When did you order? - Jan 2 2006 and Aug 11 2007

How was the communication? - Thou they slow on replying email but they did reply me email within a day... ^_^

How easy was it to pay? - I used wire transfer and within 3 days they paymet already confirm

How long did it take to ship? - My first doll they took 4 weeks to ship and my second doll due to I order Too and Bee-a set, this take them a little time about 5 to 6 weeks.

Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? - Well I feel it does worth for the price they made. I always love DOD dolls a lot and I already owned 3 DOD dolls. Cause my the other DOD mum adopted from my friend.

Did the item look like the sales pictures? - Guess what, they are much more beautiful then the sale picture. xD

Were you satisfied with the product? - YES... I am super satisfy with the product! XD

 

Just placed a wire transfer for my order..was the most terrifying experience ever. My bank (halifax) has a system that has nowhere to put the order number...they dont have a comments box or anything. I was so insistent that it was put on there that they took out a telephone number from DoD's bank and put my order number in there. Ive emailed DoD to let them know this...omg i hope they understand. (im a uk customer so other ukers who bank with Halifax be warned).

There's not a lot of space to answer over there. Basically, I suggested emailing DOD, using very simple language and give them all the details of the transfer. Tell them what date it was done, the name and location of your bank, your delivery address and Order no, what doll/items you've ordered and when you ordered them. I'd also ask them to confirm when they receive your payment.

I was persnally thrilled when my first DOD came in! I bought a DOT Sha and I love him to death! He is simply beautiful in every way and I couldn't imagin a more perfect doll!

The faceup was great (I got a light brown) and working with the company themselves was fantastic! When ever I had a question, I could email them and get a reply within 1-2 days with a very good, polite response!

I used the Bank Wire Transfer and it couldn't have gone smoother, I made my order, ran to the bank and within a few hours I got a notice saying my Sha was paid for and my order was in production.

The only problem I came across was the wait time, they say on the site expect 4-6 weeks for shipping... but even knowing that it was hard to wait! My order went in on September 16th, and my boy arrived home November 14th.

I am extremly happy with everything about DOD, the packaging for the delivery was very well done with enough bubble wrap cover my living room! XD But I am very thankful for it and my boy arrived in great condition. His stringing is pretty tight right now, but playing around with him it's gotten a bit looser and it's easy to put him into positions.

I think DOD is a great company and I will for sure be buying from them again

Good actually, they replied promptly to my mails. Very nice all in all.
~How easy was it to pay?
Hum, paid through CC. Easy enough. Had to send a copy of my ID and CC though, but it wasn't difficult. Got a confirmation very quickly.
~How long did it take to ship?
Was shipped after 5 weeks, + another week for the post office to deliver the EMS.
~Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
Absolutely. Ther quality was perfect, the doll is beautiful and well made and the packaging was very well made.

Yes, the doll did. Though I must say that the default clothes weren't as good as I expected (and as was shown on the pics)

Yes! I wouldn't change my boy for anything.

How was the communication? - pretty great as foreign companies go! almost all my e-mails were answered within a week of having them sent.

How easy was it to pay? i had no idea what i was doing, so i went onto the DOA forums and was helped out by a bunch of people. of course buying from them now is different because they are no longer excepting paypal.

How long did it take to ship? i recieved my confirmation e-mail and then only had to wait about 6 weeks to get my girl. she was in pristine condition, and so pretty.

Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? - yes yes yes. it is expensive and the shipping and handling costs are pretty steep, but my doll was gorgeous and i love how well cared for she was when shipped to me.

Did the item look like the sales pictures? -deffinitley

Were you satisfied with the product? - yes! DOD is very dedicated to their customers, and they really care about their dolls, great product!

It was pretty good. They gave me the wrong tracking number when they sent out my shipping notice. After I e-mailed them about it, they replied within three days.

How easy was it to pay?
It was quite easy since they still accepted Paypal at that point.

How long did it take to ship?
DOD really impressed me with how quickly they sent out my boy. They only took four and a 1/2 weeks with him. O_O They were so fast I thought they might have forgotten something. XD;

Was the quality appropriate for the price?
Yes, of course! I love my doll, and the gorgeous face-up they did was absolutely worth every penny.

Did the item look like the sales picture?
Well, I think he looks even prettier in person, but yes. XP Oh, except for the default wig they sent with him. It wasn't made very well, and you could see the headcap quite clearly through the strands of hair.

Were you satisfied with the product?
Of course. I absolutely adore my boy.

How was the communication? - Beautiful! When ever I sent an email they were very quick with replys and very polite with them too! They never took long to answer questions no matter how simple they were! I'm always happy to deal with DOD they are all very pleasent people.

How easy was it to pay? - VERY! I guess it helps that my mom works in a bank and wired the money herself. But paying was simple and it was very quick for them to reply that my money had arrived

How long did it take to ship? - Just under 2 months. Sep 16th - Nov 14th.

Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? - Oh yes very! He is simply beautiful! Hair, body, faceup, eyes. Everything bit of him was worth every cent!

Did the item look like the sales pictures? - Not really. I ordered a different faceup then the default which has a big change on him, and his hair isn't styled much like the default pictures. His face shape is exact to the pictures and his body as well

Were you satisfied with the product? - Oh yeah! I plan on ordering much more from DOD (I actually just ordered 2 outfits from them and a pair of shoes!)

How was the communication? - very good. They answered my questions in less than 24 hours

How easy was it to pay? - Not bad. Had to go to the bank and pay a fee but it was quite simple.

How long did it take to ship? - within 5 weeks

Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? - I think so. It is the only body I've ever seen in person though but I can compare it to Souldoll resin(his head)and I think it is very nice. Had seam lines but they were not at all jagged so they did not absolutely have to be removed.

