Great, Thanks for looking for me! I really appreciate it, Sue. BTW my Lily was wearing her default wig for awhile before I even got to doing her face-up and she didn't stain. I use Testor's Dullcote rather than MSC and it wasn't a problem.
Ahh, I should have known that the Mr Clean Magic Eraser cleans everything. It's actually called melamine foam (aka formaldehyde-melamine-sodium bisulfite copolymer, according to wikipedia), so look out for that. I do have access to a local equivalent that's imported from Japan; I guess it's time to invest in one. Thanks to all who replied about the wig! Perhaps they changed the dye formula after the first batch? Anyway, I ordered Lily with a faceup so she should be well protected out of the box, but I have a can of MSC on standby just in case. And I'll keep the vinegar soak in mind. hehe, thank you. I Maggie.^^

sadako hasn't had any staining from her wig...she did have a yellowing incident with some gloss and pastel spotting from Testor's...but all fixable she did get dirt and black marks...but the Magic Eraser took it right off!

Really? They do work wonders but I'd fear that they would take up the face up. I've never used one on a doll before so I don't know for sure but I do know that they are REALLY good at taking off tough stains.
yeah, from what i hear, you definitely want to avoid the face-up if you're cleaning a head with one n_n;;
ok I definately need one! Yeah avoid the head but I havent managaed to MSC the rest of Kefri's bod yet so I would like one to remove stains from that, outdoor photoshoots aren't always the cleanest at this time of year. Nobody got their awaited dolls yet? Can't wait to see more lilys. I finally found some boots that will do - with modding - for Kef for riding boots, TT Kianna 'weekend wear' has longish boots that I can add more leather to to make them even longer. They will certainly do tho the toe is a little clumpy.
Woohoo! New wig for Ukyou. I'd say she's nearly complete. Still need to change that faceup she came with. But now she's definately looking more like herself. It's a leekeworld wig.
absolutely LOVE her kimono! I saw fabric just like that at the local quilt shop recently and was thinking about trying my hand at a kimono. Sue - If You haven't already made the pilgrimage out to your local TRU, I am thinking about crafting my own outfits for Lily after browsing though the sewing forums. So you don't need to pick that up for me if you haven't already... New adventure for me and my girls! Soony and Lily....and soon ShuShu too! :O
That wig really suits her Se -Chan lovely colour and style looks nice with her face shape. Sarah - ok no problem. I was gonna go friday so its no biggie
Sue: Haven't gotten mine yet! I'm not expecting her here until mid-April. In other news, I'm going to get my PayPal account set up tomorrow and I'm going to contact LaiDoll to see if I can still get that face up. I really hope this doesn't give my parents bad feedback on eBay!
THE TORTURE!! err... my friend made me an adorable pink fur wig for meryll! and OMG SHE IS SO CUTE @_@ but, when i turned on the camera to take some pictures, it died T__T;;;;
happy_cupcake, why don't they want the face-up? if it's because of the price, i'd totally agree with them. the price they charge is a little outrageous in my opinion. you might want to look into commissioning an artist on DoA, that way you can also get something specific that you want n_n
mendokusai: Nah, it's not the price. It's the fact my parents don't trust PayPal outside of eBay. Not saying I 100% blame them, but I honestly want to do the face up at this point because I don't want it to be my fault if they get bad feedback plus if I turn around and send her off once again, my parents will be confused At this point, I think if I could just get them the good feedback and later get someone else to do the face up/me get the courage to do my own, life will be fine I'd love to see pictures of your Lily with a pink wig! That sounds freaking AWESOME
