1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Dream Valley Mini Discussion Thread

    1. Hmm I don't have a boy yet, but both my girls stand rock steady very easily.

    2. The long boi is very very tall.

    3. sometimes i put my Vine in a bit of a "swagger", one foot is kicked out a little to balance, then rotate the thigh piece a bit for center gravity. almost like a hip cocked stance. i'm not great at this yet... but luckily his personality is such that it works for him...

a bit of wire might help if you're not against using it, if the knee is collapsing. Vine's strung so tight from factory there's no way it can even get in there, but it helped me with other dolls.

    4. Nice thing about my dragon girl- she's effectively a tripod!

    5. I got him from Clover Singing. Do you think if I send them pictures of the broken part, I could place an order for it?
This is the condition of his finger. I'm crying...

    6. I'm also having difficulty to make my Vine stand and pose, especially after I changed the factory string. even when i use a stand, his legs will bend.

    7. @shouie - emailing Clover might work for you since she is official dealer and places orders frequently she might be able to order a replacement hand alongside.

    8. I need to get a non potato cam picture of him, but I ended up redoing my Chaos boy's face and darkened his body blushing.

    9. I'm finally able to join this thread and mostly I'm here to get ideas for how to clothe the body! I have my boy in some AC clothes and they're fine, but if people know where to get patterns or more tailored clothing I'm open to ideas.

Meet Nefertem, he's a daemon of dreams and nightmares.

    10. @shouie

I agree w/ @Grimalkin, definitely message Christina about it. She's always been super helpful, and should be able to get a replacement with no issues.

I hope your baby gets fixed soon! :eusa_pray

@Magnus Vale As far as potatoes go, he's a very handsome one :D

I'm a bit confused as to where to post about these new DV merman boys, since the torso is 1/4 in proportions, but the length is over 50cm? I'm struggling to decide on a resin colour for Noel. I made a mock-up for the hair/eyes and how the blueish-grey resin would look on the body & face. Please help me choose :chibi

      Here's the main body comparison
      resin comparison - DV merman
      resin comparison - DV merman

And here are the two faces
grey: DV Lance mock-up grey resin
white: DV lance mock-up white resin
      DV lance mock-up white resin
      DV Lance mock-up grey resin

I tried my best to get the picture of the white resin body to look truly 'grey', according to their resin swatches, but it's an imperfect science *_*

Thanks in advance for the help :sumomo:

Edit for photo links... not sure how to embed them fancily in the text, so I replaced them with links instead :sweat

    11. For cases like that, the doa staff usually says to put them where they’re proportionally, vs the length. So they’d be fine here

    12. @NamelessPierrot thank you! I was hoping that was the case, but I saw different interpretations on the Marketplace for example, so wasn't sure.

Also I've fixed the links... since my fancy embedding attempt didn't work *_*

    13. @mxwutter I love the eyes in these! I think the grey is a really nice way to emphasize the robotic components of the sculpt, whereas the WS looks more human. As far as personal taste goes I would go with the grey. I like how it highlights the detailing on his face, in the mockup.

    14. I love the look of him in grey but I'm highly biased as I've a certified weakness for grey resin (I'm up to 12? 13? grey dolls now). It would be very cool if DV let you have a WS upper body/head and a grey tail & hip parts.

The screw detailing of the merboy strongly reminds me of the same details Soul Doll did with their Souloids and it's an awesome touch. I'm rather glad that other dolls are tempting me more strongly right now or I'd be giving serious thought to getting one to be yet another cyborg from my Dream Time World (I have an SD Souloid Phiel already).

    15. @mxwutter - i also like the grey, for the mech feel and i think the eyes look really good with it, and i also love that iris style choice for for him. :love

these biomech ones are really cool, i was thinking a bit like the DLace cyborgs too with all the panels. such a great style with options like sleek or rusted or dawn-o-robots... i keep wondering how much i'll be kicking myself for waiting.

i'd be a goner if they had webbed hands similar to the ladies they released first... those hands just sent me... i hope they might do another set either mech or the fishier style, but with male hands like the girl's and with the bones...
I'd be nabbed: hook, line & sinker

    16. I know it’s silly cause I always love really weird creative concepts but for the Mer boys I was hoping for something more traditionally Mer folk. I hope at some point they do that too but I can still appreciate a good undead mech merman.

    17. I'm actually a little disappointed with the mer boys. I really wanted an undead mer boy like the girls, but the mechanical stuff is just too much for me. Plus the mecha stuff is engraved into the resin, so I couldn't just work around it either. *sigh*

Anyway, here's a pic of my two lovely potatoes. Camus, my Grayson, is actually getting sent away for a custom face up soon, while I adore his fullset body painting and everything else, I really don't like how DV painted his lips and they did his face blushing waaaay too dark for the white resin. He's still adorable, even with his flaws, though. I'm honestly surprised I managed to get these two into the same picture though, posing both Camus and Randall is always an interesting proposition when they're alone!

    18. I love your boys, @Magnus Vale but I can imagine how much fun that tail is to work with on Camus

    19. Tails are cool but frequently awkward. My newest guy (OT for this thread) has a tail and it's a bit challenging to get him to sit without his tail in the way. Vasyl (Soom Vesuvia boy) has a scorpion tail and it makes standing him a bit of a challenge because of the weight of it. I have 4 others with tails but I made those and they usually don't pose a problem. I have 2 nagas as well and they can be challenging to pose since their lower half is basically a snake tail. I've a merboy, too, and he straight up can't sit/stand unaided.

    20. It makes a great tripod for helping him to stand up, but clothing and other poses are a real wrestling match!