Did the item look like the sales pictures? - Yes for the most part. I think it is a bit prettier in person.

Were you satisfied with the product? - I was and am quite satisfied.

Note-I would order from them again. All in all I am happy but there is just one thing.... The resin had a smell like fresh plastic. It was not that bad and is almost completely gone but I did not like it. If you are very sensitive to smells be careful when opening the box. Washing seemed to help but I think it still needs to be aired out a little.

How easy was it to pay? - Yes. I paid with a credit card. I sent them my information right after ordering and asked them to reply so I knew that they recieved my info.

How long did it take to ship? - It shipped out after 8 weeks (2007.11.28) and took 4 days to get here.

Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? - Yes, he's lovely. The clothes are a bit akward though. The faceup is amazing.

Did the item look like the sales pictures? - Yep.

How easy was it to pay? - Yes. I paid with a credit card. I always paid with CC and sent them my info via fax. I always get a confirmation e-mail of my order and the receipt of my e-fax within the same day.

How long did it take to ship? - It shipped out after 10.5 weeks and took 3 days to get here.

Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? - Yes, he's super cute.

Did the item look like the sales pictures? - Yep.

Were you satisfied with the product? - I was afraid that I would not like him. But he is so cute, they did an excellent job with his face up. I will make sure to order LE as soon as they go on sale next time, so I won't have to wait forever.

How easy was to pay: Back then it was quite easy and safe because they still accepted paypal.

How long did it take to ship: 4 weeks, 4 weeks, 6 weeks

Was the quality appropriate for the price in your opinion: In the first two dolls the quality was great, My Ea-an however felt differently and the new resin color was not up to my taste.

Did the item look like the sale pictures: My Shall had the pink face up so she did not look like th pictures and she also had the black tender Shall wig. My Sorren looked even better than the pictures and my E-an looked just same as the picutres.

Where you satisfied with the product: I was quite satisfied with all three dolls.

Personal note:DOD gave me the feeling that their costumer service was a bit unstable. I always knew they took their time before answering emails, but the thing that looked strange it was that some times they were very friendly and polite while others they seemed like they were doing me a favor for selling me their dolls. Also I had a very bad communication/ experience/ costumer service with my last doll. The doll arrived in perfect shape etc but there was an unpleasant feeling in the entire deal which eventually lead me to totally dislike the doll, left me some very unpleasant memories and promised to myself not to buy from them again.

How was the communication?
They were slow at answering emails. 4 days or more prehaps. I emailed them about changing the body tothe new version and they allowed me too very easily and didnt charge me the extra ^^.
Later on into my order they contacted me about the shoes I ordered not being in stock and happily included a rather expensive pair for me as a relplace ment ^^

How easy was it to pay?
At first I tried to purchase with a credit xcard but I decided I wanted to use paypal. I emailed them asking to pay by paypal and they took me through the steps no problem. they were mega friendly!

How long did it take to ship?
About 8 weeks so send him out and nearly maxed 9 weeks when he arrived @_@ -But I did order make-up and clothes so...

Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
Perfect! it wasnt what I was expecting it was better! I love DOC posing ability and they are just the most beautiful dolls ^^

Yep, a few differences here an there but to be expected since everything is hand made.

How was the communication? - Very good, i emailed a couple of times once to make sure they would get my bank transfer (my bank didnt have a space to put order number so i got them to put it where the telephone number was ment to go), and once when he was shipped as his tracking didnt update for almost 2 weeks, they repied within 24hours and were really helpful and checked where my order had gone when they had handed it over to ems.

How easy was it to pay? - Wasnt too bad, all the bank transfer details were there, the problems were my end with a stupid bank that has nowhere on its computer forms to put down an order number (i mean how stupid is that?)

How long did it take to ship? - He was shipped 26th December which was early thats like 4 weeks. He did take 2 weeks to arrive in the uk but i put that down to the xmas post.

Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? - Yes definatly hes definatly worth the price!

Did the item look like the sales pictures? - I hadnt seen a brown faceup on a ducan doll but wanted one. The outfits and Ducan himself look just like they do in the sales pics.

Were you satisfied with the product? - Very satisfied i love him.


On a side note i emailed DoD just to let them know that Ducan had arrived and they replied this morning saying they were glad he arrived safely. (i like to email companies to let them know my doll has arrived).

How was the communication?: Rough at first - there was a discrepancy with my mailing address and they failed to notify me of this until the day that I expected the wig to arrive - I was even more annoyed because they had sent me a shipping confirmation e-mail. After that it was smooth sailing, though.
How easy was it to pay?: Very - I took advantage of their Christmas special.
How long did it take to ship?: Eight days, with a weekend factored in (the PO is closed on weekends here). Technically, only six, which was good. I do wish they would have used a smaller box, though. . .The package the wig came in was knocking around and there was no padding. :\
Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?: Yes - fur wigs are so nice to style. X3 No bald spots, and it fit my doll wonderfully.

Great communication! I asked if my girl would be shipped in time for Christmas and they apologised and promised to ship her before the New Year, which they kept to~

How easy was it to pay?
Very easy, i paid by card and had no trouble at all.

How long did it take to ship?
She shipped after 5 weeks.

Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
She's lovely! Slight problem with the resin being rough on the left arm but nothing a little sanding couldn't fix. The quality is great, she's so light but she poses wonderfully~ Despite them originally saying she would not come with a carrier bag or eyes they included them both anyway.

Did the item look like the sales pictures?
Nothing at all like the sales pictures, she looks so much better. The photos of Zen are incredibly unflattering.

Were you satisfied with the product?
Very much so~ I look forward to purchasing from DOD again!
