1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Dream Valley Mini Discussion Thread 2

Apr 27, 2024

    1. Video up! @Iron_Dog I'm wondering if I'll need to do similar. The idea of trying to swap his hands out right now makes me cringe, expecting the hook injuries.

    2. @Cryptid While the 3rd arm doesn't hold position as tightly as it did originally, I'm 100% fine with that by getting the trade-off of being able to remove his head without needing a champion power lifter to do it for me because it was so tight. Not worrying about whether the resin would be damaged from every movement because of that tightness was also a relief.

    4. Waiting for my dream valley bat to get home, checking my messages daily :D has anyone gotten notifications from DV about it yet?

    5. @Cryptid - Thank you for sharing the video! I agree the sculpting looks really nice. He's definitely staying on my list for now!
Edit: Appreciate the three-wolf-moon reference too. ;)

@KittyOrochimaru - Congrats on your handsome wolf! Do you already have a plan in mind for him?

    6. Yay @Cryptid I really enjoyed the video! The extra hands looks really neat and I'm glad the tail is strung on. That's a bummer about the stringing being so tight. My dragon was the first dream valley I had so I had assumed it was extra tight because HEAVY but wolfy does not appear to need super tight strings... Ugh restringing is such a pain!

And I'm happy to see another arrival @KittyOrochimaru !

I ordered the full set....and from DDE no less, so I probably have at least another month to go....but my birthday is in March so maybe he will be here for my birthday!

    7. hello!! does anyone have candle knight cadel? i am highly considering ordering him, but i'd love to see owner pictures of him first (:

    8. He's gonna be an arctic wolf! I'm still gonna keep the cowboy aesthetic but more space/sci-fi!

Also to anyone wondering about hybrid possibilities the head totally works on a female body too.
I don't really collect MSD so i only have a couple but it looks really nice! Body is a Yemaozi Body, also in Mia White

    9. @Sianserais When I started thinking about preview images, I knew what I had to do.

@skyealloway I know that restringing will likely be necessary if I ever want to get those hands on...but boy do I fear it. And feel like I may need to wear my safety goggles for it.

@KittyOrochimaru The mia white looks gorgeous. It helps show off the sculpting, I think.

    10. The new doll, Tooth, is up for sale, and looks like she might be a good option for more muscled ladies. However, Alice's is missing pics showing off the sculpt itself, rather than the fullset. Fortunately, DV did put more pics up as a gallery on their Weibo account here. I wish there was a direct link to Tooth's album for archival purposes, but no dice.

    11. Oh I love her sculpt, that attitude and those muscles are a fantastic combo. I went into this year planning on no more doll purchases until I manage to finally complete sewing projects for my others, but I think I'll be breaking that resolution lmao. Now to decide if I just want her snarky head or the neutral head too...

    12. She has a good super-hero/villain build, I think I kind of want her blank. <3
I do not normally go for girls, double so human, and/or blank, but like gears are turning for where she could fit with my other 1/4th dolls.

    13. Thanks for sharing the link with photos! I really like her, but no more new dolls for me. lol
Her muscle body is super cool though, I'm really glad they made this! Her extra shoulder joints look very interesting, and I hope someone posts a video trying out the posing capabilities of it.

Maybe eventually I can grab just this body to replace one I have. :dance

    14. @Cryptid - Also thanking you for linking that! I'd only looked at the photos on AC and didn't even realize it was a muscle body! That's nice to see. Not interested in her theme or outfit, but I do like her face too. She may have to go on my maybe-someday list, since I won't be buying her in this round.

    15. I think I'm going to have to get one... she's perfect for one of my OCs...

    16. Thanks for the video! I am guessing the head comes separately, not already on the doll? I was thinking I could use the body for Rigel (because I really don't need two identical bodies right now, not enough room as it is) and the body looks like it could stand on its own.

And thank you for this! I was thinking of using the head for a female design- there are so few female anthros and most of them look more human-like than the males, especially in the head, I was hoping to find something more equal.

    17. Yes, the head was separate in the box. He's very tall even without it on, which was likely their reasoning there.

    18. Dream Valley! (sobs in 1/4 scale is too small) The tooth-shoes! :(:...(

I understand why they are staying away from bigger dolls - 1/4 scale is much more affordable.
But man... if she came in 60+ cm, I would order so fast...

    19. Thanks!
I did once remove and replace an off-topic 1/12 head that was loosely strung and it felt like a lot of force, so... I'm feeling a little intimidated. I mean this should imply I can fulfill my head swapping plans easier, but still.

    20. I ordered a fullset on Dec 2nd and haven't received him yet. I will be sure to post him here and a box opening on my youtube as well :)
