Dream Doll 'Lily' from Laidoll - Anyone Recognise Her?

Here's my Rukia trying on the wig she'll be wearing for a planned GodChild cosplay. slightly OT, but I was experimenting to see if Ichigo could wear her wig (he'll be Cain, she'll be Lukia Cromwell) and, well...her wig fits him PERFECTLY.XD

i don't have to buy a new wig for him!

As I was posing them, it occurred to me - have there been no pictures of Lilys in long wigs? She seems to favor shorter to medium-length hair.

I really love the new faceups for Lilys! I love Aura, Se-chan and Aranluc's faceups! They all look really nice on their Lilys. In response to Tokiko, when I had my Lily she wore a long Dollmore wig for a while that she only stopped wearing because it started to get really tangled. I had trouble finding long wigs that fit my Lily. I bought her a girl wig from DoD because the default wig for my U fit her really well but the girl heads are too small and the wig didn't fit my Lily at all. I think Rukia and Lilys in general are really pretty in long wigs it can be just be hard to find wigs that fit because Lilys have pretty big heads. Not to mention fur wigs give Lilys so much personality. :3

 

All these new faceups are proving that Lily is SUCH an amazing model capable of so many different looks. :P

Aranluc, Dil looks AMAZING. I LOVE HER NEW FACEUP.

Se-chan, I love Ukyou's faceup, too! She looks so mature~~.

Tokiko, I was actually considering a long wig for my Lily (who hasn't gotten here yet...^^ I like the way she looks in fur wigs the most, though, and I'm not sure if I could find a nice, longer one. But awww, that wig is super cute on Rukia!

Sue, *squeeee* I loooove Kefri!! Her new sweater is sooo cute~~! :P I hope that everything is getting better for you, Sue! I'm sorry that I didn't get to post and send you warm wishes earlier!

...On another note, Laidoll claims they'll be sending out the March orders this month. So hopefully I'll have my Lily soon! I can't wait!

 

She does favor shorter hair, but not super short bob style hair. I got a wig since my "friend" thought she'd look great in it and to me she looked like gabage. I wish to burn the bob wig now

Also update on my girl!

I was able to get her restrung, but I forgot to put her S hook in place so her head fell off. Now I have to do it all over again! Now I know how and thank you everyone for your comments and support!

I've ordered a shorter wig, it's exactly the style of the character I made, don't tell me it wouldn't look good in a Lily!

Well I can always sell it again...

 

I know someone who got one......but I wish she would have left it up to the company to do a face-up on her.......I think the doll is okay, but not something I'd want.

Aranluc did you make that bra? or what make is it? I've been thinking I should get some undies for my poor girl but no idea where to go for ones that fit. That one looks great. Oooh post pix in the new wig when it comes, even if it doesnt suit her we can learn from it, it might look great tho, can't tell till it arrives

Aura - WOW great faceup for first go, and I am loving that wig too, the colour really suits your face up, and those eyes! , yet another look for our wonderful versatile dolls.

Hiya Stray-Wind <waves> am still trying to find another wig to look ok on Kef, the two I ordered one is ok, the other just does not fit at all,I asked for 7/8 but it is too heavy to fit even with a skullcap. I really need to invest in another default wig for Kef as we are going to eventually wear this one out.

Hiya Happy Cupcake - cool re re stringing, you are braver than me!

My friend had a nice shortish bob in rich brown that looked stunning on Kef, unfortunately it came with her girl and we have no idea what make it is. Bob's can work but picking one to fit.... I am annoyed that I didnt think to get pix.

 

Has anyone got, or can anyone point me to pix of a Lily with a Luts MNF? I am on the hunt for a boy but not sure how they'll go together. (mind with the look that Kef is giving me RIGHT NOW mebbe we'll pass on the boy, and indeed any other dolls. ever. :> )

 

Sue - I would recommend Dollmore for wigs that fit well on Lilys. I had a couple of fur MSD wigs made for my Lily by Elemental here on DoA and they fit her really well. She sells them in black too and they’re similar to the default if you ever need to replace yours.

I can get you some in a couple days... a friend is having her MNF Chiwoo's body shipped here since I have his head for a face-up. Once it's here I can get you some pics n_n

 

Sue: Yes, I did the bra myself, I needed a couple of days, it's really tiny. I'm glad you like it. And the wig, well, I'll wait and see... I still have the hope she'll be OK with it (cross fingers)

The problem with Lily's wig is that she's got 18 cm head, it means 7'2'' and 7-8' wigs are a little loose, but 6-7' wigs are too small. Dil is wearing a 7-8' wig from Leeke, and it's a little big but it fits OK if you put some velcro in the skull cap. There's a company, Reeve en Poupe, that makes the wig for you in any size, the new wig will come that way. I needed a wig for my new boy (soon to arrive, he's a Dollzone Xi, a little tall for my Lily, but she don't mind XD ) and ordered another one for Lily, poor thing.

 

Aranluc, that bra is amazing! I tried to sew a real bra for Rukia but failed miserably^^; So I compromised with a piece of stretch lace with ribbons sewn on for straps. I consoled myself with the thought that it's not like she needs it for *support.*XD

I haven't really been looking for wigs for Rukia, but the long one she's wearing is a 6-7 and it's just a little too small.^^; Then I had her try on Ichigo's orange wig, a 7-8 from Jpopdolls, and it fit really well - it's got a real stretch cap, not an "adjustable" one with the velcro strap. So I feel safe recommending Jpopdolls - just make sure you get the 7-8 size!

And you know, I'm sensing a trend here - Lilys with purple eyes.:3

 

Aranluc - O.o That really sucks that the 6-7 are too small for her! That's what I got for mine. No wonder the short haired wig sucked so badly!

Sue - I wouldn't be honestly, but since her head feel off, I kinda have no choice (I sorta do, but this seems easiest ^^; )

Tokiko - That could be a bandwagon I could jump on! I'm waiting for my Volks anime eyes to come in the mail!

 

Tokiko's dead on about the Jpopdolls wigs. I have a 7-8 for Kiera, and it fits ker like a dream.

The Laidoll site has been getting really weird. It's taking Laidoll so long to get the site up and running again and the general note that their e-mails have been attacked is so unnerving. Not to mention the virus that seems to be present on their site right now is worrisome. Back when I had a site it was highjacked once and provided a gateway for a virus a year or two ago. It was a pain to get it fixed. I hope Laidoll gets over all the problems soon!
