picture they look brown. Does anyone else see this?

my status has said in transit since the first time i looked at the page. and there is still no spot at all for estimated delivery day. i wish they updated the scans more often, where is my doll tonight? i want to know!

 

I got my Hewitt too! He's too cute for words. The outfit is wonderful as well.

Oh the shoes I got are black too. I thought they looked a bit brown in the official pics too. I'm not complaining though cause I prefer black. ^_^

 

In what has to be a first for UPS, not only did they actually deliver him today, the box was actually in perfect condition.

Maybe they DID sprinkle some magical doll angel dust on the packages. XD

I hate his default wig. XD EYE-EATER. XD So far he's looked best in Ephram's usual blonde wig and Lukas's short brown W-98... He looks pretty good in Acquire Aqua Blue, though the style of the wig I have totally doesn't work for him. ^_^; I haven't tried Iysa's navy wig yet, and he'd kill me anyway... XD;;;

This faceup has to go, I think. Or maybe just the soul patch. I'd like to mod him to be a little softer, though. I can't wait until I find time to chip out that hot glue and try different eyes in him! He looks so much better IRL. ^^ His hands are HUGE though! @_@ Next to Ephram and Lutz's hands they're giant. Even Lukas' are small in comparison... XD And huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge boat shoes. XD

...Anyone else find it odd that he comes with socks but not underwear? X3

 

I did not get my Yukinojo fullset from the Dollpa, but I got him off Yahoo Japan, but I guess I'll post here anyway. I was wondering if anyone here has any idea how to safely remove his eyes? Mine has been sealed too well. ><

 

I usually remove the head and turn a hairdryer on low into the head for a few seconds to soften the glue up and then dig at it with a butterknife, occasionally poking at the other end with a padded chopstick. Works OK, just makes my hands hurt and tends to loosen eyelashes. ...Then again, Yuki's uppers are so subtle and short and tiny I might not even notice for a while if they fell off. ^_^;

 

Easier way is to mush them from ouside to inside with your fingers. They just pop out effortless (but be careful if you have long nails!)

 

Thanks! That's so true though... his eyelashes are indeed a bit too short. I am planning to change them in fact. LOL.

 

Oh dear I had no idea that they were hot glued in! X_X thanks for the tips on how to work around that, though. Still waiting on mine, might be coming today ^_^

 

OMG I am so annoyed and angry with UPS at this point. My Tohru (Hewitt) has been f**king sitting in a warehouse since he arrived in Phoenix and on the tracking it says there is a routing error. I sent them an email yesterday telling them that at this point I just want to pick up my package. After the THIRD rescheduled delivery, my husband called them only to find out that not only is my name incorrect, but they have the WRONG zip code. We gave them all the correct info only to be told that unless Volks contacts them and corrects the problem, I can't have my package. They won't even let me pick him up. WTH???? I paid for him, and now I am being told that I can't have him.

I rarely use UPS because of the maybe dozen times that I have, over half of the packages have been damaged (they even admitted to driving over 2 of my packages), they have been sent to the wrong address, or they simply sent the package back without letting me know there is a problem.

Why didn't they contact Volks by this time to try and fix this? I am sitting here crying because I am so worried about what condition my doll is in at this point. What do I do if he is completely destroyed? Can I even get a new one if he is destroyed?

Sorry for the rant -_- I am feeling very powerless atm.

 

Don't worry, Volks is VERY good about replacing dolls that have been damaged in the mail. If he does come to you damaged, take pictures and immediately contact Volks by email or phone.

I dislike UPS too, in the past I had the same problem getting my package when the zip was incorrect. :\ The best thing for you to do is to call Volks LA or email them if you haven't already so they can fix the problem quickly. Keeping my fingers crossed that your boy arrives safe!
