I just noticed his ears. Ducan's ears look like those on vinyl dolls. He looks so incomplete ;___; Now I'm just saving up my pennies everyday for a Ducan. He might be my first big boy. *loves*
I think DoD resculpt the ears from the Camine mould. Homme Ducan's ears might be a modification from the elf head mould or perhaps the other way round. Homme Ducan's ears sure looks like the sanded down version of the elf ears. Hello, fellow resident of the sunny island . Man I'm wondering exactly how long DoD takes to ship all the way to Canada. One of my friends who has two dolls from Luts said her Shiwoo took four weeks to get to her. She was guessing that DoD might take around seven? Anyway. I put another $200 towards my Duncan beucase my rent was upped to $75 because the people buying my food don't know how to not shop for brand names. Plus one of my friends wants $75 by Novmber 3rd. Even though I told him that I'm saving for my boy. So I have over $500 for Duncan now. Now I just need one more paycheck!
oh yeah, actually at first i didn't really like his ears. but after you look at it, and ponder, he's ears are actually quite unique. and its looks cute. haha HOMME DUCAN~
I find his ears hilarious. In an endearing way I suppose, but I prefer my Camine's ears, luckily. I adore his wig though, anyone planning on selling it?
Dead_boy_dark_angel - The time delay is not because of the shipping. They ship quite quickly using EMS and for me, on the west coast of Canada, it genearlly takes less than 4 days after its sent (provided customs doesnt leap in). Its actually faster than from the US. The delay is because they dont actually make the dolls until they are ordered. So the delay is in the manufacturing, assembling, painting, etc. There is so much work done by hand in these dolls that there is almost always a delay. If you dont have makeup or clothes, it will likely be sent much sooner. I'm currently waiting on 6 dolls (gasp, yes 6), 5 of which are waiting for this assembly sending phase. Its not uncommon, but very frustrating. I think I heard that DoD is around a 4-5 week from time of order to time of shipping. There were some delays this summer when it was so hot and humid and they had issues with the resin.
Cute, yes...Unique, yes. But I don't want unique. I was under the impression that Ducan's face scupt was a tender version of Camine, so I'd set it into my plans for future dolls that I would get a Ducan, with an extra Camine head. (Like I'm planning to order T. Shall, and an extra Shall head, to have versatility in photographing.) With those ears, though.... I guess if they stay like that, and it's not just a fluke, I'll just have to break them off and find a way to fix them back on so that they look more like Camine's ears.
oh i see. i think i shall do the impossible and sand it smaller. T.T hmm maybe i should buy a Homme Ducan and a Shall head. haha
He's so awsome I think he will be my next doll, a good chunk of my tax return I think will be going to him, just can't resist.
Sorry if this is a stupid question, but will DOD send us a notice of shipping with tracking number, or anything like that? I've never ordered from DOD before, and the first round of Homme Ducans should be going home soonish, right? Any estimates of how long now? I ordered on the first day, but I know that there was a holiday week in there.
I just got my Shipping notice and tracking number today .... They usually do send a Shipment Confirmation E-Mail, but some times do to spam filters or valume of orders the Shipment Confirmation E-Mails don't make it to your email.... They never sent the person I got my Elf Ducan from a Shipping Confirmation E-Mail. So your best bet is to log into your Dream of Doll account and check the status of your order. If he already shipped out your status will say so, and thier will be a tracking number on your Order page -Anthony

I don't really remember, I think I did order him the day he Sold Out and 1 came back in stock. That's when I purchased my boy, But I don't remember if it was the absolute first day or not -Anthony

I will be checking him and shipping him off to her as soon as he gets here.
