1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Dream of Doll's "Dream of Idol" (DoI) line - Luke, A&D and CRUSH!

Nov 27, 2007

    1. It really depends on how many orders they get during this promo period.

My first BJD was from DOD. I bought him in April, the wait was 5 weeks. Excellent quality with beautiful face up.

My second doll from DOD was the LE Vamp Kirill, I did not order him until the very last date; so my order did not ship out until the the last patch. The wait was over 2 months. However, he also came with an awesome face up. I am totally satisfied. Since DOD is not a big company, I completely understand the extended wait time during an Event Period, (I work in manufacturing industry as well, so I know the situation all too well.) So I do not mind the wait as long as my boy comes to me perfect. Anyway, if you order early, your wait will probably shorter than if you wait until last minute.

Sorry about the long answer *_*

    2. And they're now available to buy. -dies- I want Luke now! T_T -needs to bug dad before it gets too close to the last minute ordering date-

    3. I bought mine at, according to my receipt '2:57:00' XD I'm so happy...there goes half my money...

    4. Maybe he will let you take an advance on the allowance for 2008??

    5. Does anyone know why they don't have make-up options? o__O Is the make-up free then? (If so that would be fabulous!)

And shipping is quite expensive. o__o Anyone know why it's more than what most other companies charge? *doing a mock order to configure prices*

    6. No, no, no.

You need to add the face up separately. Check the menu bar on the left hand side. There is a link for the face up. You will add that item to your order, if you want them to do the face up for you.

I thought the shipping cost was about the same for the past two times I ordered.... hmmmm.

    7. That probably wont work.. :( I'll just have to continue begging tomorrow.

    8. Did you go for Luke??:)

    9. I am pretty sure if you offer to do something around the house (etc.) he will be more likely to agree sooner.

    10. Have you pointed out that by buying before the end of the month it saves probably like $200? ;)

    11. Aaah, thank you so much! I'm not used to ordering directly from companies (especially DOD), so I'm sorry if I seem a bit daft to it. ^^'

The shipping just seems high, compared with companies like Luts or Volks. When I ordered my Yder shipping was about $60, so I'm just curious as to why shipping from DOD is nearing $90.

    12. I know why. Because DOD dolls are a lot heavier than Luts or Volks dolls.

    13. I believe I saw somewhere that DoD actually bases their shipping on your order total?...

    14. I'll have to mention that little detail. ;)

    15. Yes, I went for Luke~ :aheartbea

It could be because the resin is heavier, as YukiOokami said, also, the DoI are 70CM as well.

    16. No problem, it is confusing if you have not ordered from them before.

Well, the shipping cost all internet companies charge is "freight and handling costs". So it varies from company to company. (Just like on ebay, some seller charges $2.00 for shipping while other charges $7.00 for the same item.)

So the fee you are paying also include the packaging, running to the post office etc. Some companies may have negotiate a better rate with the post office if they mail in large volume all the time.

These are all possible reasons. LASTLY, do not forget that these are 70 CM boys, they will be bigger and heavier than Delf or SD 13, so that will make the shipping higher as well.

My H Ducan was only about $80.00 in shipping and DOC was about $56.00 in shipping.

    17. damnit! now I dont know which one I want! >_<

    18. Aah, that's what I was figuring! Thanks so much everyone for your answers. I'm just far too used to buying through Y!J, so ordering from a company now seems so confusing. @__@ I appreciate all the help!

    19. You're welcome. :)

    20. Hello,

Does anybody know if I buy 2 DOI (but ship to differnt places) an make 2 orders (but the same user ID). How many free head I will get?

      >> Only one because ordered from a same ID, or two because I buy 2 dolls?

I want to call DoD but I can't speak Korean!!! >////<
