Does anyone know if they have stated the order #'s for the people for the final free gifts (the 100-150, for free wigs, and eyes).

 

Thank you, everyone, for your concern. I feel bad now, because about half of that was my own damn fault.

As for the last gift set, they're still displaying the "Closing soon!" message. Maybe they're busy sending everything out?

 

It's down again... I was supposed to order today. ;_; I'm a nervous wreck by the time I get to order...

Has anyone managed to get a light tan Finn?

I tried to contact them several times by email and from the website about the status of my order and did not get a response. I was #17 in the Finn order. I ordered early july 3rd.
Yesterday (35+ days after I ordered/paid) I got an email (not in reply to any of my inquiries) that said:
"Well, the good news is that your doll will be able to ship out by this week. However, there is some slight problem and I would wish to seek your decision before finishing the last step of your order process. And that is, for light tan, we would need customer to either opt also for body blushing or would you prefer to change your order to a normal skin tone doll?"

so...... if they knew this in advance why didn't they note that blushing was required for tan dolls on the order form? or they could have notified me 35 days ago after they rec'd my order. Plus, there have been some tan bodies (body only) posted here on DoA so I know they can (or did at one time) do them without blushing. Now I wonder if there is a production problem with their tan resin or if in the rush to get out the recent flood of orders all quality control is gone?

If I had known 35+ days ago that not only my order would be in limbo all that time, but that I would later be asked to pay an additional $50 or change my order entirely I probably would have either not ordered or made another resin selection.
I think if a company is going to offer a tan doll they should make sure they can make it with consistent color.
This is all very frustrating - not sure what I'll do. I'm really not interested in paying for body blushing to cover up problems.

 

I agree about just covering problems. I think I would ask them why it needs to be blushed. I would also tell them that it should have stated that when you ordered them. If they don't give you a good reason for both and you don't want a normal skin doll, I would ask for my money back.

 

Oh no! I also ordered a light tan Fin. I haven't received any emails about her yet, but that could be because I am order #3328. I hope it is not the case that we can not get the light tan body without blushing. This would have been my first tan girl and I was looking so forward to her arrival.

 

i would beware of using body blushing to make a doll look right- my ark 's body blushing is very fragile and not long for this world, and i am sorry i ordered it (blushing, not ark).

 

I've just ordered my Fin (Tuesday, actually) and I'm secretly hoping that it takes one month as opposed to two. My due date is late October/Early November and I don't want two babies at once! Hopefully I can have everything done before hand, because I certainly won't have time after.

Does anyone know what kind of shoes these girls can wear?

Can somebody confirm the eye size of Fin for me.
I know somebody said 14mm, but i want to know if 16mm fits too.
Pictures to compare would be great too.

Wow, thats really odd/ scary about the Tan dolls! And that it took them so long to let you know it was going to be an issue. They already charged more for the tan, if body blushing was required, they should have included that in the extra charge for tan.

I also would like to see a picture of a Fin next to a Normal SKin CP girl, and I also would not mind seeing a CP head on her body (I'm debating about ordering a second girl for her body)

 

i sent a message to domuya last night, re being in the second group, and not having heard from them, but i have not heard back yet. my # is 3261..

On this page, they ask us not to send emails "Please do not write to us about eligibility of "Early Bird" Gifts Set. " They repeat this again later regarding the second group - "We will be contacting all eligible customer on their preference within 1-5 days, after email had sent out, we will update this page again, please do not write to us yet if you do not received an email. "

So it might be worth while to hold off writing for just a bit. They also ask that you use the "contact us form" on their website, not direct email. Not sure which people have been using.
I'm way over the number for group 2 so waiting to see when they get around to group 3.

 

It seems they have not updated that page since before the server went down.

I'm also way over the number for group 2, but I was hoping I might make it in on group 3, since I've heard of a lot of people ordering items besides Fin. I'm hoping they will update that page at some point!

 

Yeah. I suspect the backlog of manual work and tracking from the outage that needs to be entered on the new server is keeping them quite busy right now.
From the number of notices, it sounds like they are busy shipping out completed orders right now as their priority(and for those getting the orders, I'm sure they appreciate this) then they should be able to move onto the next groups.

exactly why I find that an unacceptable solution (in addition to the added cost). I do all my own faceups and customization and I almost never do any body blushing unless I'm trying to blend a neck color for mismatched brands.
I'd just rather have a plain body.
