    1. I love shirts with snaps, they make fitting with wings so much easier!

    2. The body blushing/faceup is company right? If so I'm definitely looking forward to my Silina when she arrives.

    3. Yup! They really did a lovely job with the painting!

    4. Wow he's so lifelike.

    5. Hi, anyone can advice me how long is the suitable elastic string should be used on DV 1/4 body? because the one i got is really tight...

    6. Besides the length of the elastic in the dolls being very tight, I also found tightness comes with the thickness that Dream Valley uses too. The thick string tends to get stuck in the holes of the dolls. o_o I was surprised when I took one apart. If you take out the string of the doll, just measure it up to your new elastic but a little more. I found using the same length with thinner string makes it less tight but also the doll can get a bit floppy. But that's like probably string half the thickness of the string they used since I stole the string from another doll of mine. lol

    7. Thank you, this is really helpful! :D Also, I agree that the string they use is thick! I cut my finger with wire when I pulled the stuck string in the holes lol I really need a proper tools set

    8. I stopped using wire for that reason. Though a bit pain of the ass, I have used ribbon to loop around and pull string (worse it can give you is a rope burn but at least it hurts less than wire and you get a better grip wrapping it around your hand). If you have long tweezers, you can usually get it through the insides just fine. Sometimes if a doll is super tight at the head (aka for MNFs esp), I will leave the ribbon attached and just stuff it inside the head so it's easier to take apart later. lol

    9. I use a shoelace for pulling the string. To get it through channels I have a pipecleaner with a small loop twisted on one end. I push the non-loop end of the pipecleaner through the resin piece, loop the shoelace through the elastic loop and push the ends of the shoelace through the loop of the pipecleaner by about 2"-3". Pull the pipecleaner through the resin part just to get hold of the shoelace and then pull using the shoelace.

Since shoelaces are fairly long, sturdy and generally on the thinner size, you can typically use them on most dolls (tinies require something else because of the size). I've been able to string even my 70cm boys with this method of pulling elastic. You can even wrap the shoelace around your hand for extra grip because of the length of the shoelace.

    10. thank you so much for the advice!
yesterday i restrung my doll with a thinner string but it's too loose so I doubled it. But the legs ended up keep bending. Is the string too tight? I can't find the string with the same wide that DV use... (don't know if theirs is 4mm or 3.5mm wide)

    12. i've been looking for fellow Mia owners- anyone else have her and having trouble getting wigs to sit right?

i've tried a few on her, and i am just bamboozled. 6-7 seems to fit best, but her ears sit so far back that it leaves this weird gap at the top! and 5-6 certainly didn't fit on her. and i definitely didn't want to use too much force around her ears. maybe my spiritdoll just has a very egg-shaped head in comparison, lol. is it worth snipping some slits in the cap, maybe?

(also holy moly i feel y'all on restringing. i couldn't even get her head back on when i took it off to put eyes in! it bent my head puller!! 2mm fits the itty bitty hooks perfectly, but she's too floppy to pose for pictures. which is so frustrating, cause i love her to bits and want to take more photos!)

    13. Your doll may be kicky because it was doubled? I am not too to give diagnostics if I am not handling them. lol You could also tight the elastic to be shorter so there is greater tension than doubling. Sorry I can't help more. I know when I restrung with thinner, it did give her a loose feel but not super floppy. And she wasn't kicky when it was strung tight the way DV did it.

I have a Mia but soon to not have her. Have you tried a silicone wig cap or using velcro to just keep the wig attached? That may help. I'll try on some wigs when I get home if you like.

    14. that would be awesome! if for no other reason than to confirm i'm not crazy, lol.

wigs seem to stay on totally fine cause the 6-7 elastic fits perfectly, it just sits oddly. it's not a major deal, it just makes wigs sit further forward than i like.

i'm also a bit nervous to use putty to keep the bubblegum in, since i'm not sure how in the world you'd get it out!

    15. Has anyone has issues with too-tight stringing in a body without the third arm? I ordered a Vine (on the B4-04 body), a while back and he seems to have shipped recently. I've never restrung a body, so I'm a bit worried about him being too tightly strung when he arrives. It would be nice to know if it's just a problem with the extra arm bodies, but also if it's not so I can prepare accordingly.

    16. @AceofPancakes - I bought two no third arm bodies and both were extremely tight. One of them cracked my head puller.

    17. @xyuemoto I see! That's unfortunate, but good to know what to expect, at least :sweat

    18. Does anyone know if the DV resin in normal or normal pink matches dollzone normal pink? I'd like to order a b4-04 body for a DZ head I have, but I want to make sure they'll match.
A white skin comparison between DV and doll chateau would also be helpful.

    19. I can do a WS between DC and DV. My DC is a Clemans from the winter event of 2017 and I bought him new from Oobie Doll in August of 2018. My dolls live in their boxes so any mellowing should be minimal. Additionally, the head on my DV body is a SD Phiel and the resin match is 99.9%. I can get those pics for you later today.

    20. i've only got white in both as well, and i do have a DZ pink, but no DV pink. but if you wanted to see the DZ pink next to the two brands of WS, let me know.
