@Aleksantaeri I can't wait to see how you style him! His faceup actually looks pretty good to me - there's a couple of spots but I think that's just the very bright lights reflecting - DOD were often very heavy on the gloss Delphine has arrived safely and her only flaws are 1 chipped fingernail and her elastic is so old it's no longer stretchy, or rather it's just let itself go. Her legs hang a good couple inches below her hip joint, and her shoulders flop out I'll give her a quick scrub and restring her tonight. Her clothes and wig came with their original packaging so I don't think she's actually worn either of them! Here she is, waking from her slumber: (Her eyewells definitely need a bit of bevel sanding, her eyes are so far back )
@Shido She's really in a good shape. Lucky find! About eyes, maybe you can try a pair of low dome narrow iris first. If that doesn't work out, then sanding is an option.
Oh my gods she’s sooo gorgeous I’m overcome That’s a good point about the gloss on Camine though. Maybe I’m just jumping the gun and should wait to see what he looks like in person. I just feel like his lips are such a different shape than I’m used to his face having. Is that just me? Maybe the faceup artist was a different one then did the website pictures for him, but my brain says the center of his mouth should be more round/pouty. I thought maybe the bottom/edge of his lip color faded over the years or something. Is that just me being too picky? Haha
@Aleksantaeri Faceups aren't ever exactly the same - it looks like the angle his head's at is tilted up a little more vs the wig photo as well. I'm sure it'll all be good when he arrives - and if not, a faceup artist more than likely can blush his lip a little further down I've only ever edited faceups on my own dolls but it definitely is possible! ETA: Here's a too-big for DOA photo of my Camine, so you can see the shape of his mouth a bit better? His lips are also only half-coloured so it's likely the artist's thing

I hope he hurries too! The seller photos aren't great - they obviously have a formula to stick to but a bit more detail would be nice
Just took some photos today of Noah, in honor of the new Camine coming home to @Aleksantaeri! I decided to put his default wig on, which he probably hasn’t worn in 17 years lol. His faceup has held up quite well, albeit has faded some, so it does need a refresher to bring some soft, warm colors back to his face.
@Aleksantaeri Welcome! Unfortunately no, I've left my E-an as she is. Ideally I'd get her faceup done but I think I'm going to leave her as a little time capsule to 2007!
He is so handsome. Is there a way to give his faceup a refresher without damaging the iconic DOD faceup? That's totally understandable. It sounds really nerve wracking when there's so many things that could go wrong! I wish there was someone who specialized in fixing faceups but keeping their original style.
Carefully wipe the head of any dust or dirt layers. Regular water won't damage an existing faceup if the sealant is in place. This is an important step in welcoming any second hand doll anyways, and helps the doll look and feel more new and refreshed! You should be able to add any new paint, chalk, and blushing at this point, as long as you do it lightly and seal properly. New eyelashes should also be an easy exchange, as they do tend to deteriorate over the years.

I assume Delphine no matter ifcit’s grey or ws, she is also very hard to find I wonder if they all came from one collector? Since most have the original old body type and I assume old skin tone?

@Shido, Delphine's eyes may have been set with too much eye putty. If the original owner replaced the eyes they may have used too much putty, hopefully that's the case. She is beautifully done and sanding the eye wells would probably mean the removal of her applied lashes. Years ago I got Ducan full set (two toned wig and all.) I remember when I opened him up I couldn't believe how beautiful the resin was in both color tone and feel. At that time I had a few Volks, but I preferred Ducan's resin color. I was sad to see that color fade, but all resin tends to change over time. @Shido, congrats on your find. I'm so happy for you.
I think they're more than likely from one collection considering they all have their boxes, original faceups etc. I hope whoever had them originally can be pleased they're going to adoring homes @oriscany alas her eyes are set with only a tiny bit of putty as opposed to the clay monstrosity I've had before, and they're definitely only bevelled for much smaller eyes! Think 10/12mm instead of 14/16mm that she's meant to take I have a spare pair of silicone eyes in my box so she'll get them first. She's too pretty to damage her faceup! I'm sad to see the bright pink fade too, even my brightest one is faded now. DOD! come back! I need a new milkshake pink, stat The grey has yellowed a little compared to the inside of her headcap but it's not a bad colour - not green or anything.
@Aleksantaeri Considering DoD was heavy on the gloss, be careful not to get MSC on it. Gloss is always a last step! If MSC is sprayed on top, it’ll get gunky.

Dang, I was just looking at the wayback machine for DOD and looked at some of the clothing. But I don't recognize the left one. The right one as you said, there is no doubts. I aslo have the fullset of it.
I’ve definitely tried the way back machine, a lot. But I never have any luck actually seeing most of the outfits.
