1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    2. No doubt that lace is a great idea.:fangirl:
I missed it too. I have been searching auction websites for the past few years but found nothing.
I'm glad DV want to make Nagas.
When I received them, the half-year wait was worth.

    3. Medieval European fabric would mostly be wool for outer-layers and linen for underlayer. The very rich would have shown off with luxury fabrics such as velvet and silk. They would have dressed the fabric up with fancy trims or have part of the clothes made with patterned fabrics like Brocade. Towards the end of the Medieval period, satin damask also become availble to the rich. I can't remember off the top of my head what dye colours were availble, some of them are specific to the area they were produced and exported/imported by other countries. So might need research if you were after a particular country/time period :)

    4. I've had a chance to have a few minutes play with my naga doll, I know everyone was curious about their ability to stand. I found mine was very top heavy so could only just get mine to stand one way (and not very stable). I also tried it on a 1/6 invisible stand and that works well so I'll definitely use the stand!

Bonus, I wanted to see how the DV naga compares to the old Sugarble naga-

It's interesting to see the difference in the engineering! :)

    5. I don't have the Sugarble naga, only the DV one (it and DZ MiYou arrived today), but this comparison is interesting to see! The Sugarble one is surprisingly small in comparison and I thought they would be around the same size. The DV one also looks more immature in comparison face wise, more cutesy than Sugarble. It's really fun to see sculpt comparisons like this!

P.S. Thanks for the advice with medieval fabrics! Mel will definitely be wearing velvet or silk (leaning toward velvet though) hehe!

    6. The biggest challenge with Medieval fabrics will be getting the right drape and weight that’s the correct scale. I’ve sacrificed velvet hair accessories for fabric as those tend to be thin enough. Little trims of fur would also be appropriate. Do you have a photo reference? I could be more helpful seeing what you are thinking off.
