It also looks like her armour is detachable which is great. Being able to have it if you want but not forced to is a wonderful option.

 

Turns out Gavalloni on Etsy's small SD size fit my lady surprisingly well!

 

I'm very nervously holding my breath for Aurora, she's stunning but I'm so scared of the price tag.

 

Got to agree with you @Veravey , though I'm not sure whether I prefer Aurora or Dawn, the full griffin version, but that winged lion body is amazing.

 

Does anyone have advice or steps for stringing the DV angel bodies? I feel like her string is too tight so I might buy new elastic before I finish putting her all together.

Also the new griffin looks amazing. DV why you gotta play me dirty like that? I dont have any dolly money. xD

Dawn is absolutely gorgeous
She is so incredible posable.
But the tail doesen't look good for me. I think posable tail more similar to the lion tail would look better.

 

I just placed my order for Dawn, the griffin without extras. He’s going to come in whie and blank cause I already have plans for his design :3

Also kind of expecting Sylvain to be shipped out any day now. Just passed the 6 month mark :3

Finally got around to styling my wolftaur's wig and doin' some faceup. Gotta track down some blond lashes.


Wig is from ForMyDoll. After thinning, I braided the long parts for texture, wrapped it to his head and then steamed it to set the anime mullet shape.


I really need to unstring and suede him, he does nottttttt like to stand lol

 

I've just seen pictures of Dawn and oh my gosh do I desperately want one. The wings, the articulation, just everything is so gorgeous I want to throw my non-existent money at it.

 

Oh man, I just saw the official release pictures and coffee Dawn is gorgeous. I wish it wasn't so much extra for the pretty color though...

Hi everyone! I'm very excited to join in here. I've got a DV Frejia (human) in purple who I love, although she's blank and I'm not 100% sure how I want her faceup to look like yet so I don't feel great with sharing her just yet.

But yesterday I was very fortunate and was able to grab a blank Sylves (dragon) in grey -- one of my grail dolls from DDE, I can't get over that he'll be mine hopefully this week if all goes well!! He even is supposed to come with the preorder lance! I've already fitted him into the book series i'm writing, he's got a ton of character that I will hopefully share with you all at some point. I'm going to make a project journal for him when he arrives, I have BIG plans for his attire that I really would like to document along the way.

Sorry for the long post but I am super stoked -- DV has some of the coolest dolls out there in my opinion.

(By the way, does anyone know if Sylves's horns are magnetic? I'm pretty sure they are but I'm not 100%)

 

I just got and unpacked my blank Sylves today, I'vll try sharing pics later. The horns are magnetic and the head has corresponding magnets, of course.

In other news,
I've read here about how tight the Dream Valley dolls are strung but SHEESH! are they tight. I didn't even entertain the tought of putting his head on, just a little tug at the S-hook at the top was impossible. And the squeaking and creaking every time I moved something was so loud. I even left the dragon wings in protective wrapping to wait for restringing.

@moonlightnocturne, be prepared to restring your boy, so tight

I sacrificed a little bit of poseability for Kheima's 3rd arm when I had him re-strung so he wasn't so insanely tight (he creaked whenever I moved anything, too). His 3rd arm still poses well but it can't remain in place for some positions like when he was factory strung.

Kyrieleison (Dean Giraffe-taur) is also very, very tight and I don't know how I'll get his head off when it comes time to send him out for a face-up. Oddly, he typically doesn't make the same creaking sounds as his brother, Kheima, did. His lower limbs also seem easier to move despite the tightness of his stringing.

 

One thing I found re: the tightness is that sometimes it's lopsided, to boot. I had to restring my wolftaur body since I discovered some of the pieces were swapped between legs and found that he wasn't as horribly tight after I took a lot of care to even out the tension across both sides in the process, despite using the exact same elastic. He's still the tightest strung out of all my dolls, but he moves without creaking now and his head can be taken off and on simply with a head puller.

Using totally new string is probably better though, since that was also a two-person workout and I never want to do it again
