Great, didn't need to contact them for this particular order, but others they've been super fast~

Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
Excellent quality clothing as expected~ ^^ Definately worth the money~

Did the item look like the sales pictures?
Yes, they did. But the leather (faux) for the pants were more of a cream than white like the jacket.

Were you satisfied with the product?
Overall, yes and I would buy clothing from them again. ^^

 

I am also thinking of making a purchase to DoD. So if anyone can answer any or all of these questions I thank you in advance.

1/Do they take payments/layaway? I can't seem to find it anywhere on the site, I'm guessing no, but I want to be positive.

2/Do they have any free shipping over ??? or specials or deals or anything like that? My friend said that the shipping for her was about $80 I'd really like to know if there is anyway to avoid it like on dollmore.

3/Can you really get sold out clothing items if you email them? I have my heart set on the DOT pink dress with the silly frilly collar & to really be able to get that would be wonderful.

1.- They do not.
2.- They don't do the free shipping either, maybe try saving by joining a group order?
3.- I have heard that you can, I haven't done it though so I can't say for sure.

1 - nope as answered above
2 - no free shipping (though on the contest prizes yes) but they do have events from time to time. Last year was the Valentine event where you got a pair of DoCs for quite a good deal, this year was a free DoT limited head. To save on shipping best idea is to find someone local, and split the cost or do a group order
3 - yes. I got a pair of shoes and some clothes this way. Now you can also use the Q&A board (use the right section though) to ask which may be faster. However if they don't have the materials anymore then there is a chance the outfit you want isn't available. Limited items though are not available anymore (like the Black Shall outfit for example)

I have a question. ^^'
I put in an order for my doll a few days ago, and I'm paying through Paypal. After I completed my order, I checked my email. I had recieved the "reciept", but several days later I'm still waiting on an email from paypal so that I can pay. Is this sort of delay typical, or should I contact them...???

Despite his crack; yes.

I contacted D.o.D. about his cracked thigh and they sent me a replacement part free of charge. I received it a little over a week after contacting them about it.

 

This is good to know, it seems nearly everybody is confident in DOD's abilities and service, except for like 2 people? meh. seems good!
this has definitely given me the confidence to order my boy!!! XD!!

 

it is quite typical; it took several days for them to accept the money from paypal. if a week goes by with no response, email DoD and find out what is going on

How was the communication?
Very good. I love Su over at their customer service, such a nice person who has helped me with everything
How easy was it to pay?
Easy. I made a money transfer, so I went to the bank, and they fixed everything for me. A few days later customer service told me they had received my payment, so all went good there. ^^
How long did it take to ship?
A looong time. XD They shipped everything on May 30. But it was so worth the wait.

Oh yes. My doll is lovely, the clothes are beautiful, the wig is beautiful, the boots are beautiful...

Yep. But I ordered with custom face-up, so not exactly, but... you get what I mean. XD Other than that, yes.

very easy, if it weren't for paypal messing up but that wasn't dream of doll's fault. they were very understanding and patient about the problem.

seven weeks
eight weeks including shipping time.

definitely, my doll is gorgeous! his face-up is really very beautiful and they even gave me the eye colour i requested!
his wig is a bit fuzzy but i think that's because i man-handled it too much.

Did the item look like the sales pictures?
very much so, maybe even prettier than the sales picture.

oh yes! i would definitely buy from them again!

i love my doc so much he looks so much better that the pictures ive found that dod is a very reliable site. i had wondeful service sadley though to my knowlage they have discontinued the dod carrier bags and instead are sending them in special boxes. but the bag was just a plus the doll are worth every cent

Homme Kirill with default clothes, a light brown face up, two outfits and one shirt

When did you order?
April 14th for the doll and face up, the clothes were ordered on three separate occasions after the initial order for the doll.

How was the communication?
Excellent. I couldn't be happier! DoD have always responded to my emails within 24 hours and the same for when I used the Q&A board to ask questions too.

How easy was it to pay?
I used Paypal so it was easy; although I have to admit, if I weren't used to manually sending money to people, I'd have wondered how to go about paying the amount.

How long did it take to ship?
Mm... they shipped everything out to me on the 8th week.

Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
Yes, definitely.

Did the item look like the sales pictures?
Asides from a different face up, everything else about my doll was more or less exactly as it was in the pictures. The clothes are pretty much the same as shown in the photos too, except for one of the outfits I bought where the pants seem a shade darker than the rest of the outfit (but you can't really see the pants in the photos for that outfit anyway, so I won't complain lol)

Were you satisfied with the product?
Over all, despite the long wait and the fact my doll got stuck in customs (no fault of DoD's), I am very satisfied with my doll and also with the clothes I ordered too. If there is anything that I'm not satisfied with, it's probably a very minor detail with my doll's left eye's opening which seems slightly smaller than the other eye. To be honest, I'm not sure if that's part of the doll's features or not, since it does kind of make my doll look like he's attempting to wink cheekily at me (which is cute ). It's not too noticeable unless you stare at his eyes forever

I placed my order on April 29th but my payment wasn't confirmed until May 6th.

How was the communication?
It was good, they're very friendly.

How easy was it to pay?
It wasn't too bad, I paid by wire transfer, because i had heard so many stories about DOD's paypal being confusing.

How long did it take to ship?
surprisingly only about 6 weeks, my payment was confirmed May 6th and he arrived June 18th.

Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
He definitely is, I completely love him, but unfortunately he had a crack in his thigh, above his knee joint when he arrived.

Did the item look like the sales pictures?
Besides the different face up, which i like better then his default, and his crack, yes he does look like the sales pictures. In fact i think he looks better!

Were you satisfied with the product?
I was besides the crack, but I did contact them and they are sending me a new thigh piece, free of charge.

April 27th. Everything was ordered and confirmed the same day.

They shipped on Day 53 (Middle of Week8). They arrived on day 56 (end/close of Week8)

There were no noticeable ailments. So yes, they are worth every penny.

Did the item look like the sales pictures?
Better. Tsukasa's (Too's) makeup is darker than default, which fit my needs so I was quite happy about it.

Were you satisfied with the product?
Very satisfied. DoD was such a pleasure to deal with, I really think they're great.

Super. I asked them a question or two on their Q+A board and they were always quick and friendly to respond.

Easy as pie. Payed with Paypal.

How long did it take to ship?
Exactly 6 weeks from payment confirmation. I didn't oder a faceup with my doll so it took a bit quicker than normal.

Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
Yes~ As soon as I saw his face appear out of the bubblewrap I knew it was worth it TAT. The resin has a nice texture and colour and he feels solidly made. There were no defects at all.

Did the item look like the sales pictures?
It would if I got the faceup, but obviously a faceup-less doll won't match their pretty promo pics.

Were you satisfied with the product?
Yes. I wouldn't hesitate in buying from them again should something else interest me
