1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Dream of Doll's "Dream of Idol" (DoI) line - Luke, A&D and CRUSH!

Nov 27, 2007

    1. MNNNN MAN JOINTS!

I am so excited ~ I ordered my Luke just now D: Thank god they'll be selling the bodies seperately...I really want to see if this T.Lahoo head will fit on the DOI bodies *_*

    2. Hmm... sounds simple enough... Maybe I'll test it out next time I order something :) Thanks again!

    3. It is pretty simple. :) Though I wasn't the one that had to do the scanning and stuff since dad could only do that at work. XD But yeah, it's easy. You're welcome. ^^

    4. Wow! figure drawing? That's a talent I'm hoping to expand on --- I can draw faces pretty well, but when i try to draw a body to go with it --- it just looks like a BJD head on a broomstick... >_<
A&D #1 is a pretty popular boi -- g'luck saving up! Stop eating, drinking, sleeping and just go out there and make moo-lah!!! :D

    5.
lol Thanks for the luck! That made me laugh about the no sleeping and eating!
Yeah figure drawing isn't my strongest point. I have to work hard at it, but I'm improving. Two years ago I had a B-, and this year I raised it to a B+. I think having a BJD around will help a bit with poses when there aren't any naked people around! Practice makes perfect!

    6. Practice does make perfect --- those wooden dolls just aren't cutting it eh?
I haven't been drawing much since I got my BJDs --- they take up alotta time.... (I could stare at them for hours --- literally... O_O) I can't wait to paint the face --- there are a few techniques I want to try out.... =)

No matter how well they simulate a real body though --- there's not much they can do about the shifting of muscles on a real human... Like --- you can't really ask a BJD to flex and show you his bulging biceps --- ya know? Yet somehow they're realistic enough to drool over...

    7. @StreppyPoo: I just noticed your sig... ehehehe... we're the same. I love most of DOD dolls. They're my fav doll company... I got ducan, soon to arrive DOI Luke and T.lahoo... I have still other two DOC and 1 DOI in my wishlist. ehehe...

    8. Yay~ I ordered my Luke yesterday! Shipping to NY was also $86.43, if anyone is curious. All I got with him was his wig.

    9. Teehee I know! <3 There have been other dolls on different sites that have caught my eye... but it seems everytime I find another doll that I like... DOD just sucks me right back in! XD They are by far my fav company! <3 I've had such good experiences with them!

Haha but honestly my signature... that's like narrowing it down from all of their dolls! XD (cause honestly... if I ever had the slightest chance... I would so buy all of their dolls! haha! <3

oh and on the topic of figure drawing, I love using my Boy for some poses, though because his arms aren't double jointed it's kinda hard, that's another reason why I'm so happy the DOI's have double joints! <3

I'm an anime artist, but I do like to give my boy bodies some realistic qualities... like abs and muscles... yumm :nosebleed

    10. Does it take DOD like ... 5 months to really ship? D:

    11. Too true...they will never be as good as having a real human to draw, but obviously I don't have access to it anytime I want...especially when I'm at home. I'm not going to ask my family to pose naked. :shudder But a BJD is way better than those wooden dolls...I don't see how anyone can use the wooden ones effectively!

    12. It really depends on what you order... Dolls are normally up to 8 weeks (2 months) but I've ordered just clothes from them and got it within 2 weeks. Sometimes though with special items and events, it may take up to 10 weeks. :)

    13. So.. how does the the sending your id thing work? My father is a bit wary, and as it's his credit card we're using, I thought I'd see if I can get some info of it. He's ... worried about identity theft.

Also, does anyone know if the fedora is included in Luke ver2's clothes option?

    14. I would say that yes the hat is included with the doll if you buy him with his clothing option. If the hat wasn't included I'm sure DOD would have put it specifically on the page, like for Luke Ver1, they make a specific saying that the black jacket in the pictures is not included. So I'm pretty sure Luke Ver2's hat will be included :)

As for the Credit Card payment, I have never actually used it myself, but from what I hear, you can send the info in an email (you can space out the info in 2 emails to be safer) but then after DOD does the transaction they delete all information, so it seems pretty safe :) I know tons of people who have done the Credit Card method and I haven't heard of any problems with identity theft :)

    15. On shipping time: When I ordered my I-ra fullset last year, it took 6 weeks for her to arrive, and she came with a ton of stuff. So hopefully the shipping times won't be too awful. :)

    16. same here, I sometimes use my boy for my figure drawing. ^__^

can't wait till I get my Luke :D

    17. Thank you thank you. :D The whole reason I love luke 2 more than 1 IS that hat (I actually own one exactly like it, so we'll match. :D)
Okay, well, I'm going to be getting my transaction on soon, so he'll be order and beautiful and home soon. :D Thank you.

    18. Oh I know! :D And Luke will be my second boy, so hopefully I can start working on couples pics too! <3 EE~~~ I'm so excited!

    19. I think I may try and use the Credit Card method... hmm...

But you're right, that is an AWESOME hat! XD

    20. question for those who used CC for payment...

I've been sending DOD a couple of emails w/ my dad's scanned CC and ID. It seems that DOD thought that I used paypal. and when I send them again another the email was bounce back to me... meaning my email to them was failed. I'm just worried that they might cancel my purchase next week if they didn't get my another email I just sent to them...

Does their fax # is working?
