Domuya Secret Project Nightmare Discussion

I am getting anxious.

It is almost April. I would think we'd have at least heard an excuse as to why the delay by now...

 

I'm not too worried, I think they're just running a bit behind on their orders, my All Stars Package only shipped a week ago, and there are several people still waiting for theirs to ship.

If I had to guess they'll get all (or most) of those out of the way before they start on the Nightmare. It's also possible that they're taking everyones comments on board and doing a few last minute alterations?

I must admit though it'd be nice to see an update!

Does anyone know if it is on topic or not?

 

If you read the preceding discussion, the conclusions was it is not on topic as a doll on its own, but it is an accessory for your doll, so can be discussed in terms of your doll and pictured with your doll.

 

I emailed Domuya and haven't heard back from them. This was about a week ago. So I contacted dollpeddlar, who is a distributor of Domuya, yesterday... and they said they have been trying to get in contact with them and have not been able to get a reply, and they are now beginning to get frustrated. This is pretty unsettling news if you ask me, since those who are in the middle of monetary transactions as well as those in business contracts with the company are unable to contact them reliably....

 

Heard back from them this morning:

[FONT=Calibri, Verdana, Helvetica, Arial] Nightmare will start production in May and when we get the 1st piece, we will upload pictures of the final piece.[/FONT]

Whooo thank goodness. That is a long time for those of you who have paid! I am just waiting for the Companion!

Domuya's site goes down every once in a while, they're not necessarily updating it. : /

 

Seems that the first Nightmares will be released soon.
Apart for an apology regarding the server problems, they also have updated with the following:

That's a lot of relief!

 

I just saw pictures of the Nightmares. They look great in there armor but speaking as a horseperson the naked mod could be better.

There conformation is off, the backs to long, the neck thin, with no arch, and no main and the head is on the boxy side and makes the horse look like he’s grimacing.

I was really hoping to find a well done BJ horse for my girl, an Arabian or an Andalusian would have been perfect. I want to make her a sidesaddle and riding habit. But for the price I think I’ll keep looking for another horse.

 

This horse is amazing! I hope they still come out with him. He would work so well with a repaint for my paladin

 

Of course he is being released, people are waiting for him having already ordered. He was limited though. They are coming out with a different version that will not be limited called the Companion. With exchangeable heads and most likely a different body type.
