Ducan's top is black in person. I'm not sure what happens when you photograph it under artificial lights. I've been talking to some photographers...in our group, and it just must be a colour shift that happens under artificial light.
could be that - depending on the types of dyes used in the fabric, the material and whatnot. If left out in the sun to bleach for a bit it'll probably lighten more to that colour is my guess

congrats GB he's a nice doll. If you don't use the flash and take pictures in natural light, his face up will come out much nicer I find extra wig? wow! I hope mine comes with one XD
Well, the two pictures that are yellowish are WITHOUT the flash. Unfortunately, after our "minor tiff" with the post office (the mailman tried to deliver to the wrong house, left delivery notification at the wrong house, and then filled out the delivery notice WRONG so I wasn't allowed to PICK UP the box at the post office), it was dark. The lighting in our house is definitely NOT great, so after trying different lamps (and different combos of lamps/overhead lights), I just did two pictures WITH flash and two without. In natural daylight, my camera takes really good doll pictures. But I find dollfies to be hard to photograph without actual daylight. :/
yeah generally if you're doing night time pics you'll want a tripod so you can use a slwoer shutter if your light sourcing isn't great. I'm going to be purchasing a soft light box and lamps so I can take some nice clear pics without flash, but you need some pretty bright lights if you're only using one or two from a fair distance (i.e. regular household ceiling lights) and even then they'll be yellowish. there are also filters you can use but generally will need a bit more light as well...
Yup. Since the walls of the house aren't white (they're sort of a tan-ish color), it seems that any overhead lighting picks up as YELLOW without a flash, too!). :/ Usually, I'll just photoshop the pictures to get a good color balance, but I was in a hurry to get some photos of Lucien!
rillystar, if you ordered on the 26th, 27th, or 28th of September (according to the website), you'll get a free random wig. I guess it was a special for Homme Ducan, Kirill, and Ivan.

I think the wig I got was the DW-04, but in black. It's the wig on Dream of Doll that's closest in style to the one we got, so I think it's that one. Rillystar: tell me what wig you get when your ducan comes in! I'm curious!
dunno yet, he's still somewhere in the airport I guess. I'll get him early next week I'm guessing. Hopfully if it's a DW wig I can nab an 06 or something XD
