Dressing Spiritdoll Boys!

YAY New Clothing out for the proud size line WoT wOt! (i know i have my eye out on the black down coat,) also read on the same page that there clothing is "Suitable for: Spirit proud boy, Hound, and SD17boy". that said, Has any one shopped Tatabjd.com they have a vast selection of hound and sd17 sized clothing i have also seen some spirit doll boys modeling some of there garments.

 

I bought the Abies outfit recenty -- the coat and pants are nice, but I was very disappointed in the white shirt. The fabric was like a low-quality sheet -- the collar was actually a double thickness of the icky fabric, big honkin' buttons on the sleeves and a ZIPPER under one arm to put it on. I was so disappointed I had to check out the website again to see if the one there looked the same. (It does, so at least I didn't get a lower quality one than the one they had displayed)

Anyway, I snipped the double thickness along the folded edge and distressed the edges a bit and I like it better. But I'm still looking for a better shirt to fit him.

I broke down and ordered a couple of items for my new Spirit body I bought here on DOA. I have plans for the body to be dressed one way, but he will also want to blend in so hoping these work. Will give full report on material and workmanship once on boy.

 

OK I tried the SD 17 shirts from Tata and they did not fit. I did find the Dollmore Model jeans fit him very well.
I have also tried on a Soom pullover, fit but was to long and was to open on chest just didn't look good. So hoping the stuff I ordered from both Spiritdoll and from SusanAZwill work ideal for him. By the way here he is so far.

 

Clothes made for SSDF mostly fit them well. ^^

 

Will the entire luts Baron set work for proud? I know the sleeves will be a little short but will the pants work also?

I fear that 70size from TATA might not fit.....as far i supose, spiritdoll body seems quite too large to share clothes with dollshe/dollzone 70/etc (which is TATA's parameters)

Tata actually just recently updated with several clothing sets made by "Dondevoy", a Chinese maker who also has a thread here on the MP. Their "SSDF" size clothes are actually modeled by a Proud v2 body (with either a Volks F38 or Heath head, depending on the set), so I assume they will fit. The buying options are a bit weird; everything's listed under the jacket, with options for adding the shirt and/or pants in little check boxes... So I assume you must buy the jacket if you want the other pieces. You might have better luck ordering through the DoA marketplace if you don't want the full set.

Also, I should be getting some Sadol SSDF clothes and some custom Marsh pants this week (tomorrow, hopefully)... I'll update when I get everything tried on!

 

Okay, so... Sadol SSDF pants do not fit at the waist (they'll go on, but aren't close to fastening). They do lie flat, so if you have a long shirt it's not noticeable (and you get a pair of painted-on pants). The Sadol sweater fits, it's a little long but I think that might just be the style. The Marsh pants fit (obviously) although they are looser, and the leather ones fit a bit better than the cloth ones I got (maybe just because of the amount of stretch in the fabric, I don't know). I might have mentioned this before, but I have a sweater that was made for Mecha Angel (and fit the MA model quite nicely in sales photos) that fits very well too.

Hope that was kind of helpful... In the end, I think Luts SSDF pants will fit, you just have to make sure it's a loose cut. Or very stretchy. Spandex does wonders. I think SSDF tops will fit no problem.

 

..I got Dondevoy's smexy green jacket and it fits like a dream. I love it. I also got some Kelvin Klein underwear for 1/3 and they are stretched on but they go on

 

Would anyone happen to know if Dollheart 70cm clothing can be worn by a Spiritdoll body? I want to buy the Steampunk outfit but am not sure about size.

 

I've got a Spiritdoll here and he's wearing clothing by Luts. I bought an SSDF Cane and got a bunch of clothing with him. I assume it's all from Luts. I'll try it on him later today. The pants look fine that he's wearing. Perfect fit.

 

Another bump - I need a company for pants for my Firson and Thorn, dang it!

 

Does anyone know if SpiritDoll Proud boys v2 can wear Angell Studio Charm clothes ?
I´ve seen a set that I really love. Seems like the pant should fit but I´m unsure for the top as SD Doll have a larger chest circ.

 

I tried to squeeze my Stayne in Tata (leather) and NineStyle (black denim) hound pants.
They both fit very snug and nicely around the legs, even the length is right. But there is no chance that you ever could close these pants.

 

Hmm im very interested in knowing this stuff too .-.

I ordered 3 pairs of pants from Sunny's World. I just gave her the measurements, and they fit perfectly!

Also, the baggier SD17 shirts/sweaters from nine9 fit well.
