the new address is my work address, I got to thinking that my mailbox at home was kind of isolated at the end of a country drive about 1/4 mile from the house. I can just see the mailman leaving this big old honking doll box on the ground under it :P hopefully if it goes to the original address they will leave a note to pick it up at the PO, and at work the mailman will bring in packages just so we will feed him cookies

 

I just received notice that my Fin has just been shipped today. I was in the second batch order #3233. If you are in the second section rest assured that yours will be shipped soon too.

I rec'd an email this morning that said my tan Fin is shipping tomorrow, so it looks like batch 3 came out fine

 

thanks pansey rocker! i tried the email addy, and got a response overnight. candy said they would process my order after i sent the face up $ for the free head. hopefully all will come out ok! thanks!

 

I'm so glad to hear things are working out now! Its great that more dolls are shipping. I'm anxious to get my girl!

I do wish they would post information about the third early birds group. There is a small chance I made it into that group, but I have a feeling I won't know until I get my package.

 

I really want a Fin, but I can't decide which color I want. I emailed them about the tan skin, because knowing that it won't scrub off is very important to me.:

And the package is horrible!!!! I didn't take pics, but the box was very thin, and the doll was inside her sack and a few bubble wrap around her hands and face, nothing else to protect her. She has no damage, but when I saw the box I feared the worst...

I've already commented in the gallery thread, but I still think she is so pretty! I had been thinking that I would sand the bridge of her nose a little... But now I'm seriously debating that.

Just curious: There has been some toss up between 14mm eyes and 16mm eyes, what size has she got in now?

 

She came with 14 mm in her head, the green ones in the pics.

I've put 18 mm in her and they look fine. I think anything between 14 and 16 mm would suit her fine.

I have to take a new pic later, because she's wearing 12 mm ED right now and they look great XD (well, great for me at least)

 

Cybernary, your girl is so pretty! I keep going back and forth debating if I want to order a second Fin, and after seeing your pictures, I want to order another!

I have to make up my mind soon!

 

So, I have never ordered from Domuya, but I've looked through some arrival pictures, and now I'm just baffled at how they have been sending Fin's out! All the pictures I saw, Domuya dolls arrived packed in HARD carry cases! Maybe thats part of why we are getting her at such a discount. They are not using those cases anymore. Does anyone know?

 

the hard cases are only for limited dolls.
My Mike came in that, but Motoko is a NS Fay and she came in the cardboard box discribed by all people here.
So this way of packing is pretty standard for Domuya.

 

Did anyone ever find out what the normal legs are like or did everyone order the model doll kit too?
I like the skinny leg but did'nt order the leg kit - are the normal legs like tree trunks?

 

That makes sense, only I did not know people's Fins were arriving in boxes. I was under the impression the dolls arrived in "shipper" boxes, and they were inside, just in a satin bag. Not another interior box. The idea of a doll shipping lose in a shipper makes me nervous

 

The normal legs are gorgeous and slim. I think there have been a few pictures of them here and there; on page 26 of this thread there's one.

I didn't order the Supermodel Kit, so I can't compare, but I think they're just longer.

Anyway, rest assured that they are tree trunky only like slender white birches.

 

I love the Tree reference. My girl's name will be Willow once she arrives. So far all my girls are named after Flowers, but I wanted a girl named after a tree.

I did order the supermodel kit. I don't know that the legs are any slimmer, I think they are just longer, and come with a different pair of feet.

I didn't really care for the default faceup on the website pics, but in your pic it is very pretty and delicate. (if that's the default on yours?)

 

did want to change her eyebrows. Once I start I'm not smart enough to stop so I did a bit more than just her eyebrows Had to keep them the same shape as there was a hint of a stain of the original paint that I couldn't get off. But, I'm really enjoying her. Thanks everyone for all the help I got here with info on her!

Omigosh she's stunning! You must have touched up her lips a little too? They look more detailed than I have seen on other dolls. I thought the default eyebrows were a little "thin" in spots--yours are perfect!
