DoT Homme Ducan Discussion

I find that I like this version too, rather than the limited.

And on an odd side note, a friend of mine's boyfriend looks almost EXACTLY like this doll.

I'm in love with Duncan and he's going to be my first doll. I should really change my sig about that then.

Granted until I order him and he's in my arms, I have my life size fully functional El.

My boyfriend looks like a Normal Skin El with blonde hair and blue eyes. It's creepy.

Well yeah. Except my El complains a lot. Sometimes I wish I could shove him in a box.

But he's so hot and so El-like , so I love him. He doesn't believe me that he look like El. He really couldn't care less about it.

... Now all I need to find is a hot guy that looks like a Shiwoo or a Yder. I've already had my boyfriend in sexual poses with a half naked cat boy. Teh cat boy asked if he was single.

 

Hey, I just spotted this handsome beauty and as I was going to buy a DOC from D.O.D, I think I will up my dreams and go for a larger boy.

That way when I finally get my Bernard, the other won't be so small. X3 He's just PERFECT! Now to save my next few paychecks to get him home with make-up, dress, and the whole customs fee saved to the side too.

He'll be my first for ordering from DOD. I don't have a creditcard, so what would you guys suggest? The bank transfer? I'm so new at this.

i dont know if you could link it to canadian bank account, but if you could i think you could send by paypal balance^^.

 

PayPal works fine with DoD. As for Canada customs, DoD automatically marks down. The most you'll pay for customs is about $30. They dinged my first purchase I think because they didn't know what it was (plus at the time I was importing goods like a mad rabbit and they were stopping almost all my packages). I had to wait an extra 2 weeks to get a proof of value letter and then email DoD (took 2 days) to get an updated invoice so they didn't get in trouble and then fax that to customs.

Since then all my DoD dolls have come through without a hitch or customs fees.

They generally mark down to $150. Otherwise just get a friend over the border, mail it to them and have them drive it up XD (living in Vancouver is convenient that way with a lot of friends just over the border)

Definitely do Paypal! It's safe and involves a whole lot less paperwork

 

And I thought I loved the Elf Ducan.. SO glad that I'll actually have a chance on getting some sort of Ducan!

oops he was out again. He tends to sell out every day but then DoD wil restock him. I'm thinking this is one way they're trying to keep up with the orders since it's the first time a doll is being sold with an outfit option. looks like it's popular so they might do it with all the future releases to XD

 

Maybe they'll make Sha's outfit as an option later? Oh I hope so because I love that outfit more than Duncan's.

I doubt it. That was done by a specific designer (Japanese? or Korean?) and they sold it as a one off.

 

I hope they wont prolong processes and lower the quality because of this. There are talks about this on this forum, weaker resin etc.

For a very popular Doll Company they sure are lacking a Q&A board to make enquiry easier.

 

yeah that's a big beef I have. They take a while for email turn around and have a Q&A board but don't read any of it or answer...I try to spend time on there answering questions I do know the answers to but it's rough going.

I'm not sure about the resin quality but my recent DoT Ducan Elf was great. From what I've heard the resin issues I've seen were from way back earlier in the year when they first started the DoT lines....

I've also seen issues with Luts resin reported as well as other companies as well....seemingly on par. I think that's more a resin batch issue than their overall resin quality, and from waht I've seen they replace any parts there are issues with. However I don't really know for sure since none of my boys and girls have issues...

I think the whole out of stock in stock thing is to help them pace themselves better rather than deal with floods and dry periods....but thats just a hypothesis of mine

 

ya, sort of worried as I'm waiting for Homme Ducan and I have no idea if the payment is accepted. payment paid on sept 30th if im not mistaken ><. Im giving it time until the last week allowed by paypal dispute.

 

Check the DoD site under order status. It should say received if the payment went through. Otherwise fax DoD a copy of the transaction through PayPal (faster than email)

less troublesome than filing a claim and potentially much less confusing for DoD whose English fluency skills are questionable at times lol

 

Oh man. Two more paychecks unless I cut back on my spending habits. $200 every paycheck doesn't seem enough. Maybe next paycheck I'll do the $300.

while most normal BJD costs 3 digits to western countries, it costs us 4 digits here. >< a friend took 5 months to save for his MSD, minus rent, food, and petrol. yup its draining us xp.
