  2. Dollshe Craft and all dolls created by Dollshe, including any dolls created under his new or future companies, including Club Coco BJD are now banned from Den of Angels. Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD. This ban does not apply to other company dolls cast by Dollshe as part of a casting agreement between him and the actual sculpt or company and those dolls may still be discussed on the forum.     1. Rawr. I guess that is why I do not preorder dolls. I am patiently waiting for the Companion version. But impatiently waiting for news for everyone else
       
    2. Yeah, that's why when I first entered this thread I was asking if he was even still being released. They obviously haven't been on track with their updates/deadlines and from the outsiders point of view that looked more like a shady "promise" of a product rather than an actual "pre-order." It's such a complex and exciting project, it'll be amazing when it's actually done! :D

    7. Latest news as of yesterday:

      Latest news on “Nightmare”: First of all, we are really sorry on the multiple delays. The latest delay was due to: The packaging. The final packaging we have received from our manufacturer back in May 2010, were too fragile and there are too much difference from the sample we have received. “Nightmare” weighing at almost 10KG with the packaging and dimension measuring at 80cmX65cmX35cm, we are very worried on breakage during delivery. Even though replacement part is always available, but re-shipping cost will be too expensive and it is both time and labor consuming.

      However, all nightmares have been produced. We are currently waiting for the boxes to arrive and all nightmares order will be shipped together. We seek your kind patience in this and be assured that we are expediting on the packaging issues.

      Bonus news: To achieve perfection, we are using a real horse’s hair for our nightmare’s tail. We are sorry for the long update, but we feel that we need to let the proud owners of “Nightmare” know what is delaying their orders.

      So, apparently the horsies are all done, they just need the proper shipping boxes. Also, real horse hair? Sweet! ... unless you have allergies, then maybe not so sweet?

      Also... that's going to be one sore mail delivery person! :O 10kg?? X_X lol
       
    8. Wow. They, um, probably should have announced earlier that they would be using real horse hair for the tails, or made it something people could opt out of. I know we have vegans on this forum, and other people who (while not vegan) probably wouldn't be comfortable with the idea of using real horse hair. Still, it's good to hear that the horses are cast and ready, and that the hold-up is on the shipping end of things, rather than the production one.
       
    9. Real horse hair won't be too much of a problem for those with allergies since (usually) it's cleaned and treated before used for any commercial reason (bow strings for violins for example.) The vegans on the other hand may not be happy at all.

      It looks like you can still order him too so I guess they haven't reached their 66 number cutoff just yet. It mentions that the black is the special limited color--so I wonder if the "companion" version will be some other color??

    12. Perhaps people with moral objections to the use of real horse hair could email the company and ask if they'd be willing to use synthetic for their personal copy.

      I'm not sure how I, personally would feel about it. (I'm not likely to ever have a Nightmare, after all. Maybe the Companion one day, but a horse is low on the list of 'necessary bjds' for me right now.) I suppose I'd want the synthetic more for the texture. :x
       
    13. Asked them about updating the Nightmare pictures with the finished product and got this reply:

      As shipping date is expected on the 1st week to 2nd week of July (nightmare are all ready, waiting for boxes now), I believe we will be able to snap some pictures before we ship them. It is just that my web administrator will be busy these few days and we are trying to help as much as we can.

      But yes! I believe new pictures will be up!’


      So not long until shipping it seems!

    16. I am getting a little tired of their promises. If it doesn't come soon I will be on vacation.
       
    17. If it doesn't come soon I may just give up and ask for a refund as they don't seem capable of keeping their promises! I love the sculpt, but this is really just getting silly now :sweat The original listed shipping date was March for goodness sakes!

      They've given 3-4 different shipping dates to DOA members over the course of the 4 month wait and not a single one has been honoured. For a professional company like Domuya I find it really disappointing, especially as their updating has been so poor we've had to keep messaging them for information!
       
    18. I was just talking about this with someone the other day, I completely agree with Arioch. This is ridiculous. On top of their inability to keep a shipping date, as well as their lack of updates, they haven't answered any of my messages to them, I only find my information second hand from other DoA members. This is irresponsible and frustrating. And what are they doing to make up for it? Nothing as far as I can tell. They need to take responsibility for their inaction. My husband ordered his horse back in February, now it is July and he still has nothing to show for such a large amount of money spent. That is 5 months, nearly half a year! I can tell you, this is our first time ordering a doll from Domuya, and likely the last as well unless they do some really big kissing up.
       
    19. That's exactly what I mean Affinite I was the very first to order a Nightmare, I was told so when I messaged Domuya with questions, and so much delay for that much money is ridiculous. I wouldn't be anywhere near as aggravated, if they'd just keep us up-to-date and keep their (repeatedly broken) promises. I'm giving them another 5-7 days I think, then messaging about a refund. As much as I want this doll, it's just becoming not worth the hassle, I'm almost certain at this point that when it arrives I'm going to be truly underwhelmed just because of the length of time this has taken!
       
    20. I actually got this positive reply on an e-mail I sent them today! :)

      I was also an early buyer although I did not qualify for the priority orders (reserved for those who had bought the new flexi body for x-mas, I think).

      It seems there is a possibility that our waiting is coming to an end! ^_^
