Dream of Doll: DoT and DoI - Part 7

There are vinyl repair kits you can buy that lets you essentially paint a new layer of vinyl on top and buff in to match. It's best for small repairs or damage, so if the whole thing is pealing it may not help. Also, it can be hard to color match. But I have a black kit I've been meaning to use to try and save some doll boots and a jacket I have. It's worth a shot anyway, in my opinion.

Ooo yes I was going to try clear coat, good to know to apply very,very thinly. I am on a mission to acquire the water wax now --- it would be so good to get a photoshoot of him in his OG set. I was never too fond of it back in the day but I've grown to love that set and wig ♥️

Ooft, I don't think I could beat to peel it off but I totally see why you would for long term wear

 

Hi I'm just lurking because I don't own any DOD dolls, but I remember when Delphine and Kalix came out the first time and OMG she's so pretty, I'm so sad that DOD went out of business while I was dealing with a lot of life stuff. Those two were ones I desperately wanted!

Oh I desperately wanted them in the original grey, I don't even care about the clothes, the sculpts were just so beautiful and really appealed too me. If I ever could I would 100% still try but right now new dolls are not in the budget. Sadly.

 

Same for the lurking and also for wanting both Delphine and Kalix! My friend got the Delphine (who I recently adopted) and I have always regretted not getting a Kalix at the same time. My reasoning then was that I didn't like the body he came on...I don't think I would have minded it though... I've seen a few pop up on the MP over the years but have always let them go while sighing wistfully. lol

 

I think it was last year when a Kalix came up for sale in the uk and I was kicking myself for missing out on that sale I was second in line if the sale didn't go through.

Ah, thank you! It's a very old photo. I think that I want to do a photo shoot of him in his original wig and outfit, it's just a matter of spoon management!
