1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Dream Doll 'Lily' from Laidoll - Anyone Recognise Her?

Aug 23, 2006

    1. That's so very sad. :( When I dealt with Laidoll almost a year ago my experience was pretty good. E-mail replies were fairly fast and the turnaround time for my doll was about a month if I recall correctly. Everything that is happening now on the Laidoll website and to their e-mails is all very disappointing. I'm hearing so many stories about how difficult it is to get in touch with Laidoll staff and get dolls that were ordered months ago that it really makes me angry. The treatment of customers is just awful. Delays happen and I know Laidoll seems to be going through a difficult period but that does not excuse them from at least keeping in touch with customers. I really hope you get your doll soon, Kaga, and don't miss your chance to get a Lily. I would figure they have to refund you if you don't get the doll. I'm not sure if you can still file a claim but I would keep on Laidoll sending e-mails and whatever else you can until you hear something back.

If you do end up with a refund don't lose hope that you may never get one. Occasionally they are sold on eBay by non-Laidoll sellers and I have seen Lilys in the marketplace from time to time. I mean I sold mine through this marketplace. Try posting a WTB thread if it comes down to it. That's how Tomo got her Lily from me.

Good luck to you and your friend and I hope you get your Lily soon! :)

    2. Um, I ordered Lily a few month ago.
I really love her, fer skin is soft and good looking. I ordered her without make-up. Huh, i don't really like Lily's hands, they are too simple for me.
Anyway, here is my Kuu: :)

    3. She's beautiful! I love her! :aheartbea

    4. Kaga, I hope everything works out... :(

      asimetria, she's a cutie!!

    5. asimetrea: ooh, your Lily is pretty! She looks so great in two-toned hair! (what kind of wig is that if you don't mind me asking...?:3)

Kaga: I'm so sorry to hear about the (ongoing) problems with Laidoll.:( I was hoping things would get better. I believe you could file a claim with the credit card company if it's too late to open a Paypal dispute/claim. (if you paid by CC you have that additional venue open.) I don't normally recommend this, but...Have you seen change8023's feedback thread here? If she hasn't been responding to your PMs, even though you bought your doll on ebay instead of here, you do have this option. (assuming she's still logging on to DoA). Sad to say, that's the only way someone was able to get her to respond.

    6. Asimetria's Lily is adorable! :fangirl: I love her face-up and the wig really suits her.

Kaga - I would recommend doing what Tokiko says. Leaving feedback seems like a good step but according to change8023's profile, she hasn't logged in since March 26th. *_* It's hard to say if taking DoA action will lead to very much. I really hope you find out something about what's going on soon.

    7. ooh thanks! I THOUGHT it was a jpopdolls design, but I wasn't sure. So their 7/8 is too big? I wonder if that means Jpop's wig sizes may not be consistent...

    8. they aren't really inconsistent, their wigs are elastic so they're kinda loose on the smaller heads like lily. i'll try some 6/7 wigs on meryll, i have a couple laying around! i'll let you know how they fit n_n

      (edit) ok here we go...

      first, is the same wig that Kuu is wearing up there, also in 7/8... fits alright if you wear it really low >.>;

now the 6/7 wigs... they both were a little tight to get on, cuz of lily's head shape. had to put them forward a little, then they fit pretty well! would have to have a rubber band to keep them from popping off too much i think hehehe

(meryll looks really awesome in this one o.O) this one is a Jojo wig

this one is a BJ wig

    9. mendokusai: She looks so damn good in BJ wig! I want one too. o.o

    10. Hi,

I just ordered a Lily. She will not be arriving with a kimono so, does anyone have her measurements?

I hope to have something wearable for her by the time she gets here.

    11. Height:43cm
      Head size:18.5cm
      Neck size:6cm
      Shoulder width:8.2cm
      Breast size:17.5cm
      Waist size:13cm
      Hip size:17.5cm

Friends 2B Made clothes fits her very well, and they are really cheap.

    12. Thanks,

I have some on order but I would like to make some stuff too. It's more fun.

    13. mendokusai: Thanks for the fashion show! ^_^ That really helps. I got a 6/7 wig from jpopdolls for Rukia (the long one from a few pages back), and ran into the "tight to get on" problem too. I'm kind of afraid to move her when she's wearing it for fear it might pop off, even though she's got Volks tape on.:sweat

lesrees - a few other measurements that I hope you might find useful (I make my own patterns for my Lily too):
Shoulder to wrist - 13 cm
Waist to knee - 14 cm
Waist to ankle - 24 cm
Length of back (from base of neck to waist) - 10 cm

    14. Have you tried sitting it more towards her forehead? the wigs i had on meryll, they seemed to fit better if they were higher on the back of the head/lower on the front. but the one you have might be made differently hehehe

    15. Well, it's got the same elastic lace cap as the one that Ichigo wears ("Winds", also from JPop) so I think it's made the same, though I don't know wigs too well.:XD: I did try seating it further towards the front of her head but it had a kind of, um, toupee effect:sweat which didn't work for the updo style that I bought it for. Maybe I should try putting some tape near her nape.

    16. LOL yeah a bigger size is probably best for the shorter wigs i think hehehehehehehe

    17. Well, now I'm confused about the jpopdolls wigs. Kiera has a 7/8, and it fits her really nicely. It's loose enough for me to tilt it forward or back a little bit if I need to, but it also stays on, even if I hold her upside down. Maybe I got one with slightly different sizing?

    18. I tried e-mailing change a few days ago (assuming that her hotmail account has not been 'damaged') to try and figure out what was going on with Kaga and my dolls, still no word back from her. I do hope that the dolls are on their way, but i have no offical word if they are or not. I did pay by credit card (its too late to file with paypal), so i know if worse comes to worse then I can file with the cc company still.

I just hate how this whole situation has turned out like it has T_T

    19. I ordered my Lily in january and I had no response from Laidoll, nor even a confirmation of the payment, just because a earthquake had cut the comunications in Asia. My lily came home on february, and a week after I received an e-mail from them saying they have received the order and the doll were already shipped. Laidoll is having a lot of bad luck lately, but be patient, they are OK after all and I'm sure that if they have the money, the would send the dolls.
