But yes DV this year is... I don't know what to say XD I'm glad I resisted the Mantis and got rewarded by this fancy dragon AND MY GRIFFON this year XD (I mean, I'm only getting the later next year probably, but it's my griffon that I wanted since forever )

 

@Snowy OMG, yes. I was able to stay strong against both the special resin colour event Luts had and the special grey resin event SartorialJ had. Not sure how I remained strong but my wallet is grateful. The body I need for Qayin is going to be an RS Mu in a colour matched shade with a larger neck mod. Because it's RS the price for all that is very reasonable at less than $300US (plus shipping, of course) when I was quoted a price juuust before Covid hit (which is why I hadn't been able to order way back when). But the Canadian $$ sucks so I'll need to add on at least $50-$75CAN for the body plus whatever in shipping and all that adds up fast.

But damn that Bethel is sooooo tempting because he's for a really good price and there'd be no real waiting since he'd be 2nd hand. I liked him from the first time I saw him but I have no idea who he is and that is one of my Dolly Rules; nobody comes home who isn't already a character. I mean... I have broken that #1 rule a few times and it has totally worked out fine but (I feel like I'm trying to talk myself into the purchase. I should shut up now).....

Mine arrived on 2nd August, but I didn't have time to make pics. I'm definitly working too long. I hope to make some pics of him on Saturday or Sunday. My Sylves is the Normal skin one with DV's make up.

And don't buy now :3 Pretty sure for the money you can get the Bethel you can get that body. Also: DV is up to something again, I've already seen a new pet and new kittys (yosd sized thought), so I wouldn't be too surprised if there's something else lurking around the corner, so soon after the Aurora&Dawn release.

Nope, the blue ones are from my own 'eye storage'. He came with red-orange ones and since the blue ones were closer to my concept I switched them out right away.

@Snowy Coming up with characters is NEVER a problem for me lol. Right now Dolly Brain is trying very determinedly to pair up that Bethel with another doll I've seen 2nd hand and am desperately trying not to buy. Canadian money is trading at $1US=$1.2931274CAN right now. However, that is not the price it would be in exchange via PP or through my CC (it would be higher, like $1.35CAN or maybe even $1.40CAN to $1US).

I saw the teaser on Insta of the new pet. I don't do pet dolls but there was that knee-jerk buy it! reaction when I saw it.

Do we know how long Dawn is going to be sticking around?

I don't mind paying a bit more than the event price but I still very much want one though it might be some time until I can manage it. Am I going to be able to buy one new next year, say, or have I missed my shot and am going to have to hope and haunt the second hand market?

 

There's always a second farewell-will-never-be-sold-again event. The corpse mermaids and little dragons had one, and now there were also the giraffetaurs. So I'd wager the griffons will have another sale at some point.

 

I somehow managed to grab an eagle version rah in stock (thank you to the person who pointed me at him XD) and I am ecstatic!!

But this also means I am completely unprepared for a new child. I don't want him to be naked for longer than necessary lol.

His measurements appear to be the same as the standard B4-15 body. I'll want some wrap leggings or some kind of lower body cover at minimum.

Can anyone point me in a direction for clothes? What sizes should I look for?

I tend to check places for InStock additions from time to time and drool after a bunch.
There are blank mermaid-Abyss and some sea dragons at Denver, and varied pet dolls in both shops I mentioned as well as other places. I want all the Dragons, all of 'em, I love dragons
Buuutt.... my doll budget is already ripping at the seams as is

Well I don't blame you, dragons are the best! I love how much variety they can get! I've been drooling over those huge dragon boys, but don't think I'd ever be able to bring one home lol.

In-stock items are appreciated evil. That's how I ended up with my Dean girraffe-taur. I don't regret a thing but my wallet wept uncontrollably for some time.

 

Yes, in-stock is a lovely unexpected evil - that's how I grabbed a Rita on the mantis body from DDE. Worth every penny. I see someone grabbed the in-stock Freya already, lol.

 

Oh, thank goodness you're the one who got him! I saw him and remembered seeing someone posting about wanting one, but by the time I found your username and was about to message you I refreshed the page and he was sold. Big relief! Looking forward to seeing pictures if you decide to post any.

I love the mantis body! I have several living leaf children of my own! So far I've been able to resist the temptation myself but can't blame you one bit lol.

Awwwww!! Thank you for hunting for me!! I love that at least two people on this forum remembered someone was looking for him and hunted me out, it makes me feel all warm and smooshy inside! There will definitely be pictures, and maybe an unboxing video lol!

 

I definitely don't have an issue with stalking Denver Doll's In Stock Dream Valley Collection, nope! Even though my doll budget is non extant. Ha ha ha....still, though, looking forward to seeing more peoples' Sylves in the future, since I didn't manage to pick one up.

Anyway, on the topic of dragon gentlemen, here's Camus. Found another shirt that works with his wings and tail, so I am hap.

 

BJDivas has a blank Sylves in Normal skin if you don't specifically want the grey or fullset one

received my Nierus and Elvish today! Nierus came with the extra Abyss head as a gift which i wasn't expecting
she is incredible, i'm blown away by how delicate all her parts are. DV has my number on speed dial, they make so many incredible things i would love to have.

I got the last grey one off DDE as an early birthday gift to self. Might maybe do a bit of crazy modding and exchange his wings for robotic arms whenever my Coral Reef robotic arms backpack thing gets made and shipped. That is a future me worry though.
