Dream Doll 'Lily' from Laidoll - Anyone Recognise Her?

Stray-Wind - Sorry to hear that you and Lily aren't getting along. I found that at first I wasn't too crazy about her, but after doing a good face up and getting the clothes I wanted, she is now one of my faves.

It's sad that it didn't work out for you. At least selling your Lily might give you a chance on a new girl... or boy.

 

Thanks for the support everyone! I feel so loved. My Lily seems to be happily settled with her new owner tomo. Next time I talk to her, I'll make sure she knows about this thread. I have plans for a new girl not to replace Keiko but to suit a particular character. Despite selling her, I'm happy to have been a part of the Lily community and she left me with a lot of really happy memories. Thanks everyone!

 

To be honest, I must say I felt a little uncomfortable with my Lily at first. She was with her default wig, no face up, no eyelids... she looked moody, it was like she hate me for some reason. But then her wig came and everything seemed to be OK. Now I think she's perfect, even without her face up, poor thing. I'm waiting for the MSC to come.

We're back for a little while, things not very good here, my Mum and Dad have lived in a property for the last thirty years, and now thanks to some very nasty neighbours from hell we have the council at us trying to get Mum and the dogs (rescue greyhounds) out, Dad died three years ago, we've had to remortgage the house - which frightens me to death - to pay for the legal costs that it is going to entail. ( I just feel very down and miserable at the moment.. I am also behind with my poor dolly penpals who are waiting patiently for their first letters.. so making an attempt to rejoin the world..

anyway on to better things, Arunluc your girl is Fab! She looks very sophisticated and I love her clothing! More piccys please

Tokiko - ooh you've noticed it too, Kefri's expression changes all the time, its spooky! She smiles, or looks dissaproving, or sulky or just plain mardy!! That truly is a great pic of Rukia! I don't think Kef has looked that 'DON"T mess with ME' yet but then I haven't given her any weapons yet LOL

Sarah how did that wiring go? Kef is starting to get a little loose..and re stringing still has me a nervous wreck LOL

Here is a pic of some beaded moccasins I made for Kefri last night, she only has her Teen Trend boots to wear, and a pair of sandals, I daren't put the boots on again till I"ve got socks to go under them coz getting them off is a right royal pain. So at the second attempt I made these goes with her story and doesn't go with ANYTHING else LOL. Plus somehow in the general tidying her black jeans have gone walkabout anyhow, here are the mocs, they are ok but I still need to make them neater.

Oh, well, I did my first face-up yesterday. I will redo it one day or another, surely, because I don't think this look is the most accurate for her. Maybe just the lips, too dark, and the eyebrows, they give her a sad/shy expression. Or maybe I just need to get used to her right now.

i kind of agree with you about the lips, but not about the eyebrows- i think they make her look sweetly wistful i'd give it a week or so and see how you feel. it took me a bit to get used to my Lily too (and she has blue lips!)

Anyway, when the rest of the family arrives, I'll redo the make up. I'm thinking in ordering some in pupa paradise, you know, I need yelow ones for my soon to be strawberry blonde boy, so I'll order some more, they're cheap. And shipping is just 3$ (I mean registered mail, EMS is 21$, too much...)

 

She's lovely Aranluc, she has a kind of european look to her. (in a hopes that isnt directly opposite your persona for her..) I like it, I'm with Alansandalack (who's girl is GORGEOUS by the way) give it a bit of time, I wasn't sure about Kef's face when I first did it either.

Aranluc, I think she's just lovely. I think the eyebrows are fine, and I like her lips too. They seem a little unexpected, because they're darker on a more subtle face-up, so maybe that's why you're not sure about them. Just give it some time, it may take a little getting used to is all.
