Awwww, that's a real shame that DoD wouldn't make a human version of her

 

I feel so lucky too! She really is my dreamdoll Thank you shirou oh sakura!

But oh, how I pity those of you wishing for a human version of her.

 

Wow.. No human version o.o I was pretty sure that they would make on of those.. That means.. that I'll have a REAL limited doll, with no look-a-likes .. wow o.o (Or I'll have her in 5-7 months before she gets to her new owner ^^')
I feel sorry for those who were waiting for a human version Dx

I just read on DoD site they because of all the fuss about her eyelashes they will be attaching/including eyelashes for her. WOW! we really need to thank them for this.

Yay!! We all get eyelashes!! I was thinking about buying some and having DoD attach it to her but I guess I won't have to any more. :3 I love you DoD!!

 

Yay! I was going to email them about attaching eyelashes, too, but this is much better.

Pity they're not making a Homme version of her, though - I think she'd be gorgeous. It makes me happier that I bought the elf version, though - the only elf dolls I really love are the DOD ones.

 

hahah so funny. they said they would for me earlier, and a bunch of people asked me how I got them to agree, so...I guess a -lot of people asked!

 

there is an ira available on the site if someone is still looking. I'm guessing someone cancelled with the payment due imminently.
My echeck cleared yesterday, within the time frame (happily) but I havent gotten my confirmation from DoD yet. I forwarded the email that shows I've paid (and in time) just in case they miss it.
Now its just the long wait until she come.......since no one will be living in my condo, its a safe bet that I'll be picking her up at the post office.

 

Selmada > Well.. sometimes does DoDs payment confirmation not work.. I have ordered dolls from them twice before, and I did never get a confirmation..

On this subject, I think we can expect to see more limiteds coming out, with only a few over to regulars. In the Elf line, they have this whole story, with different types of elfs etc. It sounds like they already have plans for more. I expect most of them to be limiteds.
Some of the reason for limiteds, particularly in full set, is that it involves clothes too. They may not be able to get the same fabric, seamstress etc.
Also, like most artists, I suspect they enjoy creating something new, not just keep 'making' the same ones over and over again.
All I know, is they keep tempting me. I-RA will be my 4th DoD doll. But I'm also addicted to their clothes and am waiting on the most recent DoC outfit for my Homme Ivan (or maybe elf Kirill)

Thanks Katia, that gives me hope (although one available scares me, in case its 'mine'). I had a horrible week last week and am just settling back into life. In fact, "getting to order" Ira was the highlight of Tuesday (condo flooded, had to move to hotel, dad in hospital, and more). I was a bit numb, but was really hoping this would go through in time (cleared my bank account on the 30th)

 

Wow I'm so sorry your week wasn't the greatest.... Another way of checking if payment was recieved is to go into your Order List in your DOD Account and check on the status of your order. It should say Payment Recieved if they have indeed recieved payment for your girl... I hope they did

I've checked the order page and it hasnt change, still showing payment not received. I sent an email today. Hopefully it all works out. my payment was successfully sent before the cutoff and I'll fight it if they cancel my order (not cancelled yet so that gives me hope)
On a good note, dispite the flooding, my dolls are all okay. Most were still sitting in their water resistant suitecase from the last doll meet, but my Dod kids were out (because Homme Ducan had arrived and they wanted to spend time with him). So it could have been worse. Once this is over though, I'm going to need to increase my insurance coverage because I'm sure the dolls alone are more than half my personal property limit.
I'll keep checking dod today to see if my status changes and chew down what is left of my fingernails.......

 

Hmmm... just a random though... but I don't get why there is a human body on I-ra's sword. :/ I mean the sword would be fine without it. I just don't get why they would randomly put it there... or maybe there is a story to it ne?

 

The sword contains the soul of the first man she killed? Or the soul of the wizard who created it? Something like that could be fun. ^_^

I was one of those people asking for eyelashes. This is such a pleasant surprise! It is really nice of DoD to do this for us all. Not only do they release the most beautiful elf, but they actually put on the eyelashes a lot of us wanted to have for her.

Now all we have to do is ask a lot after flat feet extras... Then she would be even more than perfect.

 

Awww crap I hope they at least have a regular release!! ;_;
